| I think Brynhildr is an anime for a more niche audience. If you find yourself entertained by the fanservice,serious-face comedy and like the characters enough so that you'll care about what happens to them then you're probably part of that audience. It's a strange combination really...It has parts where you shouldn't take it seriously and parts where you should. Quotes like "I saved their friendship by showing a guy my boobs." add to this show's enjoymen because I'm sure it's intentional and thing is,it's working for some of us. Brynhildr is working a bit more as a comedy for me than anything else but I like the characters enough that I care about what happens to them. A strange little show indeed that most likely gives people trouble when adjusting their expectations. I wouldn't complain about it being rated as 7.5(I'm enjoying it quite a lot and I'll probably give it an 8) but the fact that Black Bullet & Date a Live 2 are rated higher is a bit annoying. Still,it's not that much of a difference... |

It's kinda sad though, the show wouldn't even be that bad if it weren't for 75% of it being fanservice/harem. | I rated some the new animes this year quite high. Well, you could say I'm hyped up. But I enjoyed this show(even if I'm not reading it's manga) and I think the concept and the intensity of GnB can't be found in MOST animes. Really depends on your tastes..if you want animes which are happy go lucky or more on romance or 'straight to the point' plots without backstories or fast paced this isn't for you(i think this is the reason why it's underrated,people not in the right place).. My comments, uhm... The fanservice is just a small matter so i don't really mind..i admit that i watched EL and twas' good..but found similarities w/ GnB..some scenes includes 'complex details? but easily understood(unlike others that requires 5 min explanations...which makes @_@). what i liked is the story and unexpected twist...and the instant death situation. |

| Didn't I say IN GENERAL, besides I don't see how I would hurt someone by saying girls and boys like different things? I think it's more normal for a girls to not like violence, gore and fanservice like in this show or EL.Isn't it normal for girls liking flowers and boys liking weapons for example? | The rating is already too high for this series. The latest episode was quite rushed and every single episode has an overwhelming amount of fanservice. Judging by how it's going, AO ending is very likely. Combine that with the amount of BS Arms do, well, there you have it. |

| This thread took a dark turn. I think the biggest turn off for this show is jarring shifts in tone that occur even within the same episodes and the fact that this won't be anywhere near a complete adaptation (though how many anime really are?), so we won't get to find anything out. |

Another case of the concept itself being really interesting, but it derailed soon after it started and never got back on track.
