I'm actually wondering if in this case, the seven deadly sins are more related to the seven deadly character archetypes. A lot of people have complained I think about how cliche they are, but maybe the seven deadly sins part is a jab at themselves at how they intentionally have characters that are the seven possibly least relatable character types. Perhaps they're trying to help the watcher relate to them as much as one another in the series?

I didn't post yesterday since I was a bit busy, but this premiere episode was a lot of fun. I've heard tons of hype for this show, and have been pretty interested in watching it these past few weeks.

Besides some choppy animation at some parts, Kiznaiver is already proving to be a pretty entertaining, intense, funny, and enjoyable series. I loved Nico's moment at the fairy alter. Hope this keeps up, since this is my first Studio Trigger show.

Hmmmm not very original premise but well delivered for me.
I'm interested in the characters and how things will develop between them.
So much mc with a hint of dark past in the very first episode this season.
Is this suppose to be a trend..? o_O

Not really interesting first episode for me...I cringe many times. Seriously? Just random bunch of high school students being selected into some experiment.

Eh, I'll watch a few more episodes. The opening is catchy though

Probably the worst plot so far this season out of everything I am watching. I was constantly shaking my head thinking 'who wrote this shit" the entire time.

Also the mc is the most boring and least likeable of the season.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought this.

They're trying to be super artsy but failing so hard when it came to dialogue and character.

It felt like it was trying to go for that monogatari vibe with character interactions but it fell flat.

If the show can bring the character out of the shit they're in now and make them interesting though, I can see this becoming a really good anime.

The characters won't be interesting because we seen them as they are. Hollow cliche archetypes and nothing more. Honestly the only interesting or likable character in the entire show is Hajime (kamina 2.0) and thats it. I would have much preferred if he was the mc than this male Rai Ayanami clone.

NICE OPINION. I wait and see how it will be developed. Just because you like Kamina-clone doesn't mean everyone should not like other characters.

I don't understand about the sharing system. In the last part when Tenga was slapped they share the same pain. So what about MC fall from the stairs

Not sure about that, but since the MC does not feel pain, maybe there was no pain to share.

Blue said damage was divided betwen them, they probably were uncouscious when he was pushed from stairs and that's why they didn't feel pain from it.

Unlikely. Okada relies on not explaining anything sos he can introduce new random things for more melodrama. We are talking about a writer who, in 24 episodes of Wixoss could not clearly define damn card game rules.

Its a trend with Okada shows as she does not write anyone normal or relatable, which most likely more because of a lack of talent than anything. All the characters she creates feel like literally aliens.
The only kind of character progression in Okada's shows is finding out how deep the rabbit hole of weirdness will go.

Okada wrote Iron Blooded Orphans right? The characters there were a lot better than they are here and honestly I just wish the characters weren't so textbook to their archetypes. One of the characters that annoyed me to no end was the delusional girl....look it is okay to be eccentric but flat out retarded is just ugh.

She only writers drama. How bad and surreal that drama gets depends on how much control she has.

There's a difference between an Okada who is controlled and restricted and Okada who has full control of what to write.

IBO Is example of former(And IBO was very controlled since that was pretty much by-the-book gundam with nothing new or innovative or even remotely different from the rest. Albeit it had traditional Okada pacing problems and went verrry over-dramatic from time to time when something "dark" was happening).
This and Mayoiga are of latter.

This one gets a shot just from the horrible OP. I would not be surprised if that induced nausea in some people....bleh. Been a while since I actively hated an OP.

Seems like they did a solid job for what they were aiming for here. Unfortunately what they were aiming for doesn't appeal to me XD. A collection of unlikable stereotypes being kidnapped, experimented on, and tortured. Yeah....not my thing.

I'm sure the show will have some crazy antics, but doesn't seem that appealing after the first episode.

As a Gainax fangirl I had high expectations before watching Kiznaiver and luckily they were met. This is the second strongest 1st episode I watched after Jojo and can't wait to see more of it. I'm really in love with the imagery and art composition, especially the use of garish red tones during the short past segments involving the MC and that mysterious white-haired girl. Character seem to be stereotypes but they are all likable. No complaints so far.

I loved everything here. It has a psychedelic tone to it, and the art is beautiful (although the characters could look a little bit better in certain scenes). The story is unique so far, I never encountered anything similar before, so definitely Kiznaiver and Joker Game are both the best anime of the season in my opinion. Gosh, I can't wait for the next episode!

The colors were pretty and the OP sounds good. The MC is apathetic and doesn't give a damn for being pummeled by one-dimensional bullies and on top of that he has amnesia. Other characters look like typical archetypes and there is a Kamina look alike as well. I'll continue watching this but for now my expectations are too low for this one.

She pushes him off the stairs and says it was fatal but the pain was shared amongst the charcters and they have no idea what she's talking about.. Then Kamina receives a slap and they all drop to their knees..

And the MC already come off as a drop kick. "I don't feel pain so it's okay for people to beat the shit out of me" Totes relatable. Trigger has better writers than who ever wrote this story -_-

Yep, that OP is pretty good and catchy.

That concept is pretty interesting. For someone who have never felt pain, it will be complicated not to get everyone hurt by his lack of self-awareness. I'm wondering where it will lead though. And what kind of anime it will be.

One other thing : I'm rooting for the red-hair girl ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Looks interesting. Now all that remains to be told is the reason what they've done that for.

Also pretty nice to see an opening by Boom Boom Satellites. Didn't expect that but it explains why the beginning sounded so familiar(even though I had a different band in mind at first. needed to see it written halfway through to realize).

Hah, this. If only she was as interesting as Esdeath.

Not sure how I'm feeling about this one. Probably 4/5 so far? The plot seems interesting, they're not taking it too lightly. The art is amazing, the ost is really great. I loved the OP and whatever song was playing during MC's trippy dream thing in the middle. Problem is, the MC and the blue-haired bitch really rub me the wrong way. MC is more bland than a chicken breast cooked by a white suburban mom, and miss blue-hair is that "mysterious" type that just makes me want to punch her. The other characters are decent enough, but none that are too likeable in my opinion. I think pink-hair dude with the ass-strike is my fave so far.

Not to be a downer, but this entire concept is stupid. Let's walk through this:
- oh you were fatally injured, but because we split the sensation of pain evenly you didn't die. Oh what's that? The physical damage would still be fatal even if you didn't feel it? U-um h-hey look disco balls and mascot characters!

- the pain is split evenly, but everybody reacts as though the pain is being intensified (everybody cringing hard af because one of them pinched her own cheek), which makes that earlier statement even more retarded

- this is literally the pain-equivalent of communism and it's actually more retard than plain old communism. If they implement this on a large or global scale, what if somebody trips and hurts themselves? What if somebody gets killed in a vehicular accident? Does it the pain get so diluted that nobody even feels anything (thus defeating the purpose of the connection)? Or does everybody feel it equally, which would be horrible and pointless?

I thought this sort of nonsense couldn't get worse than when Dimension W visually explained the extra dimension w and it was just the negative x-axis in the xyz plane. But it looks like I was wrong.
