| hahaha i thought kimi was an adult until that scene where him and siesta talk about him being a middle schooler. anyways - i didn't find this to be bad but i was dozing off in the second half of this episode. definitely seems like an interesting show nonetheless so i'll keep watching. wasn't expecting a long first ep though wowie two shows i'm watching this season started with a ~45min first episode |

| I really like this start, probably one of the better premieres so far this season. First off, but how does that guy be anything like a middle schooler?? He looked like he was well past his teens, employed as an office worker or something... The airplane fight, even though I do find the tentacle plot a bit questionable for now, was fantastic. The animation was great, far better than I had expected from this studio. That looked slick AF. I love Siesta and her ways of teasing Kimihiko. Their dynamic is great and I can already see where this is heading on the romantic side, however.. That ending was ominous, she's already dead? I mean it was gonna happen due to the title of the show, but I am really curious to see how the development is going to impact the rest of the story. Looking forward for more! |

| That was pretty interesting for a start. I feel blue balled that Siesta is already dead, we will see about that I guess and how it went down but then what's the point of the story without her, there must be a catch. (like she will be back as android or something...) And as others, I was also confused about Kimihiko, middle school? Seriously? lmao (but I also heard there will be a timeskip so alright then lol) Animation and voice acting were top notch imo. |
| Honestly I found that girl annoying. Or rather the whole episode seemed to irk me off with the unbelievable events in it, so I'm glad it got done away with something that was the root cause. Good riddance. |

| That's a very good starting episode. Didn't see any of those in a while. The animation was amazing during the first fight. I'm expecting some great stuff. |

| Really impressive animation in the first half. Some really cool sequences there. Anyway pretty lighthearted show besides the "she is already dead" thing. Seems the show won't take itself very serious. Lots of nonsense like secret organizations, tentacle androids, and middle schoolers that look 20, but I had a fun time watching. |

| This episode was not a smooth flowing episode as far as plot/dialog for me. The dialog just bounced all over the place like it needed to just calm down a bit. The premise is interesting. The animation and artwork are very nice to look at. It seems that the series will be enjoyable but probably not remarkable. That's fine.... entertainment comes in all flavors. |

| This has got to be the dumbest show I have seen in years. It's like a mystery show written by someone who can't tie his shoelaces. Uninteresting characters, uninteresting plot. Uninteresting EVERYTHING. I actually want to grab a small animal and throw it in a fucking river after sitting through that absolute inane shitshow. |

| I thought this was a pretty ok start. The pacing did seem a little off switching from the hijacking to the school setting, and for some reason the sound design and OST just felt really underwhelming especially during that fight scene. Kimi's VA seems to speak in only one single cadence with little to no emotion added whenever he's exclaiming or angry. Hopefully since this seems to be their first big role, that they'll gradually find the voice for the characters because as of now the delivery was pretty monotonous. |

| Absolutely fan fucking tastic first episode. I've been looking forward to this show for a long time. Though the studio has had me worried since they were announced. This episode erases all fears I had. Going to buy the first volume of the light novel now. It's definitely deserving. Can't wait to see the show progress. |

| Boy, that was painfully boring and calling it mediocre feels quite generous. Long panning shots with long boring dialogues that make little to no sense, asspull deductions with no basis and the only reason to is to look cool, characters that look like young adults already but attend junior highschool and even cyborgs that were already taken care by playing some weird 4D chess game before it even began, a magic rifle that fits in a suitcase. That's 45+ mins of my life I'm not getting back. I still wonder what was the point of making the premiere a double lenght when part A & B are so detached that could had been easily split in 2 episodes. Thsi is a no brainer of a drop. |

| Really interested in this, I love the way it keeps on moving forward, like the final airport scene with them, or the cut to highschool. The animation during the fight was cool, and letting myself get swept away, the story seems pretty mysterious too. Though there are many inconsistencies, this world hasn’t been explored enough to really call them that yet. |

| Okay so, the first minutes of the episode were completely overloaded with a really bad mixture of cringyness and pretentiousness i just can't bear to watch. The sakuga scene was so overdone it actually made me laugh. Then after that it turns into some school anime? wtf? The tone of both parts is so drastically different (although similarly stupid), it's clear that this was supposed to be two separate episodes instead of one. I am impressed with how high the score for this is, jesus, this pretty much proves all you need to be a mainstream nowadays is have some sakuga, put some generic waifu, and a 1-hour or so starting episode and done. This seriusly just falls on the "so bad its good" category for me, although i really doubt i will keep watching this, i pprobably will though, because im not watching much else this season anyways and im bored. |
| Another great hour long premiere, i really enjoyed it. I had a hard time finding on Funimation but it was worth it. The plane case was cool, had some really good animation in a few parts, I was surprised to see the studio was ENGI after seeing that, really good stuff. The rest of the episode was more laid back, MC and Siesta busting a drug ring at his middle school lol, we got a lot of cute Siesta moments too. I’m pretty into mystery anime so I’m hoping this turns out to be a really good one as it goes on, I like it so far. One thing that had me a little confused was how MC is a middle schooler, while he doesn’t really look it at all, it doesn’t bother me though. And so now Siesta is apparently already dead as the title suggests lol, very interesting. I’m excited to see if we still see her after this. New girl next episode looks promising! |
| so uh for a while now all the visual art for this show had me questioning what the hell it actually is...having watched yet another hour long opener i still don't know what it actually is a comedy ? action? mystery? because most of it felt flat normally not a fan of these kind of detectives' were they just pull out deductions out of their asses but was willing to see were it went then mother fucking ear tentacles like what that serious bruh moment was somewhat redeemed by a overkill of sakuga really that looked good but i have no idea they had to go so hard on animating that because i doubt the show is gonna be looking like that all the time. then we jump to a middle school story because somehow our MC that isn't a young salary man is actually a middle schooler??? is he from the joestar family lol regardless i didn't hate this it was just okay will keep watching because there ant much out and Siesta is cute for what it is and i believe the hololive girls are showing up at some point |

| um.. that final stretch of the episode.. what? but if I'm being completely honest: aside from that bit, I loved it. I came in completely blind and I knew absolutely nothing and based off the cover, I was expecting another possible boring and generic seasonal and I can say that I've been proven wrong just based on this one episode. The two of them were super cute together and I loved their interactions and overall dynamic they they carried. I do like siesta far more out of the two and she's super likeable in her own way. Kimi is a little uh.. a bit generic when compared to her but he does serve his purpose within the story well enough. I do like the self awareness though since I obviously thought kimi looked generic too so I found myself laughing when they intentionally made the joke of how forgettable he is and how he would fit right in during that whole bath exchange. The whole premise of the show with these two characters made it super enjoyable and I do love the mystery being played out through dialogue. A great and unexpected start. Maybe the most standout point of this long episode was probably that airplane fight though.. Like... WOW. That looked visually amazing and was quite hype even if it's short in duration. I love my sakuga bits no matter what the series is. I wasn't expecting anything like that whatsoever but it's welcome for sure. I loved it. As for the ending bit, I went in blind so I actually wasn't expecting or knew beforehand that she was gonna bite the dust so I was genuinely surprised when he said that. I know the title of the series and all but I thought it was just a title and didn't straight up reference a major event from the first episode. I definitely had super positive feelings overall and my expectations were blown way but this is only based off of the first episode.. and considering how the best character seems to have died, it really makes me worried for the future. I loved how everything played out this episode bt I really get the feeling that the series will reach a downhill point in the future just due to it being hard to predict. There's nothing wrong with being unpredictable and I think that's a fair take but the first episode set such a high bar in terms of personal expectation and enjoyment that it just seems so difficult to pass. The direction of the series is hard to read and as I stated, I can't help but worry in that sense. I'll hope for the best though. Overall, pretty great and unexpected first episode and I have my worries for the future but I'm happy with what we got today |

| Glowing tentacles suddenly growing out of body parts. Odd-looking weapons popping out of silver suitcases. Wait, isn't that Tokyo Ghoul? So yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be a fantasy-themed anime. Was expecting it to be more realistic but it's fine either way. Killing the most publicly liked character directly in the first episode sure is something new so I'm interested in watching more of it. Looking forward to the next episode. |
| Great episode. I liked the animation and the overall ambiance of the show. The character dynamic between the two is good. Overall its a great pilot episode with mystery at the end. And title drop which is a nice touch |

| Man, this anime actually has a great animation and graphic, made me forgot that ENGI is still a new studio around here. But, the story is... a bit weird. When I hear the word "Detective", I expect something like crime solving, but monster ? Huh ? I'm still waiting for next episode, I want to know how the story will go |
| 40+ minutes of premiere with two detective cases already. How nice! The animation and art actually not so dissapointing. But the story clearly need to more time to digest if its matched up with my standard or not. But, my initial impression surely not so good about this one. Too much silly things goin on around the mc, like how he could lead the trouble around him around. More like a convinience matters. How this show got a sci-fi element on it, but the genre seems to ignore it completely, for the sake of mystery. Then, surely killed off, or at least announced the fmc right at the start of the series really not my expectation at all. However, i am still looking forward, is the mystery really worth watching? Or its just stay as silly as i thought. Purely its just my initial impression, or i am just so drunk over this first. So, yeah, lets see next! |
