FINALLY SOME FULL FLASHBACKS! ;-; Raito, Kanato & Ayato's mom is kinda a huge "b*tch-chan" -__- Chibi-Shu was so refreshing and cute! ^^ All their childhoods seem so depressing though... when's it gonna be subaru's time to shine?! |

"if you dont succeed you'll go to the bottom of the lake" WOW GREAT PARENT KEEPING HER SON MOTIVATED! finally we get to see why the boys are so fucked up yes! cordelia. i couldnt help but say kaiwaii when i saw the boys chibi versions especially sho and subaru not that much reji tho he kinda looked the same... -_- and i then end we still get some vamp service... I'm actually getting used to the bite noises now so no more cringing yay! also I'm starting to think yui likes getting bitten |

I don't understand why they chose Ayato as the most frequently featured character. Not that the others have much personality as well, but he's the least interesting of them all. Anyway, horrible parenting from the ladies. Not surprising. Of course that thay will blame a woman about how twisted those brothers are. Can't deny that the child versions of the guys were cute, though. More Subaru, please. |

Well, for me, this episode felt really rushed and fast paced that made some scene looked kinda awkward. I mean, Yui would just be flipping through here and there without letting me finish feeling the character's emotions. I didn't enjoy that end scene either. Or maybe I just felt this episode was 'meh' because I'm more tired than usual today... I hope next episode would be better. They should add more Subaru screen time as well! |

Oh wow, they were saner when they were children. Their relationship with their parent was so bland. Subaru's back-story was the only thing which seemed a bit interesting. Great now she is losing personality... What the hell is wrong with these boys, they are so disgusting... I hope Subaru doesn't turn out to be like them, all my hopes lie with him... |

Oh my god. Whoa. Finally a DiaLovers episode that didn't make me wanna flip a table. At least up to the final scene with Ayato and Raito, that is. I am really happy we finally got to see more of the boys' pasts and now I kinda get it why they're so messed up. The chibis were so damn cute I can't even... But I felt really sad for them, especially for Subaru, Ayato and Shuu. Their past still doesn't excuse their actions, tho. I hope we get more backstory in the next episode. And more Subaru screen time. |

I actually liked this episode, I mean... now I understand their behaviour, and I really hate Cordelia, I don't even think that she's beautiful -.- I guess Subaru and Shuu mom's are prettier. I'm kinda sorry for Subaru's mom... She seemed so sad, and Shuu's mom neglects Reiji and only thinks about Shuu, she laves him but doesn't know how too show it, but... I feel sad for Reiji too, he tries so hard to pleases his mom but she never pay atention to him =( The relationship between Raito, Ayato and Kanato seemed great, but I pity Ayato, he couldn't play with his brothers =/ Yui seemes now familiarized with the brothers, and still tries to run away when they want to bite her... I guess she doesn't like it, but if she moves it will hurt more =/ Ayato may have saw what Yui saw... Let's wait for the next episode to discover =D |

This episode was pretty decent. It was nice to see a flashback about those guys and they were really adorable as kids! One thing I didn't like is the end scene. If Raito is going to say Bitch-chan again, I am going to break something. It seems the next episodes has more flashbacsk, I am a bit curious what kind of flashback we'll see. |

She's now been double fangatrated, now we just need to see some good ole gangfang action. Episode was, yet again, uneventful with nothing more than cheap attempts to garner sympathy for the brothers. Hoping the rest of their pasts can make sense of why they became the way they did, I really don't want to believe that all they have under their sleeve is "waaa mommy was so strict! waaaa!" |

They toned down Cordelia. Cordelia (who is Yui's past life) wasn't just strict, but slept with at least two of her sons (Raito was her lover, you know, when he was about 10 or so, and abused of Kanato. Funny how they cut her line "Your singing makes me feel aroused." "What's arousal?" exchange flashback to a mere "lol sing for me" which I always found disturbing and very explicit (or how she locked some in cages and slept with their uncle in front of them). She also drowned Ayato when she didn't do as she said and did horrible things to Subaru's mother, Christa, sexually abused her. She made them look like catholic schoolboys. Raito's perverted streaks are owned to his beloved mom, including his speech about how one has to kill the one they love. That's Cordelia's wisdom. In case of Beatrix, you'll be right. She wasn't a bad woman. Shuu wasn't twisted because of his mom's influence. You saw his fire flashback. Reiji's guilty for his change. Reiji's a jerk because his mother didn't pay him attention. That's all there is and he has an inferiority complex because Shuu is that good. Reiji earned his low popularity by being unsympathetic. Subaru's angst is more "waah my mommy is locked up in a tower and screams in agony for someone to help her every night as my father and my father's first wife take her against her will and wants me to kill her but I'm unable to do anything about it." Subaru loves his mother and wants to help her but he can't do a thing because he's too young and weak to fight Karl (he loses control over his own body too during full moon nights, iirc). He trashes things around and shouts out of sheer bottled up impotence. He's a kind guy underneath the short fuse mask. For example, he stayed away from those sacrificial bride feedings too. He probably finds it sick because that's what his mom was, only that his father became infatuated and obsessed with Christa married her and turned her into a vampire against her consent. Seeing Yui in the Mansion like that, catching the sight of a new one, opened fresh wounds. His frustration, crudeness (because unlike the others, he didn't get fancy mom education) and boiling anger just make him appear worse than he really is. Speaking of Subaru, when will he get a scene? He's barely there. |

Iirc, he was around but he never did anything because he's too apathetic while Subaru simply hid and stayed away. For instance, he tells Yui to cut herself and feed him, because he can't be bothered in his route if that's the attention she craves for. But because of his apathy, anyone can take advantage of the girls (Yui was getting claimed by other brothers until Shuu bothered to stand up). The brides are never a big deal unless it's Kanato or Raito's routes (because they had many). They are zombie-lives succubus vampire slaves in Raito's and in Kanato's they are the wax dolls (with their souls trapped inside). You can presume that whoever ended up with Shuu was killed by Reiji or by someone else. Whoever unlucky soul ended up with Reiji was victim of his experiments. Ayato... I'm not sure. I should replay his route. Shuu and Subaru would have opposite reasons to try to be hands off or annoyed with the girls. Shuu doesn't want to get close to someone, he doesn't want to feel, he's cold and distant like that. While Subaru's passionate about his phobias and he's angry. Reiji would also have his reasons of why he prefers to back off as general rule: he craves for perfection and nothing less than that would do. It always seemed to me the eager ones were Cordelia's triplets. |

Then Subaru walked away from the girls, while Shuu was around but never did anything to the girls (not bite or anything else). In both cases, until Yui arrived to the house. You're right, the triplets look like the most eager. |

I'm sure that some of the girls agreed to cut themselves to get their blood sucked by him. He's not a virgin, so some must have had sex with him too. He wouldn't force them because he's honestly 'dead inside' slob who would rather be left alone in his couch and verbally harass them to leave him alone. He's a person who gets beaten up in school because he can't be bothered to fight or defend himself. Basically whoever stuck with him would have to babysit him until they got killed. Shuu wouldn't have bat an eyelash about their disappearance either. That's why he keeps his distance. Make no mistake though, he is a sadist too. But his unique trauma personality-makes him a passive sadist? So instead of Yui getting the masochism forced out by aggressive sadistic vampire's advances, she's the aggressive masochist who is forcing the sadism out of passive Shuu with her advances after he mocks her and humiliates her verbally when she keeps persisting. There are still tender moments (once Shuu falls for her, he's extremely affectionate), but there are (in middle in particular) their mutual SM love relationship which helps Shuu to recover his attachment to life, since he was escaping pain in general. He's quite a pervert too but in a funny way, for instance, he listens to the moans of women in his ipod which he shares with Yui when she asks and she gets all flustered. He doesn't have a warped idea of love like Kanato or Raito, because he's still sane, but he trolls her with those little moments. Nor he is full of himself or compares himself to other people. He just needed his emotional stability back because he was suicidal in his depression, his lethargic behavior is pretty self destructive. |

He wouldn't turn down sex at all, but yeah, they would need to do all the job. Only after half of his route, he begins to be less passive. Though, mind you he wouldn't jump on sex just because. Yui possessed by Cordelia wants him as her lover and would be husband in Reiji's route and offers herself at him and he ignores her. |

....The episode was surprisingly adorable and fine...until the flashbacks ended. I keep forgetting to mute my headphones at the biting scenes. the just sound so damn disturbing. ._. I was actually hoping it would stay with the flashbacks to explain a bit more.but i guess they really wanna have just that bit or time to torture yui in EVERY episode until the end huh? a lot of you are saying that this showed us how horrible the mother was to them...here. Though, the flashbacks in this episode alone didn't have..I don't know how to explain this. The flashbacks here, in this episode, were not abusive enough to make out the mother, to reflect they way the boys are now. they just weren't good enough reasons to explain their current behavior. yes, the mother gave one of them the mentality of having to be perfect. but maybe if they showed time skips of how it evolved up to currently, because she had to have done something else to them other that JUST telling them that they are worthless. with the way that the guys treat yui currently? has to be don't by something other than telling only a few of them that they have to be perfect or their worthless. I was expecting A LOT more mental abuse(like in the previous episodes with the 5 second flashbacks..except worse). the flashbacks in this episode did not show anything of the sort. These guys, have to have had MENTAL TRAUMA to act they way they do now. I'm just gonna guess that this episode was suppose to show that they had a "decent" childhood at some point. |

Cordelia's abuse was very bad which only affects three of them. Kanato's and Raito's routes in the visual novels are not the "they become cute boys with love" kind. They learn to love Yui but they remain insane. Yui just goes insane too. Ayato... is a middle ground. Shuu doesn't have problems with his mother in particular, his problem is running away from pain in general because of the huge loss he experienced thanks to his brother who burned down all he loved and convinced him it was his fault. Coincidently, he preferred human company. He gave up on life, he's apathetic because he fears attachments and even more he fears to destroy things. The anime did make him ooc because he ignores Yui's existence for half of his route (besides a pervy remark or angry comment because she's annoying him) and she has to push herself on him to get any fang action. Once he gets a little attached or frustrated he does abuses her (but she's willing) which lasts very little since he recovers his sweet personality. Unlike the Cordelia's kids, he tells Yui he loves her in a sane manner, no possessiveness, insanity or to death. He's not psychotic, he's depressed. Reiji is a jerk. I know he has inferiority complex but his sadistic tendencies are far too exaggerated and how he took it out with his mother and his innocent brother, burning down a village because of his jealousy and traumatizing Shuu out spite also nearly him is a little too beyond justification for someone who wasn't abused in a huge way. He also tries to kill Yui in Shuu's route because she's restored his happiness. Screw him. Subaru, as I said early, has the most normal/generic romance I suppose with a dash of trashing things but it looks typical shoujo-esque. |

Just when i thought this show is improving after watching the first half of it, the biting scene just had to ruin it for me. (i kinda wanted ayato to "save" Yui from Raito's bite though) |

By reminding him he can't kill her. |

No they are entitled to be assholes because they are superior beings. If I were some supernatural being that could just dominate humanity Id be treating humans like shit too. Cause for me they would be nothing more than annoying bugs. Thats what people dont get. Do you fret when you step on a bug? Why should a vampire care about some human then? |

Including this part : "You are worthless to me unless you are the best. Worthless boys must spend eternity at the cold, damp, bottom of the lake, all alone where no one can help them."- Cordelia to Ayato Made me sad ,poor Ayato :( |

Episode was, yet again, uneventful with nothing more than cheap attempts to garner sympathy for the brothers. Hoping the rest of their pasts can make sense of why they became the way they did, I really don't want to believe that all they have under their sleeve is "waaa mommy was so strict! waaaa!" They toned down Cordelia. Don't get confused , Cordelia slept with their uncle, Richter and with Laito( age 10) sick way I know . With Kanato just abused him and committed adultery in front of Kanato by having sex with Richter.only slept with Laito one of her sons. |

I really wish this would have been a longer series, and instead of a reverse harem "romance" (?), make it an actual horror show. It legit has some creepy and suspenseful moments. Not to mention the atmosphere, art, and soundtrack are marvelous. I still can't decide if we're supposed to like the guys, or if we're supposed to hate them. |

I thought if they showed their childhoods, they'd at least demonstrate Renji's behaviour and attitude towards Shuu... o.o And with Yui's reactions, she will hardly "end up" with anyone in the anime. In the game, even if not near the end, she at least smiled sometimes (although I suppose no normal person in her stead would). She only makes sad or pained expressions here... Then again, exactly that was bothersome, so I won't complain... |

So their mothers were cruel and so in turn are they. Well, that explains a lot. Then Ayato and Leito tag teamed then double teamed Yui! D: Oh to be her lol. |

Great episode. We get to see some very interesting info from this flashback. Like Reiji's complex of not being the 1st son, how the 1st child has her mother eyes and why Subaru seem to be the most damaged from them 6. I wished for all 3 Cordelia's sons to appear in the underground but Kanato didn't make it.. |
