| Naomi was so careful and clever, and all of a sudden she's not suspicious anymore ! Even though Kira was acting weird this whole time ! It feels like she's a cold blooded, level headed former FBI agent that turns into a naive high school girl... the death note is stupid What saved this episode however is when Ryuk starts laughing as she gives an alias. Of course he can see through her lie thanks to his shinigami eyes hehe |

| great, Light refused the Eye Deal and at the end it wasn't needed. He gave up and began acting desperate to a dangerous level, but succeeded. And damn, Aizawa almost got into everything at the worst possible moment. "Matsuda, stop being a child" Thank you, Soichiro. |

| Wow it’s been exactly 16 years since the first post on this forum. Anyways, I forgot how incredible this whole sequence was, the episode had me fully invested even though I knew how it would end. |
| Been eons since i last watched it. Light was so excellent with manipulating naomi so much he pushed her in reverse psychology manner. when she was hesitant to join his "task force" "u are so young and cute, maybe this aint for u" "no, I will do it." fell into his trap hook line and sinker when earlier she was apprehensive and wanted to only speak to L Damn he changed immediately from cute boi to psychopath  CHECKMATE BITCH  Even the universe started snowing when she gave her drivers license to stop another policeman from witnessing ahead of time when light wrote into his desu note. REALITY WARPER light demonstrated how he used a lie of knowing task force wasnt there to present doubt and then convince her that "whoops u got me, i am a member of it". He first knew she was apprehensive and untrusting. He posed a excuse to make her trust him more while ensuring she doesnt go back to head quarters. First condition cleared. Then he got her intentions to be with L and how she was a FBI agent, in order to use it against her by emphasising that they need people like her, driving her to action with him. Second condition cleared. And finally he reverse psyched her into making her join task force by making a process up about how she will need to join it, by identity proof, detective recommendation(via light himself) and finally L's recommendation. By making her focus more on detective recommendation she failed to notice the real reason, that is the identity proof by which she would die. All conditions were cleared, and all Light had to do was bide and wait. L lost huge advantage, just like that. |

| And yeah Light was so prideful that he told to naomi, "yeah i am kira" while it worked sooo well here, if naomi gave a fake identity card(not very difficult to make), honestly, Light would have been screwed, but he had awesome coincidence working with him (or another kami with shinikami). And he turned the tides of battle in an instant with a lot of quick thinking. BOOM. |

| The best episode so far. I was hoping she would suspect him and call a double bluff with her name. She did look at him looking at the time the first time she told him her alias. I hope she survives and creates more of a thriller. |

| I remember the first time i have read this scene it was so fucking heartbreaking, i was broken. It really was one of the scenes I remember the most and to rewatch it now... Fucking heartbreaking... |
| Just as I was thankful that she gave Light a fake name, she actually gave him her real identity at the end. How could someone who should've had high trust issues at that time accept the idea of a stranger she had just met at that time to work together, just like that? Maybe she's very desperate and Light looks very convincing, but if her status is just an ordinary citizen, then I'll accept it. However, she is a former FBI agent who is said to have even worked directly for L. Shouldn't a high level of suspicion be at the top for her if she is investigating a case? She could tell Light to give her time to think about it first and ask him to meet again at the police station in a few days. She doesn't need to give her real identity, she doesn't need to give a number either, and she can still confirm it with the police first. Well I'm just very grateful that there is L here who is able to match Light's brain level by providing fake identities for the police, and the belt idea is also very clever. But on the other hand it seems that Light is under suspicion in the next episode... hmm but Light is very smart so he will definitely get around that. I want to see L trick Light again :( because even though I'm annoyed with the two agents who were killed by Light, these two were innocent people who shouldn't have been killed. Light has gone away from the initial idea of wanting to "enforce" justice. Right now I think most of the people Light will kill in the future will be the people who tried to capture him... But okay, seriously, Light is really, really smart. |

| This episode was so good! He was in hot water but he found a way to get her name. Aizawa saw him though, I wonder if that'll ever come back to bite him. I mean I guess maybe he didn't realize he passed by Light (he didn't really get a good look), but still the fact that they were right next to each other is crazy Oh yeah and I guess there is also the fact that they may never find Naomi's body, so it doesn't matter anyways. Problem solved, and loose end tied |

| What a tension-inducing episode.. loved it. I was rewinding scenes :D All through, I kept wondering if Ryuk could see the time of death of Naomi.. all the drama leading upto each person's death must be very entertaining to him. |
| Well I can’t deny the scene where Naomi bit the dust was very well done, big RIP to her, but man, she was smart but not smart enough. I think if her real name was jabber-jaw I wouldn’t have been surprised lol, because good lord this girl was an open book, only thing she was good at hiding was her real name, everything else might as well be on a big ass sign in neon lights, or better yet in Las Vegas on the Sphere lol. For those reasons I’m not very sad about her death, I know to her Light probably did seem trustworthy, and she was very eager to help beat Kira and avenge Raye, but it’s just hard to overlook her yapping tendency, I think maybe it’s a good thing she’s not with the FBI anymore. But once again, RIP, even with her blunders I didn’t want her to die, and this is just another thing to go on the ever growing list of reasons Light deserves a bad end, I really hope this is the author’s intention, showing us so much of Light toying with people and then offing them to make his eventual downfall incredibly satisfying, but there’s a long way to go before seeing if that’s what happens. |

Not only is Episode 7 the absolute best of the entire "Death Note" series, it's probably one of the 5 or 10 greatest episodes in anime history. My jaw dropped at the end there.
