Hmm, It kinda weaker episode, but still worth it. lel, Tendou Karen has the most hated character in the story... About the episode... It's cute but lacks on comedy... Amano is still a casual player. Well it's ok tho. It's a slightly funny, on how misunderstanding works. *5/5 This episode is just overrated for others... *4.7/5 For me. *overrated like me. *Just kidding, Opinions may vary. |

RandomCritic said: @scruffykiwi @G_Sparks233 ~cracks fingers~ alright here we go. The translation of volumen 2 has been out for many months out and volumen 3 was out last month. I read it thanks to a friend of mine who gave me the link to it. First of all volume 2's first part covers the confession and the date of tendou and amano plus other details taken off for the anime's time limit. This can not be volume 3 because: A) Amano has not met Chiaki's sister yet, who helps him on a game project he building and a chapter is about that. B) Chiaki's sister helping Chiaki and Amano hooking up. C) Volume 2 ends with Amano discovering that Chiaki is his favorite game developer and also MONO. D) Chiaki discovers she has feelings for Amano but hides and denies them. E) Kasuku and Agiri breaks up to start anew Then we have volume 3, who starts with most misunderstandings. Kasuku and Agiri talks it out about their misunderstanding, Kasuku breaks up with Agiri to ask her out to be his girlfriend again to start a new. And also the game meeting clubs getting together. Then there is the event that Karen brings the game of life to play among the group. But later everyone begins to talk to clear the misunderstanding. Karen discovers that Chiaki has feelings for Amano, and Chiaki admits to her feelings. Volume 3 ends with Karen breaking up with Amano because she feels and knows their relationship was not working because it was based on a misunderstanding so they decided to start over again and this time Karen is giving Chiaki a chance as well with Amano. And that's how the cookie crumbles. The misunderstanding gets solved by volume 3 but... with sacrificed. And so far the mentions for volume 2 has not appeared yet in the anime so like I said, the anime is currently still at volume 2. Nope. Should have cracked something else apart from your fingers. Next time provide some actual links to substantiate your facts. I also note you haven't commented on your fake spoiler as well. Here is a link to Confused Translation's site. I'll quote what they put after translating chapter 6 of volume 2, which is where the confession happens. "Hello and welcome back to “very late updates” by qbomb! On this episode, we finally finish Gamers v2, and get to announce that I am now back to translating Youkoso after a short break! Thank you everyone for waiting patiently, and now that my summer job is wrapping up, I should have some more time in the coming few weeks." |

@scruffykiwi I bet you all the money I have that we are still in volume 2 in the anime. Amano meets Chiaki's little sister in volume 2 NOT in volume 3. And Amano still hasnt started on the game he wants to create, which that is in volume 2 as well. You know what is nice about the truth? That it always comes out to light sooner or later. Could be yours, could be mine. But this is my conviction, my resolve... and I am willing to bet my life on it. Are you willing to bet your life that the anime is at volume 3 and not 2? |

And here I thought they'd roll with just going out together, but apparently Tendou is still a bit apprehensive about the whole thing, whilst Amano believes that the entire thing is a sham to cover up Uehara's cheating on Aguri with Tendou. Chiaki, on the other hand is on the outside looking in, but has the same way of thinking that Amano does. I guess both these two geeks really fit the tropes about otaku having inferiority complexes (all that "she wouldn't really choose me" and "she's only doing this to hide her real relationship" stuff is grating on my nerves though) and not seeing their own value or appreciating themselves as human beings. I'm glad they sort of toned it down this episode, though I'm pretty sure they're going to pick back up at it next week... If anything I enjoyed their little gamer date and the pool segment. |

it's amazing how this anime has just devolved into nothing but misunderstandings. the characters completely ignore when someone says something nonsensical or something that doesn't even align with their feelings. i have one more eye roll left in me before i drop this. probably should have dropped it a few weeks ago tbh. |

They need to lessen the funny and ridiculous misunderstandings. Its getting really annoying. Also, I though Amano would break up their relationship instead ask her out on a date? Does he like Karen? That date was fun, and my gawd, Karen looks stunning in that swimsuit. Chiaki is looking fine as well in hers. The date was good. I like this moments. I think Karen is a waste for Amano, but it a more of a waste if he doesn't spend the time and moment for his beautiful blonde girlfriend who's the dream girl of every male. They look really kind of good for each other. |

Anyone else think Chiaki was stalking them? Or at the least, Keita. She insisted on Keita coming with them to look for her little sister that 'apparently' went home, then still stuck around afterwards. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of drama between the 3 of them soon. |

This episode was just wow for me. Until now, I hated Amano so much. He was just a dumb garbage character, but he became more self-confident. Or am I imagining things? Until now he was just a little dumb nobody, but in this episode I kinda changed my mind. I loved how he reacted when Chiaki came and grabbed his arm. He was like Tendou is here, what are you doing Chiaki? I don't mind all of those misunderstandings for now, but I really hope that in the last 3 minutes episode 12 there won't be any misunderstandings and he will kiss her. I'm gonna be so hurt if that doesn't happen. |

Dropped with a score of 3/10 I thought this had sooo much potential as a romcom but the misunderstandings went too far and too jumbled. Sometimes I wonder if these people even have brains. It was pretty annoying how Tendou took everything for granted and didn't confessed her own feelings. Chiaki and MC look much better together. It should've been like that actually lol. WAAAAIT!!! STOPPU STOPPU!!! You didn't get me. Its half my fault, i should had expressed more but those guys knew what was i talking about. There is no need to drop, here I will clear myself. When I said they break up to start a new, I meant that they breakk up to go back together (Takusu and Aguri). This time it was Uehara who asked Aguri to be his girlfriend to start a new without misunderstandings. Also that before he thought that Aguri was just a simple grupie and didn't like him for real. But once the misunderstanding clear, he really liked her and he knew she liked him so they broke up to go back together and start their relationship from zero aiming for a new future. So no need to worry mate and no need to drop. It was another misunderstanding lol, pun. Sorry my bad. |

A lot of you people are complaining about the misunderstandings going on with the show. Sorry to burst your bubble but this novel IS ABOUT misunderstandings. The whole story centers around it and is the main topic for the story. If you don't like it well too bad. Most of you only know this story because of the anime. And only seen the anime. And will drop the story and miss one great comedy story because of your wrong conception of it. Once again, this story is not about gamers or gaming, no... Sorry but no This story is about a harem rom-com story ABOUT misunderstandings; that gamers got involved with. So the misunderstanding jokes is the center of this story and is how these characters came to be and join together. If you don't like it then too bad. You are within your rights to do so. But just remember that you will miss out on something good. I myself will continue reading and watching the series, because I understand what's the topic in this story is about. And Honestly? I do not mind how this story is being developed because that's the beauty of it That's where are the tension, suspension and hook ups comes from. One could see that the characters become pretty dumb on their misunderstanding but that was the purpose for them for story development! I remember back in episode 8 how the wave of over thought and wrong conclusions from these idiots get me going and i even did a couple of Godzilla face-palms (Because when Godzilla face-palm the fail is epic) and I wanted to smack some sense into them! But that kept ME going! And I still enjoyed the episode very much! Because is the fun of it! So yeah, this is not your average normal gamers story. This story is not about gaming or gamers. This story is about how people can become idiots when they overthink things and come to the wrong conclusions and suggestions based on hollow impressions and how Japanese people always make their assumptions based on image and looks only without thinking things streight and how because of those assumptions ruins people's reputation because Japanese people DO NOT ACTUALLY TALK TO EACH OTHER ABOUT THEM PROBLEMS NOR TRIES TO CLEAR THINGS and put things straight! It just happens that the characters involved are gamers. Just stop, leave your fanaticism hanged for a second and think straight... think about it. It all will make sense. And you might actually enjoy this ball of chaos and continue watching until the end. Stories does have happy endings, right? I myself disliked Tendou Karen since the beginning because how arrogant and smug she was trash talking casual and none-competitive games, when she calls herself a gamers and should appreciate all games no matter the x or y reason they were made for (personal likes are another thing) But did you saw me quit because of? (I took offense to Karen's discrimination of Amano's likes in games). I am still here, aren't I? And I actually felt sorry for Tendou when she got stepped all over back on episode 3. Maybe you should do the same. Hang your fanaticism, and just enjoy the show for what it is: A rom-com story about misunderstandings that involves gamers in high school. This story is just full of (Like my great Doctor said) wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff... P.S. If you only knew that things like this does happen in real life to Japanese people. Its like a daily thing on them making assumptions based on impressions which makes wrong conclusions and believes towards a person that most just ruins reputations. Well most involves arrogance and envy but you get my point. |

Aw, this was a cute date episode :3 Glad that Amano decided to take her out instead of taking back his confession! Even though Chiaki "interfered" a bit lol. Poor Uehara, nobody believes that he's faithful ... RIP T_T Plus pool episode as well, swimsuits for both Karen and Chiaki ;3 Their relationship development was pretty good, especially at the end, so I guess this week we get a bit of a breather before more misunderstandings happen?! :O |

GoldenDevilGamer said: Unlike most people, I actually want this series to focus more on misunderstandings that resolutions. When you have the over-the-top ridiculous misunderstandings the series initially had, it felt a lot funnier. Take those misunderstandings away and now you have a simple and generic romcom anime. That isn't to say that this episode was bad, because it was still had its fun moments. The date was fun and all, despite lacking in comedy. That rooftop scene was pretty funny. Also, lol at dense Chiaki hogging onto Amano in front Tendou. 4/5 I'm with this guy. The constant misunderstandings is the thing that's making this entertaining. Every story needs a conflict and the characters own stupaty is this one's. Most rom com's do this will they, wont they but we all know how it ends nine times out of ten. At least this anime understands its main drama is the character’s inability to be straight with one another, making them their own enemy. It’s hardly reinventing the genre but it not trying to. It just trying to make you click on it next week, which is working and there's nothing wrong with that. But saying that, don’t know why they called it ‘gamers!,’ if that the case. The only problem with this episode is Chiaki being completely idiotic, clinging to Amano knowing he's on a date. I know she awkward like Amano but she isn’t this level where she didn't know you go up to a guy like that. Other than that I'm interested in were this goes as Amano and Tendou seem to have award chemistry with one another throughout most of the date. So this might be a sigh they won’t end up together by the end. |

I guess Amano scored some points this epd, but he's still a garbage MC. He's just bland, there's nothing interesting about him despite what the anime wants us to believe. Aguri and Uehara have a more interesting relationship, and often times I find myself only watching this to see what will happen with those two. Hoshinomori has more plot development over Tendou. Tendou just feels unnecessary for this anime, they dedicated an whole epd just to remind us that she still exist. I feel like this show would still do well if Amano were shipped with Hoshinomori in some way, and they connect on a whole other level when it comes to gaming. |

Interesting episode development, I like the evolution of Tendou and Amano, I hope that the bonds of love between the two main protagonists will be resolved in the next episodes. 4/5 Good episode. |

Although, bad taste is a thing too, but that's another story. Oh, don't bring novel or whatever the source of this show is. We're watching the tv version. The show is not bad, but is not perfect. It serves the purpose for what it is made. You either like it or not and you are within your rights to do so. But don't just bash a story just because of things you do not understand. remember this story was made for Japan and for Japanese people, that we are seeing all these anime is a privilege not a right. Japan cares not much about western people on their shows they had been surviving with the otaku community in their country 99%. Even if you all drop it it will change nothing. Otaku people will keep watching and buying because it was made for them. Just remember that you will miss on a nice story because of your overall fanaticism and points of view from a western stand point which the show was not made for. Whether you watch the Tv version or the novel is still the same thing. The anime is based on the novel and follows it (for the exception of certain chapters which were reduced because of time). If you're saying that the anime sucks but the novel is great, then you are being hypocrite. Because basically is the same thing. Only difference is that one you read and the other you watch. So go ahead, drop it. It will make no difference. People who likes it will still watch it. And the show will still be liked; especially in Japan. Also hell with those Japanese people who keeps their mind to themselves. If you have a problem, talk it out. You're not in a real companionship if you're keeping your mouth shut. I would rather be blunt as fuck and lose a couple "friend" than stay shut up and have a bunch of "friend". See? that is the problem with most western people. They do not see that each countries has their own quirks and views and want all countries to be the same. Just because they do not understand. Japan has its own ways to view culture and do their own things. Who are you to judge them and want them to change what traditionally they follow for millennia? Sure we may see it as stupid, we may find it weird. But that is their way to be. And they understand themselves. They understand what is this coming from. And they do not mind it because its a reality. Alas in a way this story is teaching them to do what you say: talk, in a humorous way. But you can not expect millenia of tradition to change over night. And for Japanese, image is everything. And keeping their real toughts within is better so they do not "affect the harmony among people". That's what means to be common. If you lived in a society of shame you would understand. And this way of thinking is what had made Japanese society one of the most police society in the world. That their culture is hierarchy is another story and it has been like that for millennia. And you nor anyone can change them only themselves can. And if they don't want? Then so be it. Stop trying to make other countries adjust to you. Is like this scene I was told once: An american went to Panama to visit as a tourist then got angry because the store clerk could not understand her because spoke no english. She was told that Panama is a spanish language community and she should try to learn some spanish to communicate with them. Then she had the gal to say that they should all speak english, that they all should be like americans? Why? She is inside their country not the other way around why would they have to adjust to her whims? Why would they have to speak english when their nation is latino? She is the one that should adjust to them. Like the saying goes: "When in Rome, do as Romans do". And we are watching an anime for Japan, In Japan and for the Japanese. That we are able to see it, free, is because someone illegally rip it off and stream it here so it is not a right but a privilege. And if many people arrogantly continue with this, Japan will close out all their media market and we will be like in the 80s. And they wont care, is not like they will have any loss. Look at what Bandai did to Gundam. They cutted ties with America Bandai with the merchandise and now we westerns are not getting any Gundam related material imported. And has that affected their market? I believe not... they still make gundam series and games and still on going in Japan. What we receive from Japan in the west is just 1/100 of the whole. Think about it. |

> But don't just bash a story just because of things you do not understand. Sorry, but i do understand what i'm talking about. So yeah, using your logic, i can bash it. > Japan cares not much about western people on their shows... ...Even if you all drop it it will change nothing. Otaku people will keep watching and buying because it was made for them. Then just let us be, lol. We're just trying to shed some light for some poor souls here. > Tv version or the novel is still the same thing. > (for the exception of certain chapters which were reduced because of time). See? Even you said it yourself that there are some differences. These things are probably the simple yet important point that makes some story turned shit when adapted. That's why i say just stay on the TV one. > Japan has its own ways to view culture and do their own things. Who are you to judge them and want them to change what traditionally they follow for millennia? First, i'm not saying that to ALL Japanese, but only to THOSE Japanese who keep their mind to themselves, know the difference. Second, i'm not judging or forcing my idea, i'm just saying it's annoying. Third, i'm an Asian, not a Western. In my place, talking out your problem is one thing to solve it. That's the common sense here. ----- Btw, your comparison is kinda stupid imo. Using your logic of "privilege", then it's completely up to us to bash it or not since we ~~illegally~~ bring this anime to ourselves from Japan, not the other way around. Also we're discussing this in an English-based board, not Japanese-board. Using your "comparison", we're not expected to use Japanese way, right? |

Yeah no, you don't. You're bashing it because "its gets annoying because of how the characters act stupid and the misunderstandings are getting too much". You're forgetting the story was made that way for that purpose and it will not change. That is the fun and beauty of it. Misunderstandings around japanese gamer kids. And how looks similar to real life when people judge based on assumptions. That's just it. You don't like it? Too bad. You are within your rights. But is not nice to judge it if you do not the real reason why is like that. Which is why I defend and explain it to people before they decided to whether leave or not. You want to drop it? go ahead. > Tv version or the novel is still the same thing. > (for the exception of certain chapters which were reduced because of time). See? Even you said it yourself that there are some differences. These things are probably the simple yet important point that makes some story turned shit when adapted. That's why i say just stay on the TV one. Uhm... Hello? I know you are smart enough to see my words clearly. Well let me be clearer... When i said reduction I meant taking out excessive description which is used in text to describe something. Anime si drawn so is not needed. Which can save time for the 30 minutes line-in. The story concept and content inside of it its the same as in the novel so yeah it still the same story, same development; only anime is hand drawn. I know you're smart, I know you saw that and you just trolled me for the fun of it. Please don't let me over estimate you. -- Regardless, if you look at it in a sense... whether you are asian or not you're still a westerner. You don't live in japan so you are west or north west from japan. (Unless you're from Taiwan which is another story.) And like I said (This part was mostly meant for people in general), we seen anime outside of Japan is a privilege not a right. And you are not paying to see those episodes, right? So stop complaining. You either like it or not. But don't bash it if you do not understand the purpose it was made for because of culture, or cultural views. Japan understand them, anime was made for them. We just collateral watchers. So we should give thanks that at least we get to see them. So in the end; If you want to drop it then do so. It will be sad, but no loss will be done. |

Ill keep watching it, its one of the bests this season, its really fun and the characters are loveable. Misunderstandings are usually annoying but this show give them a great and fun use. And I love it. This series is not even close on being bad, at least not yet. |

RandomCritic said: WAAAAIT!!! Phew, thanks for clarification! Aguri and Uehara are the only characters that I like, and the ones that prevent me from dropping haha |

OMG Tendou and Amano are so cute together. I ship it so much! I love how it started off as a mistake and now it is actually slowly forming into something great! |
