| I'm really liking the character focused episodes |
| Didn't Zoro have 100k a couple episodes ago... I could genuinely see Sanji losing on purpose because his opponent was a woman xD |

| If last episode was filler it was some good filler. It linked Usopp to his dad, giving us information about Yasopp as well as filling in some of Usopp's resolve and mission. It wasn't perfect but it was good. And if this is filler which I really think there's no way it's not, this was awful filler. The only new content that matters was how Luffy got separated from the crew and ended up at the execution platform setting up to what should have happened episodes ago in the most contrived way possible. Thanks wind. This episode was purely one note, one off characters being boring and to never be seen again probably(which goes against one of the parts of One Piece which makes it so good, the storytelling and humanization of everyone giving everyone a real role in the world) and rehashing Sanji's mission... and some looney tune antics with another scene where Buggy and Luffy are right under each others noses without seeing each other, and Carmen and her henchmen even moving like looney tune characters. Definitely the worst episode yet. Luckily Fillertown seems to be moving towards the canonical Loguetown again. And I am just assuming this is filler as everything points to it, but like, if it's not I'm even more shocked. |
| Even if this is essentially filler like the last episode because of how it detours from their advancement to Grand Line, I still liked how they put some focus on developing Sanji as a character in this episode by showing how determined he can be to achieve his childhood dream that had awakened when he saw the miracle fish of South Blue right at the East. Carmen's quite the eccentric but she does put up quite the show. Sanji's chill and succinct expert cooking's way more satisfying to watch for me though. |

| That was cool. She was actually from the same ship Sanji used to be. However Carmen's hair is so cool. But more amazing thing is All blue is near. Sanji's dream is coming true. Sanji may not be a pervert but the guy is totally falls in love with any woman easily. However the kick was awesome. I don't know why people hate Usopp. He is so handy and also deserving to be in the Strawhat crew. |

| Lol, Carmen-san is goofy. Apparently, she knew Sanji since they were kids. Damn, looks like the All Blue really exists. And that bluefin in East Blue is proof of that. Sanji won the competition. Buggy & his crew, Cap. Smoker and the mysterious female pirate are closing in on Luffy. |

| I love when Sanji goes fight mode, but his flirtying is just over the top every time guy chill down xD Also the cooking competition felt rather pointless? I mean we already knew how important it his for him to find the palace. I think every crew member had his moment now, so now the actual fights can finally begin? |

| LOL, how Carmen holds the big spoon in her mouth. Sanji's passion for food and ingredients is just so much fun to me. I absolutely loved this episode. |

| So this arc is basically just about the crew showing off how good they are at their respective skills? Still love it though. |
| Some people think that the filler episodes are not necessary in One Piece but I dunno, I'd say this episode and the previous one about Ussop, are giving us some development for them as characters but also to showcase what they can do which was mainly to show off his knowledge and expertise on cooking in general. They really did make the contest a lot of fun as well even pitting Sanji against a flamboyant but fun character as his opponent in the form of Carmen. Even making it emotional at the end. We will definitely be focusing on Luffy again if the stinger is anything to go by. Otherwise this was a fun episode for me personally. |
