| Damn, Zoro is badass |

Luffy's bounty scared the crap out of all of them, which is why Mr. 8 was trying to deceive them rather than take them through force. I'm sure they've cleared out many wannabe pirates. |
| I like that bird-thing that the blue-haired lady was riding. Reminds me of Chocobos from FF. Zoro's fight was pretty cool. Still not sure how his cursed sword acts in battle, though... I hope we get more insight into that in the future. |

| Every fight in this anime almost makes me regret starting the anime before the manga, I'm so conflicted as what to do... |

From the scene above, to him mocking the bounty hunters on multiple occasions and even bullying the one on the ladder, to the scene where he snuck up on Igarappoi threatened his life and asked if only one grave will be good enough, this episode showed how freaking gar Zoro can be, as if we didn't know already. The one thing I did find quite questionable was the fact that in this nest of bounty hunters not one recognized pirate hunter Zoro, being a former famous bounty hunter himself. "Aren't those titles meaningless when it comes to fighting? The stronger one wins and that's that", is a line alike the line he said about the weight of the sword mattering that shows his character quite well. Also one last point, I'm pretty sure Ms.Wednesday referred to Zoro as Mr.Bushido. I've recently made the connection myself that Zoro feels like his gar and manliness comes from a conception of the Bushido Way. In the Hagakure it states a samurai should devote their life to their master, Luffy in this case, never stop practicing and striving to be their best, like his ambition to be a master swordsman. There is even a line where it states "Even if it seems certain you will lose, retaliate. Neither wisdom nor technique has a place in this. A real man doesn’t think of victory or defeat, he simply plunges recklessly towards an irrational death.", which reflects him well especially in a fight such as the Mihawk one, as well another that states "Even if there are a thousand men your plan should be to strike them all down and you will achieve the greater part of it.", this one perhaps a bit more paraphrased but very directly related to this episode itself. My point is his character feels different but very rooted in the Bushido Way, so hearing someone in the anime make that connection is interesting. |
| It was amazing of Zoro to cut down all of them alone. It's only fair that they get slashed by his swords in exchange for all the lives they took and memorialized in Cactus Rock. Miss Wednesday was actually Alabastan Royalty and that weird weapon guy was her bodyguard all along. |

| Nothing to see here, just Zoro being a total badass and destroying everyone. So Igaram is a squad captain from Alabasta then? And the princess? Looks like I have to wait and see what Alabasta looks like in the next couple of arcs. Looks like it wasn't Zoro that tricked the bounty hunters into thinking he was asleep, but Nami as well, sneaky as usual, I guess she can hold her liquor quite well then? |

| This episode is very Zorro-centric and I love it immensely! Seriously this episode was just a showcase of Zorro's abilities altogether and it shows that he can definitely carry an entire episode all on his lonesome. Such a badass and he took out the whole town in one fell swoop. And we even got a revelation at the end, turns out Mr 8 and Miss Wednesday are not who they say they are, Miss Wednesday in particular is a princess called Vivi from a kingdom known as Alabasta and Mr 8 being her personal bodyguard Ingagram. And it looks like the leader of Baroque Works wasted no time getting some heavy guns so to speak to find her and kill her. Solid episode for Zorro as a character and a solid episode overall for me. |
