| Mei Mei's coffin-cum-gravestone is similar to that of Gojo's being a special-grade curse, and it all hinges on Ui Ui being loyal to her to die for the betterment to reveal the cursed spirit, which his speciality of dealing with domains is just as tough as any other. As Nanami and Maki prepare to thwart another cursed spirit, in the form of the octopus Dagon, Naobito Zen'in draws first blood and proceeds to smash him endlessly with his animation framing techniques, despite the latter's ability on water attacks. That's quite an attack sequence, but to be captured by Dagon's Domain Expansion, the Grade 1 sorcerers are truly in a danger zone. Beaten but not down, Megumi infiltrates Dagon's DE and provides a cover for Maki and Nanami to act while his domain is kept active to open a barrier through to get the 3 Grade 1 sorcerers out. LO AND BEHOLD, DADDY TOJI IS HERE!!! |

| 3/5 Fine episode, there's obviously a clear dip in the animation especially on the 2nd half but i think it does a job, I guess The episode begins with Mei Mei and lemme tell you, some face compositions are absolute treat during her sequences. Dagon vs Nanami, Naobito & Maki was a different case tho, choreography was all over the place. Too many stills and slow-mo ruins the immersion but they do a decent enough job to convey the action. The colors are great and visually pleasing Toji enters the frame and was like " Are you winning, son?" but honestly, im a bit pissed that they didn't keep the narration during his scene but i guess they'll add that at the beginning of the next ep~~ |

| Mei Mei fight is amazing. 2 1st grade sorcerer having a hard time fighting a special grade (?) curse. Didn't expecting Megumi appear to aid... AND it's another surprise when His dad appear at the end xD |

| Mei Mei is pretty cool her fight was nice. Seeing Dagon transform is cool hes an interesting cursed spirit i like him but not as much as Jogo. Seeing Maki Nanami Naobito fight Dagon was cool Nanami slicing those fish was amazing, Naobito losing an arm and still fighting is amazing along with Maki tanking blows from Dagon then Megumi ppulling up and clutching up then Toji entering this ep was a blast. |

| I'd say is quite a bit of a letdown as a manga reader... i find the fight a lot better in the manga but honestly this fight isn't that much of a big deal (i wouldn't say it's not something irrelevant ofc). Anyways though TOJIIIIIIIII |

| Wtf happened? This part in the manga was incredible. Instead they downgraded and rushed it, such a shame. I’m honestly floored they could screw up such an obvious home run this bad, I feel bad for hyping, this is not what the manga was like. If you enjoyed then that’s good. It’s like they’re missing so many of the finer details or something that it’s just not translating from the manga. Maybe budget constraints? MAPPA picked a helluva time to suddenly save if so. Or perhaps it was production schedule, basically slapped a fat one over the plate screw-foul into the stands on the upper deck. Shibuya was literally a big greasy hamburger, maybe they let themselves get too hungry? I mean, the good ideas are obvious right? The manga was soooooooo goood, nothing like this. |
