| I think they're cute - to put it simply. As some people have said - cats are the same.. 3-D children aren't cute at all. I'm female and I prefer females in anime and not in real life (which is pretty unexplainable) If you're obsessed with lolicon hentai then there might be a little problem.. because that might reflect in the real world. Then the "it prevents them from messing with real kids" arguement comes in. Personally I cannot empathise with that because I'm not some 50 year old man :D I'm not sure but it is just art, right? |

| I don't care for them. In harem genre there always seems to be at least one loli. Its seems like nothing more than a ploy by the manga authors and anime creators to tap into the pedophile market, maybe pedophilia is so wide spread in Japan that it is a viable market to tap into. |

| I've never found lolis to be appealing, but innocent characters attract me. The really innocent characters are not usually lolis, usually shota or teen girls. I suppose the perfect form is a factor. Being totally aerodynamic just makes sense and is an apeal, having parts of you that hang out doesn't make for good aerodynamics which lolis really encapsulates. I suppose putting a mature mind on it or in it would mean sexual thinking as well but not always. Being cute and being able to get away with speaking in a fairly weird tone ''baby speak'' which is cute and something you can only get away with.Being an adult and wanting to get away with things you did as a child or having the knowledge you have now with the youth and energy of a child as well as the clarity that comes from a spotless mind (free from addictions and other such things). I suppose its just a really desire for those days of purity and innocence that drives the genre, when things were simple and you were 100% sure people loved you and that life was amazing to behold. It's a freedom from restraint or freedom from responsibility. |
