I wouldn't say no BS moments but I guess there weren't plotholes.

Like the graduation episode was one of biggest pieces of BS ever seen in anime. Think about it. They were talking about THEMSELVES as a speech to the WHOLE school. I bet most of the school didn't give a crap about the sakura hall members. Yet somehow the anime portrays the adults as the bad guys. The friendship crap in sakurasou is worse than even the worst friendship crap in the worst chapter of the worst generic battle shounen.

Incorrect Noein and Gankutsuou have no plot holes.
i recently felt like rewatching gankutsuou and when i did i found gaping plot hole and the funny thing is that the show acknowledged it but never explained it. the plot hole was how did the count get so much money. yes they mentioned at one point that many many companies were continually depositing money in his account but they never explained why random companies would be donating tons of money to this guy.
Just because you know how to use a torrent does not give you the god given right to pirate.

That's like the best description of that episode that I ever read.

based on good book that was written by talented writter. not by some non talented average schizophrenical mangaka who lives in his anime fantasy world and sleeping with anime girl shaped pillow with boobs.

There's a few anime based off novels (not shit light novels but actual novels) but the only ones I can think off the top of my head are Shinsekai Yori and Gankutsuou.

edit - Also, Un-Go, Shiki, Uta Koi (kind of), Genji Monogatari Sennenki, Perfect Blue, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Desperate here.

Oh you mean that show that completely derailed Jaime's character and then never mentioned it again.

Quality writing, that scene is equally poorly written in the actual book for completely different reasons too which is even funnier.

Rose of Versailles. I guess it's hard to have plot holes when a lot of it is based on real events (French Revolution). It's a pretty old anime, so it doesn't rely on a lot of modern anime cliches. It does a lot of shoujo-y stuff though.

Dead? Nope, bulletproof vest.
Dead? Nope, whole building collapsed except on character.
Dead? Nope, non-critical knife attack.
Dead? Nope, was a clone.

Damn. That's too much. Even for anime standards.

Derailed Jaime's character? He's been on a path of redemption the last 2 seasons.

It's not difficult, all you have to do is actually hire a good writer instead of mix-and-matching trope cards and shoehorning in as much fanservice as possible - you know, treat your show like the art form it is rather than a not-so-quick buck (you'd think with the effort you have to put into animation as it is they'd take their time and really make a lot of these shows well-crafted).
Anyone who doesn't hate anime hasn't watched enough anime.

Yeah, I'm a pretty huge fan of the series but even I had to chuckle a bit at that. Then again, I don't think anything should be brought up in this thread as pretty much everything is going have something someone doesn't like.

You watched like 40 anime.

Are you sure?

Well I have a life. My life goal isn't to expand my list of anime.
Nonetheless, there are still anime I watched that I have not added.
But yeah, Mr. Expert, do you even know what "stuff" i'm talking about to claim otherwise?
I stand by my statement that it does a lot of things in its own way. When that happens, you don't need to know any anime to realize that certain elements are the authors own work rather than replicated tropes.

If you are so certain, then you should list what things it's done that no anime before it has ever done. That's the way these things roll.

Well, as a fan of a show that does not give a shit about "how things roll", I will do the same!

So, i'll let you list all the tropes hxh has copied from older shows, and tell you why it's different.

That's not how things work around here. You are the one that made the claim, therefore it is your responsibility to back it up. Once you've done that, it will be the other person's responsibility to prove you wrong.

I don't really care if you have a life or not or for the reason for you low number of anime in your list. I'm simply pointing out the ignorance and the fanboyinsim in your post.

It does not matter if I know what you are referring to. It's most definitely have been done before, and your limited knowledge of the medium is not enough to make that bold claim.

Irrelevant to the topic at hand, but I find it funny that you claim to have a life but have 1800+ post in the span of 5 months.

You missed the point of my awesome comeback... That makes me a sad panda.

It's funny though. This whole "burden of proof" argument itself can be twisted.

Like: Who made the claim of "burden of proof" should prove that the rule is as he says. Or: claiming otherwise in an argument/disagreeing is still a claim, so it becomes a paradox.

Back to topic: I'll be nice and say that it does not follow conventions. I'm being vague because I'm basing my argument on my reliance that you know what those conventions are. Otherwise it's not worthwhile.

Luteun, yeah, I post really fast. If you know how to type it's not very time consuming at all. Except for tl;drs. And I still get to do other stuff during. Watching countless anime though...
