We all knew the women were going to die when they disrespected the blond vampire. lol

Deffrot is so cute. I wanna poke his cheek.

Are Maeda and Misaki related in some way? I just don't get it.

I don't understand the importance of the reporter girl. And, I also don't like her. Also, it seems she knows Kurusu.

The old man is one of the antagonists, isn't he? The important people from the protagonists' side and the second most powerful person from the antagonists' side are usually the main villains.

Because of everyone, I checked the dubbed episode. I'm sorry, but it made me laugh so hard. Were the actors trying to sound British?

Misaki was Maeda's fiance iirc.

I thought Maeda had never met his fiancée, and that he just knew she existed.

In fact he never met her until he returned back to Tokyo just to find out that she was an abnormal and hopeless vampire - pretty sad, right? I suggest rewatching episode 1, it gives lots of hints about Misaki's identity as Maeda's fiancee and Nakajima's daughter.

Aoi is the only one who seeks the truth (and wants the others to know it as well) in a society in which common people haven't realized they've been living together with vampires for centuries. She also has links with two essential character of the main cast, Defrott and Kurusu (she already stated that he was her "dead" childhood friend twice in episode 2, when we saw him and Yamagami turning into vampires in Siberia; also she did mention his name once to Maeda before)

Watching the dub version with another sub make me a little confusing. But whatever.

So, the other general used Rufus to invited the S-rank vampires. But ended up getting that disturbance without his knowledge, thanks to the Rufus sneaky act again. Still, apparently, the real vampire unit from Maeda's commander has been fully mobilized, lefting Maeda Zero unit in a big confusion at the city. Poor them, disbanded and facing those situation without their leader in contact. Well, thats a chaos for you. But no wavering to the old man. Meanwhile, Colonel Maeda, after disappearing, he enjoyed himself at those little stroll. Looks like he got some information from the blonde boy. Whats exactly that? Okay. Waiting for another week looks fine to me with all of that things goin on....

Oh my god. Now, I feel like I was not paying attention. I recall some flashbacks, but I can't remember much from them.

Good episode! Damn, I wonder what Rufus's game in all of this, he killed his subordinates, those ara ara vampires. I mean they were treating him like trash, but there's definitely other reasons for why he killed them with those potent ascras. Though he might be working with Nakajima.

Did Maeda really collapse just because he was overworking himself? There's probably more to it than just that. Interesting, so Misaki is Nakajima's daughter and he started changing when he got his new position. He was working on those vampire units without anyone else knowing I guess. And as we expected Defrott was the one that turned Misaki into a vampire cause of her accident. Looking forward to the next episode.

This show is like some guy in his mid fifties dressing like a teen and trying to act cool around a bunch of high schoolers, no matter what he does he's still going to look lame.

I didn't expect Nakajima to kill Okima like that. The 'superior' vampire unit are really something else. Curious to see how Maeda will react to that unit.

I feel like I never have the best grasp of what's going on in this show but it is still very interesting. All these different interests are starting to butt heads and it seems it is fucking up the city.

I wonder what Maeda is doing? Overall great episode.

What was the accident you mentioned? There are some things I did not catch or fully understand in the past episodes, so I would be glad if you could help me with this. :)

I thought that Deffrot might be innocent at first, on the other hand I also thought since he is high level vampire, he would not let other vampire to just walk in and turn his colleague. Now we know it was him, but I do not understand why he did it.

A large prop fell on Misaki during an evening rehearsal; as many suspected - since Misaki was an high class vampire - Defrott was the one who turned her into a vampire. Why? Assuming that he didn't orchestrate the whole accident, he tried to save her; and he also saved Aoi by taking with him the Ascra Rufus gave to her. Lastly, he called Rufus out and doesn't want him to turn Tokyo into a hunting ground for vampires. He's still a mystery but he gives me some very neutral vibes, especially when he said "I want to pass my nights in peace". It's up to your interpretation for now. Another thing I noticed is that none of the other S-class vampires (plus Rufus, we don't know his class) fear him at all, which surprised me

Yeah, Defrott shaping up to be the good guy here (I hope he doesn't die).
Still wasn't he in the same play as Misaki? Since it was already established he's some overpowered vampire, why didn't just save Misaki from the accident?
Hopefully we get some more explanation on that, cause as it stands now, it's quite thin.

OT, why this anime is underrated atm?

Nice question, that's why I wouldn't exclude the possibility of Defrott being behind the accident; he also seems to like teasing Maeda, right? But again, it could just be his personality and we don't know anything about the accident - maybe Misaki was rehearsing alone and Defrott found her too late on the floor. The whole ED gives me neutral vibes as well and its title is "On My Own". Can't wait for more info about him! Love how the score is going down each week while I'm liking the show more and more every time lmao

@zVergil Thanks for explaining. I forgot they mentioned the prop falling on her. In that case, it is clear that he tried to save Misaki by giving her his blood. I was not sure about him, but considering how he is portrayed in the ending song, I thought he might be a good guy after all.

I just watched the episode today, so I was spared the English dub. Even when a dub is good it's still a dub, so I always avoid them (in both anime and live action). Nakajima shooting that minister(?) was the greatest surprise of the show so far. I wonder how he is going to deal with or cover that up.. Is he planning a full blown coup using those armored (and seemingly daylight functioning) vampires, all in the name of his "ideal"?

Nakajima was also not surprised to hear the S-class vampires were dead. Since his own vampires (either the four we know or the armored ones) were highly unlikely to manage to kill them, and since Rufus knew about the "General" and his "finished product", it was clear that Nakajima and Rufus were working together all along.. Perhaps it was Nakajima who came up with the idea of Ascra so that more vampires are created and his "ideal" of a vampire combat unit (or even an entire army next?) can materialize..

Idealists (of any ideal) in position of power can be very dangerous, which suggests that Nakajima will probably turn out to be the main villain of the show.. I predict that the four leads, along with the Colonel, will team up with Deffrot to stop his mad plans.

Got the feeling Nakajima will end up as an enemy seeing how his vampire unit seems sinister and him unexpectedly shooting down Okimura (although he was also suspicious for having talked with the blond vampire Rufus).

So they show cased the British vamps that were working with the one military guy but all the new ones died to? The two previously introduced one part of the same group? Or these new kill zone fallout looking army vamps?
