| Back to the canonical content and it shows! I'm still unsure where they got the current log pose, but apart from that this was a strong start. We got an immediate characterizing moment where Robbin did that amazing deduction from the skull they retrieved. This is the kinda moment you want much sooner than we got it. That said, the crew still seems a little too oddly trusting in her for my taste. I hope we get some development between her and the rest of the crew soon. Not only was that one skull pierced, but so was the photo of the woman in the ship and and skeleton inside the same room. This appears to be a recurrent theme. New concept for this adventure of somehow finding their way to an island in the sky is exciting. It's already gotten us some good moments. Sanji smoking in his scuba gear and Masira's introduction are some examples. I think the filler in One Piece struggles to understand how to introduce new characters like this. Some have attempted to make weird characters like the sales con man in the recent Nami filler ep, but the reason why these characters like Masira, or Bon Clay work is because they have much more going for them than being weird. Masira has shown himself to be a bit of a monkey fan who loves when people tell him he looks like a monkey sure, but more than that he's shown himself to be a strong, courageous dude who cares about his people. Weird isn't enough, Oda takes weird at a first glance and gives the characters depth as we get to know them. This isn't an easy thing to do! Masira's whole crew is pretty adorable and wholesome too, all of them jump around like monkeys. There's some familiar faces in next episodes preview! |

Still getting used to Robin tho man idk,guess within time innit,every character has a fun factor about them,man you know Robin seems like the brain of the group you know what I mean? I guess we need that. |

| Nico getting that much info from that skull was very interesting and I also really liked the part where Sanji looked at the lady's punctured picture and the skeleton over there then putting two and two together in silence. That big monkey and his salvage crew aren't bad people in particular and that's a good thing. That colossal turtle devouring that gigantic ship whole on the other hand, was a very unlucky occurrence. I wonder if it has something to do with entering Skypeia though. |

| I don’t mind the filers but it’s so good to get back to the main saga. You can just feel the quality increase. The monkey dude was really funny though. I feel like Robin going to be the historian of the crew. She definitely the smartest. |
| So now we are dealing with an actual island in the sky as the next plot line for One Piece. Are you sure the Straw Hats aren’t going to Angel Island to see Knuckles? XD I kid of course, it’s a pretty cool concept I’m not gonna lie and I really do wonder how in god’s name they are going to do this. Not just find the island but reach it as well. We are introduced to Masira the salvager and he was pretty funny and apparently had a lot with Luffy in fact a lot of the episode as a whole I swear was funny and I was laughing so hard during this episode not just from what was happening onscreen but just in general for me. Even Nico Robin got to decipher what that skull was once it was brought up aboard The Going Merry. On the whole I’d say this is a great start to the Jaya and I’m just getting hyped about what Skypiea will be like. Again great start, great start there. |
