Ok, so Jin-Woo finally got the Elixir so all plot elements and tension are done, since there is no real objective for him now. This information of "the ratio of success depends on the intelligence of the player" is useless, considering Jin-Woo's stats must be in the hundreds by now; especially considering that Jin-Woo gets SIX ELIXIRS OF LIFE afterwards, that's six you can heal of any disease and harm. My dude has a dragon now, I can imagine Gigachad Sigmalord going on his dragon, all chaddified, with slobbering waifus and all of his shades fighting below and oneshotting everything despite having less than half of Jin-Woo's power, that sounds lame. Well, now he has a teleportation skill, because our obscenely OP protagonist also needed that of course, and he got the Demon King's shade as a dragon, Demon Lady will probably DISAPPEAR, having accomplished her purpose as an addon. Who in the fuck can defeat this dude unless hes abundantly nerfed or some deus ex machina shit happens? From Beast Guy and his friend, we get some more meandering conversations, and finally Jin-Woo is going to give his mother the Elixir of Life... he's nervous for some fucking reason. BTW, my man is not only chaddified, but his entire lineage is composed by Stacys and Chads, look at his mom, father and sister, lol. We are exposed to a brief scene where a scientist is surprised at Gigachad Sigmalord's Mom recovering from her sickness, but I'm really amazed that this... isnt questioned more???? Like a patient got cured from an incurable disease all of a sudden, why not direct tests on her, ask her questions or anything to further investigate about this condition??? This anime's structure is so weak, the emotional scene doesnt work and the battles dont work either. This raison d'etre for Jin-Woo (his mom) is built in a weak way, I'm aware that actions most times mean more than words, but was it so hard to replace some of the idiotic bullshit power fantasy stuff or dumb unnecessary dialogue for more thoughts or dialogue of Jin-Woo with his mother? Or some flashbacks? We get an ATOM of a flashback just as Jin-Woo remembers the cause of her burn in her neck, but thats the only thing that pops up to build this relationship; maybe someone knows her, or expresses her emotions at Jin-Woo's mom being hospitalized for a lethal disease (I do wonder how everyone will react upon seeing her after MONTHS or presencing how a patient of this seemingly incurable disease got healthy again lol). This man, who was alleged to be losing his humanity (where did that went lol) in both S1 and early-mid S2 is crying rivers because of his mom being healthy again; of course, that is perfectly reasonable for a normal person, but not for this dude who was "GAZING AT DA ABYSSSSSSSS" or who "WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU FELT FEARRRRRRR" or "FIGHTING AGAINST MUH INNER DEEEEMONSSSS" like it completely undermines this "inner darkness" or "losing humanity" plot point, as this sequence shows that this never mattered at all and it went nowhere, a waste of time. Imagine if, his reaction at seeing her healthy again, was numb and he expressed a lot of impotence and inner struggles at this reaction, leading him to make less use of his skills and focus on other stuff, that'd been more interesting I believe and wouldnt be such an anticlimactic ending, the objective would then metamorphise and give Jin-Woo's character, it'd be another layer of interest, AND it'd lead this "losing humanity" dumb plot somewhere. Everything else is just a shallow buildup for budget Chimera Ant arc or meaningless character interactions. I am ROFLING at the USA hunter who is, quite literally, a dude with a hawaiian shirt, sunglasses and long blonde hair; this couldn't be more any more archetypical even if the author tried, give him a fucking cheeseburger and a confederate flag too. Budget Netero guides Gigachad Sigmalord thru the S-class gymnasium where they are training (I've been informed this scene serves no purpose whatsoever) and Baek is containing his strength, wizard S-class guy (I cant remember names lol) says that he cant go full-power since he becomes a real monster when he does so... I'll translate that: "He wont go into full power, because we need to reserve that scene for later in the season to recatch hype, so everyone can spam AURA FARMING and HYPEEEE EPISODE on the MAL forums." Also it's really funny to see these NPCs with forgettable designs walking in like they're la creme de la creme, knowing this show's nationalism I predict that Japan's hunters are going to be painted in a more shitty light while Korea is victimized and Gigachad Sigmalord has to be the paternal ideal korean man and save everyone. Gigachad Sigmalord on the same space as Gigastacy Sigmalord, something will go down. I bet: The Koreans will be easily defeated and Jin-Woo will just carry everyone. 2/5 |

And no not deus ex machina enemies but actual enemies that will be even stronger than him. Btw you forgot to mention that his teleport has a disadvantage on purpose. So it’s even more apparent that you are trying to add problems that aren’t there for you to complain about him being OP other than seeing what the episode tried to convey in first place. @Confused_100 Plot elements? Like edgy dark bullshit, built upon feeble scenes, that goes nowhere? Or a poorly-built climax? Or his mom getting healthy again, a case that no-one investigates immediately despite being such a scientific anomaly? Or the Sung family's bland relationship? Are you kidding me? I can't wait for Jin-Woo to get """challenged""" again only for it to be the most boring battle ever and it to end in the most anticlimactic way possible. It happened with the sloppy monster of the week Baran and it will happen again. This is called vertical progression and, when used in such an obscene way like this show does, it can only turn into pure and vain slop like Solo Leveling, as this show's power system and combats are plain and bland, mere power checks, thus no progress can be done unless the author and his entire world built around Jin-Woo glazes him. I'm not adding any problems, they've been here since the beginning. The disadvantage in question: He needs to replace a shade with himself and it has a three hour cooldown. Such disadvantages holy shit!!!!!!!! (Jin-Woo can summon a trillion shades and he can run at mach light speed and he has a FUCKING DRAGON now plus mana potions so this restriction doesnt even matter at all). |

A bit of a slow episode this one. Jinwoo manages to create the Elixir of Life and uses it to heal her mother. The preparations for the 4th raid on Jeju Island continues and Jinwoo is being asked to join in. |

I believe that this anime was as always rushed. What I mean by "Rushed" is the fact that episode feels like it should be to parts or even three; the pacing is just so quick. However, even with this large flaw I still see every episode as an exhilarating adventure. Disclaimer I did read the Manhwa a while ago, but never finished it because life got too busy, so I vaguely remember what happens were, so my pacing claim might be unjust. |

The animation was quite good as well as the soundtrack during the moment of greatest emotional weight, the only thing that would have been perfect was a little more time since it was the initial and main motivation that Jinwoo had to climb each level and his reward for that laborious effort with a little more time would have been great. But in general, a very good chapter with a good rhythm in the change of environments. |

Bruh, when did that ever happen lol? I will give you the mom thing because that actually was cut from the manhwa for some reason here so congrats that’s an anime thing not an author thing. “Sung family’s bland relationship”… You do know that’s subjective because you seeing it bland doesn’t make it bland, I see it as acceptable unlike actual popular animes with bland friendships or relationships in it, but whatever. And this is where you lost me, Baran ended in anticlimactic way? Bruh it was realistic to the system built in the world guess why? They are fighting with swords and cutting eachothers organs, Either Sung jinwoo would have died to the blast of Baran or Esil distracted him enough for Sung Jinwoo to take advantage to land an all out attack. Anti climactic? Go read a book and understand what slop means atp. Imagine an anime called “Solo leveling” revolves around the MC… It’s either your hate is that bad or you never understood the main theme of the series. Like I get it, you want it to be like any other series where the side characters need to be as relevant, but guess what? This series’s goal is defined and doesn’t lose sight of its identity unlike those series. Now take your hate out of here, because I have seen enough of your bad takes already. Go try to do that with a series that deserves it other than a series where everybody already knows the problems of and accepts it and loves it for what it is. Btw a powerup with limitation of “You can’t be everywhere at once” is bad to you while trying to say his other power ups should have limitations of no examples… A word of advice? If you want to criticise, you need to give the example you are referring to other than spewing random things hoping something will land |

Good thing you brought 86 up, since in that show, whenever something happens that merits an insert song, they masterfully build up to it and craft the scene in a way that it indisputably becomes a climax of the story. They also mind the scenes after it, if there are any, as to not take away from the impact it's supposed to have. But here, this direction or storyboard was so mid, I actually feel pity for the story now, getting wasted like that. What should've been a turning point, an arc ending piece of art, since, you know, he accomplished the main goal he was set to have, ends up being drowned out and diluted by the scenes after it. |

Nice seeing Jinwoo show more emotion when getting his mother cured. He's been overly stiffly unemotional for quite a while. |

You action geeks can get out of here this was easily the best episode of the show this episode showed the results of 2 seasons of fighting and man the scene of seeing Jinwoo's mother wake up and her interaction with him and his sister was beautiful I cried just as much as he did. I havent had such a investment in a story like this since Tokyo ghouls manga. But to look ahead im curious what the shows purpose will be now. Because if it just turns into Jinwoo levelling up and wanting to get stronger then this show will dull incredibly quick. Sure some people can accept that but I need a purpose in the show moving forward. But I imagine their will be I have faith in this show. Im not entirely convinced everything will be okay in Jinwoo's family I feel very uneasy like something bad may happen cause there was a very uneasy tone in this episode after she woke up. Amazing episode this was. Jinwoo got a dragon too |

Poor Esil.... It's so satisfying to see all of Jinwoo's hardwork finally rewarded. Seeing his mother wake up such great emotional scenes. Finally SL has quility writing for a scene and good artystle to match it. Last 2 episodes were by far best of the series. |

All of Jinwoo's efforts have finally paid off. He was able to acquire the elixir that he needed, which transitioned to him at the hospital where he used it on his mother. The whole scene itself, where she was finally healed from the disease and woke up to greet her son was powerful and emotional. The insert song playing during this scene was also excellent as well. =) While having his mother back to full health is great, the preparations for the Jeju Island raid are underway, where we will see a 4v4 sparing match between the S-Rank hunters of Korea and Japan. I was expecting Jinwoo to take part here, but surprisingly, he isn't. It'll be interesting to see what skills and abilities the Japanese S-Rank hunters have at their disposal. Not only that, but we did get a teaser of one hunter from the USA whose strength is on a whole other level. I do wonder when we'll see him in person soon? |

Was like 89.5% sure that Jinwoo would NOT end up giving his mother the heal-all serum for whatever reason. Maybe the crafting would have failed, maybe there would be a secret other ingredient he would need, maybe a catch to using the potion, maybe someone else would have needed it, maybe Jinwoo decided to save it for a rainy day, maybe it just would've not worked at all. But no, the mom is all good now, fully alive and well, and Jinwoo has achieved his sole objective. Now what? Now it seems, we're touching back on a plot point that was introduced in season 1, when Jinwoo fought that psycho who he got his stealth ability from, forgot his name. Ig it was also kind of introduced when he made his first kill- six at the same time at that. And that is... does becoming a hunter, make you less human? Or to become a hunter, you have to be something of an animal, hungry for a fight, something sub-human? Whatever it is, Jinwoo is at the focus here of course; and it looks like he almost more than readily agrees to get back into the fight even though he has accomplished the one thing he had to do, saving his mother. But now, he is kind of itching for more of a fight, and he says it himself that going to Jeju island will be too good an opportunity of levelling up to pass up. Yes Jinwoo is an absolute beast... but slowly but surely, is he going to be losing his humanity?? Ok it's probably not that deep, and from here on out it's purely just action and spectacle and Jinwoo solo'ing every boss in the universe no-to-low diff. But if his loss of humanity DOES become a prominent aspect to the story, then for this episode I would've like to see slightly more slow and gradual pacing. This is an important part after all, essentially bringing his mom back from the dead. I think more time should've been spent with them together as a family, before eventually bringing Jinwoo back to the fight; maybe seeing him more at conflict with himself of deciding to continue or not now that he has gotten what he wanted all this time. But no it's just more like: mom back, now let's do some sparring heck yeah. Yes ik the writing is not exactly a work of art, and that pacing has always been brisk and snappy, which is of course desirable for a lot of people. Everyone wants to get to Jeju island, I get it. I just wish the story aspect was a bit stronger to match all the aura-leveling; but maybe that's too much to ask from a show like this. Think imma start reading the manwha now, am very curious now to see how close the adaption is to it. Plus I don't really wanna wait anymore to see what happens next lol |

All I came here to say was the hospital scene was amazing. Great music, great visuals, and very emotional. Seeing Jin Woo cry tears of joy after being able to cure his mom after 4 years of her being in a comatose state was really heartwarming and I am happy that all of his hard work has finally paid off! Just as the title of the episode says, it was all worth it!!!!! The scene of them cleaning together as a family was also really cute and wholesome!!! Overall, such a great episode!!! |

lowkey kinda boring episode nothing special happend. but next episode seems to be intresting. Just typical filer
@lovetoaltgirls No? A filler episode is void of any type of main story progress. Jinwoo's main goal, since the very first second of the entire show, was to get treatment for his mother. He reached that goal in this episode. How is that possibly a filler episode? Just because YOU find it boring and don't care doesn't change the episode's content and its meaning. We also got snippets of a future important character, got more info on Jinwoo's dad (who is an important piece of the main story in case you haven't noticed from his very obvious entrance), and got to see more of a major side-character (as major as they can be in this show) directly tied to one of the biggest arcs of the show. Just because there wasn't action, doesn't automatically make it a filler episode, even if the action is the only reason you're watching. |

Jinwoo got a dragon too

@Phantom_Siren652 I mean be open minded, i feel like the show didnt give a chance for audeince to give a flying ass for his mom let all alone feel emotional about it. All we see was him beat the crap out of every enemies and boom, he attained the elixer. IDK it didnt resonate with me, yes it sad but i feel like he didnt struggle to get there i guess or lack of build up to this moment i guess. IDK im not hating on it but i feel like they put so much on just mc being cool that the people around him makes me go zzz whenever they focus on them. idk something feels off maybe im not focusing but errr i think my mindset needs to change in order to watch this show i guess |

That mother waking up scene was portrayed so weirdly... It didn't feel as impactful because I was half expecting her being awake to be a fake out. They should have shown her opening her eyes slowly instead of Jin-Woo having a shocked expression on his face and then the scene cutting to her looking at him. I was suspicious that he was hallucinating so it didn't resonate with me like it should have, lol. I actually liked this episode. Resolved the mother stuff (hopefully) so now he can have more interactions with the other S hunters instead of fighting generic mobs in dungeons by himself. I love battles, but come on... Time for some actual plot development. |

A bit of a "place setting" episode, but the scene of the mother's healing was really impactful, and will be interesting to see Jinwoo's motivation now that she's healed. I'm kind of sad that the cute vampire girl got ignored and suddenly ditched 🕯️ but hopefully she eventually comes back into the plot (although I can imagine it being a long wait if she does come back 😬). S-rank hunter fights will be cool to see. I'm guessing the Japan hunters will kind of own, but then Jinwoo will take part and kick ass instead. |

I thought this one was awful. Worst episode of the season so far for me. I can't believe they wasted so much potential with him and his mother's shared storyline. That is on me though, I got my hopes up after several really good episodes in a row. Time to go back to turning my brain completely off and just enjoying the visuals. Though, it seems like a lot of peeps loved it based on the voting. So, maybe it is a me problem. |

Aw he finally completed what he set out to do from the beginning! What a lovely episode this was. Great to see all the S-rank hunters in the same place however.. after everything we've seen.. those ants don't look even close to the kind of monsters Jin woo has battled.. on his own no less. Gathering all the s-ranks not just from Korea.. but from all around the globe is a bit overkill when lets be honest, Jin woo is gonna clean the floor with them on his own with in 5 minutes.. same goes for the group sparring session... he's gonna f them up lmfaoo. I also loved the fact that he has a literal dragon now he can summon ahahaha. Can't wait to see what he does with it. Great episode as always.. even better that the episode got leaked early. See you all next week for an epic sparring session (that'll last 5 seconds aha) |

Thought some of the scenes went on too long, particularly the scene of Sung's mother holding his crying face. Felt a little too contrived. I guess this is what we would call melodrama, huh? Otherwise episode was ok. Funny how the s-class all behave like a bunch of children. |

I loved this episode. It was also around this point in the manhwa where things began feeling richer and more meaningful. And it'll only go up from here. Combine that with A1's great adaptation, and we're in for a real treat for the rest of the series. |

That was a nice scene of his mother waking up. I thought something would go wrong and the system would give him an unreasonable quest, but so far it seems to go quite well for Jinwoo. Next episode should be good with more hunter vs hunter action. |

A emotional episode and moment for Jinwoo. His mother was the entire reason he became a hunter and after tough fights, he has successfully crafted the Elxir of Life. He was still skeptical about whether it will cure his mother but he had faith and when his mother woke up, I had tears in my eyes and seeing Jinwoo burst out in tears made me even cry more. His hardwork paid off. Seeing Jinah happily hug her while crying mother was so emotional. A moment 4 years in the making to see the mother waking up from Eternal Slumber. But Jinah seriously. How can she make that of a mess in just one week. Looks like we got a brief introduction of Thomas and the next episode should be fun. Jinwoo is about to show what he’s made of. Ngl episode felt very short |

episode was a real tear jerker One thing I noticed, which maybe will be addressed (or not cause its anime), the people trying to reach him didn't camp out his mom for him to visit. And after he basically resurrected her, the doctors were astonished, but didn't let anyone know (the head of the hunters for example) about his mom being the ONLY one healed ( i am sure they can draw a line between his mom and him). So when he finally shows up for a chat, no one even asks him about how he did it (while they should have). |
