Was that mere filler after all? Yes that whole thing as filler but Utakata is a character of the real story also since his a tailed beast. Narutro unlike Bleach connects the fillers with the story making them part of it in some way. The filler had an ending but you obviously didn't noticed. That secret techinque was lost and is no longer in the girl Utakata accepted to be her master and Naruto left them all happy and good to go back to Konoha. | Poor Naruto., :\ I was wondering when they were going to tell him about Jiraiya. But Now the show is about to get better than ever., Naruto is gonna want to go after Akatsuki, and Sasuke is going after the Hidden Leaf Village. Im excited for this. ^_^ |

I know they have to bring people back up to speed, but a bit too much recap for my taste. Other than that it was just a sad episode, having to realize that Jiraiya won't be in the show anymore. |

| So many amazing characters lost along the way in this series... :| Guess it's what makes "Naruto" so great, but it is really sad... As this episode was. I can't imagine how hurt Tsunade must be as well, though, especially since she probably feels like she's partly responsible for Jiraiya's death by not doing more to stop him when she seemed to honestly feel that he was going to his death when he left. At the same time... I don't think she could have stopped him... Augh Naruto's just a bit insensitive when he himself gets shaken up, angry, or sad, isn't he? At least this episode shows that he really did look up to and really care for Jiraiya. :'( |

| I'm outraged! Filler before this episode? I feel like it hasn't had the emotional effect it would have had if this episode wasn't preceded by filler. I was so expectant of narutos reaction to the news and they delayed everything with that 10 episode arc about a bubble blower... pls, what were the screenwritters thinking. |

| from some reason i found the impact of naruto being told that jiraya had dead is kinda emotionless. sasuke and his stupid ideology can go to trash, i get that he want to avenge itachi and kill the elders, but to massacre the entire village? it just feeling that all his "avenge" feeling is mixed up in him since all his avenging itachi thing was wrong. |
| Welp Sasuke is hellbent on destroying Konoha. Naruto gets the bad news. Made me tear up a bit :'( Pain autopsy begins. Shikamaru's a real one. Dude cares a lot more for Naruto than Sasuke ever did. He's a better friend to him than 'Sasgay'. |

| Why can't Sasuke die at the end of this anime? That would be very satisfying to me. His stupid logic about killing the villagers...wtf! His revenge journey has gone drawn out already. It pisses me off. There's a lack of emotions in Naruto's reaction to Jiraiya's death. I expected more from that. |
