| I got to admit, 2014 - despite having JoJo SC as a saving grace - is the worst year for me. From a total of 7 series that I watched, only one other series besides JoJo SC that I truly like: Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. I dropped one series (SAO II) and put another one on-hold since I was gradually losing interest of it (SailorMoon Crystal). Also, some of my peers seemed to love Tokyo Ghoul so much, but sadly I couldn't be bothered to watch it (yes, I didn't even watch it since it began airing). As for 2012, yes, it got its purity polluted by SAO. But 2012 contains some of my true favorites like JoJo, Aikatsu, and YuruYuri II. Also includes honorable mentions like Chuunibyou, HYOUKA, Muv-Luv, and Nyaruko-san. 2013 also has several great names like Shingeki no Kyojin, KILL la KILL, Love Live!, KamiNomi S3, and Gundam Build Fighters. |

| Since I've only been watching currently airing anime since 2012 I can't really speak for what anime was like before then. I'd probably say 2013 out of 12, 13 and 14. The year got off to an awful start with the gradual nose dive Psycho Pass took after the pointless flashback episode, the disappointment of Vividred and Tamako Market, a whole bunch of really awful shows with 5 minute episodes flooded the airwaves and the metric ton of garbage like Kotoura-san and Oreshura fooled me into thinking Haganai Next was one of the best shows ever. The rest of the year was better (I liked Maou-sama, Kinmoza and Gargantia) but truly great stuff like Madoka Rebellion and Non Non Biyori didn't come until the year's end. Not to mention we still got trash like Aku no Hana and Vampirerape the Penetrator in between. Not to mention the long, tedious downward spiral that was Doki Doki Precure which ran throughout the whole year. Also while I do like Attack on Titan I've only grown to dislike the western anime fandom even more thanks to all the unfunny memes it inspired, the degenerate fanbase it attracted (Who then proceeded to go on anime forums like this one to whine when they realised not every anime pandered to their gore fetish) and the fact that it's still going to be the single most popular show at every convention I go to in the next few years despite the fact that it will be at least two years old by then. |

| What's with all the 2012 hate? We might've gotten a lot of shit that year, but that's the same every year. 2012 had quite a lot of quality shows as well in the form of Hyouka, Aquarion Evol, Jojo, Psycho-Pass and so many more. 2013, at least for me, is probably the worst year. Samurai Flamenco was the best show, but everyone seems to hate that. Also liked White Album 2 and OreGairu. But that's it. The number of quality shows from 2013 was just so low, even if the highs were high. |

| leaving aside 2014 since I've completed like 4 shows this year until now (I usually watch shows a while after they have been completed, so will watch most of the 2014 shows interesting me in 2015), according to malgraph worst year in my case is 2011 with around 5.5/10. Which surprised me a bit since there are shows like Madoka magica and steins gate that I really liked from this year, but then again I looked at the list and had to agree to why it's rated lower. I've watched some terrible, terrible shows from that year, no wonder... |

| If we go by MALGraph then it's 2013, the year of mediocrity. In that specific timeframe you gave of 9 years, it's the year I rated with the lowest scores. Most things I watched ended up being only 6 or 7 and there were less outstanding titles than there usually are. |

| I have a mean score of 5 for this year with a lot of 1s and 2s. Although I did enjoy this year I've just picked up a lot of shit, so I don't think I could say this is the worst year except based on stats. |
