| My AOTY would've been Owarimonogatari II since any Gatari always gets an easy win for me but this year is a rare case as the Ancient Magus Bride has rivaled and pretty much surpassed it in terms of enjoyment by a very slight margin. Although I have to say am surprised Made in Abyss isn't higher on that poll as I'd assume that's the main AOTY for everyone overall. |

| @AndoCommando Why is there an option to give multiple votes? This will just lead to filler votes resulting in troll votes for garbage shows such as Hand Shakers. There would be less trolling if you removed those entries - you could implement some criteria where an anime has to be above a certain rating (let's assume => 7.00 for this scenario). You effectively cut off shows which are perceived by the majority to be non-AOTY contenders. Let's be realistic, casual MAL fans deems shows less than 7 to be BAD and anything above GOOD. Nobody would label a 6.96 rated anime the greatest. If people were given one vote, they'd actually be more inclined to research their options. The flaw I see in my proposal is it will lead to the popular anime winning regardless of it being AOTY quality. I won't be too bummed if something like MiA or BNHA S2 wins it. Anyway giving people an extra vote is just ridiculous in my opinion. |
