Hmm, what's with that lonely girl?

Lol, Tomoyo and her 528 hit combo is dangerous.
Hmm, Kotomi's interesting. I wish we could learn more about her soon.
Lol, Kyou is bi!
Aww, that girl with an injured hand is pretty cute, especially when she dribbled before she did a high five.

We find out more about Okazaki and his daddy issues.
Oh, he wants to play basketball, but he has right arm problems.
Oh no, Nagisa fainted after waiting in the rain.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

Omg the bi classroom scene was hilarious LMAO & Tomoyo getting those 528 hits on Youhei haha omg pure win! Looks like he'll never learn. :P

Fuko is adorable, when she was reenacting the basketball dribbling and shooting I was like omg she could not be any cuter.

And Nagisa is just stealing my heart completely so far she is adorable, but at the end when Tomoya said he couldn't play basketball anymore cause of a fight in the past with his father that injured his shoulder and then Nagisa feeling like she's causing trouble then she fainted that was so sad. :( Tomoya has a really interesting past that I want to know more about...especially since every time he sees his father the way he reacts and runs off. :(

Liking this a bit more now. Just had to get used to the characters I guess. I hope Tomoya and his dad get closer, it's kinda sad.

I have a feeling that this might bore and confuse very young kids. I hope this show does not disappoint.

Good episode. Pacing is still over the top but at least they managed tell comprehensive story this time.
Kyou the best grill! But even Kotomi's introduction wasn't half-bad. Guess they will do some more introduction before delve deep.

Still, they are changing thing about Nagisa. I'm not so sure about this super-speed pace of her route. The scene with basket ball should be result of their long knowing each other yet so far they cutted at least three important scene that shape her character. Let's hope they just put them away for later use.
And I'm also baffled about how they changed what happened. But.. it wasn't bad I guess, it still worked.

Why the hell is this so dramatic? "I can't raise my right arm." So both characters fall out for no reason? What in the actual fuck? At least the soundtrack is decent, and the voice actor of the MC friend is the same as Yamizaki from welcome to the NHK.

The fact that there are 3 female characters with purple hair is probably gonna confuse me. Also, what is up with all these high school aged girls acting like they're kids?

I actually love this anime so far. I found it really touching how Furukawa waited so patiently for Okazaki in the rain, she's such a sweet girl.
The story about Okazakis injury made me really sad.. his whole life seems so tragic. Time to binge-watch the rest of this anime :3

Wow, I was a sophomore in high school when I posted this...
So far I'm getting the same amount of enjoyment from this show that I had back then, plus nostalgia, lol. It's interesting looking back at this show and the years gone by and seeing how I was in both Tomoya's and Youhei's shoes at times back when I first saw this show. Man, how times fly and change.

I don't have no idea why Tomoya's father became an alcoholic after his wife died. Not that I don't blame him for being a widower, but he and Tomoya were always fighting at home. And "Dango Daikazoku" is like the saddest ending theme of the series. Well, glad he had Nagisa's eccentric family, the Furukawas, take him in to find a place for him to stay.

Well, now we know the reason why Okazaki does not really like clubs. At first I thought his reaction towards his dad was a bit too much, but wow... Breaking his arm and dislocating his sons shoulder like that is just wrong. I feel sorry for Okazaki that he can't play basketbal anymore.

Furukawa is a sweet girl and I hope she is okay after fainting like that. Fortunately, Okazaki is with her!

No opening and no ending, oh well. Seems like quite the harem is getting formed, that's a surprise. So, he got in a fight with his father and thus injured his hand, and thus cannot play basketball anymore. Ouch.

Ep. 2 and Sunohara started pissing me off. Not a good sign... wonder if he has his own backstory or will be your typical "comic relief" kind of character.

On the other hand, I'm actually surprised with how "likeable" Tomoya's character is.

Already the second episode, still nobody talked or acknowledge Nagisa except for the main protagonist and her family. So she's most probably the ghost girl.

This reminds me of a movie with similar premise, Secret made by Jay Chou. I recommend everyone to watch it, its also a school romance mystery film and its pretty good imo

So many names to remember lol. Kyou is bi! Sunohara keeps challenging Tomoyo even tho he always gets his butt kicked. Okazaki doesn't tell Nagisa he can't play basketball for some reason. He helps her with the theater club and now I know why the ED song is The Big Dango Family.

First chuckle of the series with the dust chute scene. Nothing else, I don't "get it", all I see is a harem of tall toddlers, same way I felt watching Kanon. Is this series ever going to have a "hook" episode, or am I stuck watching something I won't like to the end? Maybe there is a hook, maybe MAL affinity scores aren't lying to me.

The pacing was a lot better this episode, though I still found a few of the scene transitions to feel a bit disjointed. I'm also still not a fan of Sunohara - he just seems to be antagonistic without reason. I'm hoping he'll eventually serve a greater purpose in the story than being the butt of a joke every episode.
We got introduced to two more girls who seem to be even quirkier than the ones we've met so far. These scenes where Tomoya inexplicably meets the characters alone in a classroom very much feel like a VN trope that translates a bit awkwardly in adaptations. With the set up of Nagisa trying to rebuild the theater club, I'm hoping that will lead to more natural group interactions in the future.
Speaking of Nagisa, I don't know if I buy into the explanation of her weird monologues being line recitals; there's definitely something weird going on with her. If I didn't know better, I'd think that the ghost the students at school have been talking about is actually Nagisa. After all, I don't think we've actually seen any of the other students interact with or even acknowledge her up to this point... but the scene where Tomoya meets her parents seems to shut down that theory. And the fact that we've only seen her interacting with Tomoya at school could very well be a byproduct of the same VN trope I mentioned before.
At first, I was going to be critical of Tomoya for not being more receptive of his father's attempts to make amends, but that ending scene revealed a much greater justification to be harboring a grudge. The show has definitely been nailing the emotional impact of these dramatic scenes. And it looks like Nagisa may not have fully recovered from the illness that held her back a year. So... we've got many more emotional gut punches to look forward to.
And totally off topic, but I just wanted to mention that I really love the repeated gag of Kyou throwing something out the window and seeing it arc away into the distance. Also, if she's not allowed to ride her scooter to school, where exactly has she been parking it when she arrives? Yet another mystery to ponder.
