Not a beach episode but this had some fan service for a season finale. Glad to see Arata had moments with each of the family members though. Felt like they each deserved to have a chance with him. Feelings are also discussed among them. "The among us, there are real siblngs...". Yeah, they left this season more open for more storytelling. |

With everything basically wrapped up and all the girls' seasonal arcs concluded, only one thing was truly left to complete the bingo board of gooner romance shows... and for a finale, no less.... A SWIMSUIT EPISODE! And would a Reiji manga really be complete without the usual glazers, ready to oogle over these sisters who are practically goddesses in this world? I don’t blame them, though cause if I saw Banri in that bikini in person... Though ofc, it wouldn’t be a swimsuit episode without the classic ‘Ooohh noOOO, mY bIkkniiii gOt swePT awaYYyy!’ would it? Anyway, it only took us, hmm, UNTIL THE FUCKING FINALE for Kotono to finally do something after that CRAZYYYY step-in back in, hmm, THE FIRST EPISODE... Okay, but unlike whatever she pulled back then, this time it was honestly just a wholesome and sweet moment. Deserved tbh. It really shows how much Arata has changed since that first episode, because we’ve seen how weirded out he’s been whenever he’s alone with Kotono after the incident. But it seems like he’s finally gotten over it at last, and they got to share a truly sweet brother-sister moment. "Dunno how long it'll take for Arata to get over getting weirded out around Ouka though… if he ever does lol. Seems like Arata’s development rubbed off on Kotono too though, because she finally faced things head-on and apologized to her two sisters, no, her two rivals in LOVE NOW. Absolutely insane way to end the season. And yeah, no guilty pleasure here, this was genuinely so fucking good. Every time I think about it, I have to double-check that this was made by Reiji… you know, the same Reiji with that dumpster fire of an anime airing next season. Yep, same guy. Don't even get me started on these visuals... Truly this was the best Doga anime in general not just visually since like that Dumbell one. Great shit from the guy truly... and a season two... I wouldn't mind all too much tbh xD |

The finale episode being a swimsuit episode of all things, Reiji Miyajima MUST be ABSOLUTELY jumping with glee... The Shiunji family off on their own Summer vacation retreat outing, where swimsuits are out in full force, Arata getting second throughs about it sure is quite the head-banger. And his first problem encountering Seiha and her missing top swimsuit, while performing the usual child's play of jumping off a cliff and into the river, she's definitely playing her smarts against him. Thereafter, Banri asking Arata to accompany her on her own parade, and while the big sis certainly has ideas for her lil' bro, her casually blurting out her confession, is quite the illusive thought too. Arata's commotion next with accompanying Kotono going to the faraway vending machine, given she's the very first sister to show her affections for him, he'e feeling that weight too, so he mellows it down for her, only for her to apologize to him and be reassured that everything is going to be alright. Despite being the youngest of the sisters, and the one most vulnerable to dangers, that's when her love first formed for Arata (despite the wish fulfillment that he could be more than just her brother). Even with the candlielight event at the Kogen Church, the Shiunji Family wil always be the family to protect, though he can't always run away from situations like Ouka kissing him out of the blue. This too, with Kotono's apology to both Ouka and Minami, bears the seeds of love, that one day, this "forbidden" love will bear fruit, more than the secret realization of yet another pair within the siblings themselves. The unexpected Reiji Miyajima hit of Ws, who would've expected this coming, at all. |

What a ride, first I thought I'd skip this but thought I'd give it a shot and well, it wasn't that bad. I'm kinda hoping for a s2, but may just read the manga, I'm curious who the real sibling pair is. I'll assume it's Arata and one of the girls. One thing's for sure now, Arata can't deny anything after hearing all that. If he can't it's just stupid writing. Kinda weird way to end the season though, felt more like a mid-season finale for a 2-cour show |

So there is probably elimination from what i got in that last ending message. So there may be more siblings with arata but real ones so they will be eliminated as romance partners and it will shrink the choice arata has. Tbh idk for whom i would vote. Blue sister seems least choice like emotionless and smart one. Banri was like ecchi perverted big sister type that i would avoid cuz its not that interesting. Kotono is shy and not much presence. Minami and Ouka may be my two choices. Usually sport short hair type like Minami lose in romance so maybe il go for her. And Arata has to much perverted mind like df calm down bro. |

Really great episode It was really nice seeing Arata getting some time with each of the girls separately. With the reveal that there is a pair of siblings among them I would love a second season to find out who they are. |

What better way to end the season than with swimsuit episode with such fluid and bouncy animation. No seriously Banri bouncing behind Arata, boi that was something. The close up shots were all great. The candlelight scene was beautiful and what a way to end the episode and season, Ouka & Minami both admitting their feelings for Arata infront of Kotono. Things are about to get spicy. That ending note, we already know Minami and Shion are siblings so. Quite enjoyed watching this animated. The animation was so good. Hoping for s2. |

i really liked this show for what it was; it may be elevated from the work of doga kobo, but i'll give reiji his credit too. i liked that they all talked things out together at the end, to really clarify things between each other. wonder who the other pair of siblings is. if i were to guess, it's probably not with arata and its between the sisters. |

I know there are people who haven't watch this anime yet but will roaming through the final episode discussion to gauge if this is worth watching or not. So let me say this: If you enjoy watching a rich privilege family that has too much free time that they play incest love game, then go ahead and watch this anime. |

They obviously seem to be setting this up for a second season. I have to say, it would make no sense for the dad to have known there is another set of blood related siblings and not have told them, so I hope that isn't part of the twist. |

A swimsuit episode for the last one huh? Arata having moments with each of his sisters was really fitting for the last episode. I wasn't expecting Banri to say "I love you", but did she really mean it at that time? I genuinely couldn't tell if she was genuine with it. Really glad that Kotono got more screentime, she hasn't gotten ANY until now. That ending scene with Minami, Ouka and Kotono was INTENSE. Minami just saying that she loved Arata straight up and then Ouka saying me too was too much to handle, even when I knew they both loved him. I have a feeling that a Season 2 will come out, based on how it ended but, I'm not sure if there will be one. I actually wouldn't mind one. 5/5 |

Fan service, even more complex family drama and possible incest. what a way to end a season full of complicated emotions that revolve around a very reliable brother that fit the descriptor of an ideal man. Mr. Miyajima deserved praise for this writing this series, truly. ![]() |

Even a Reiji work will be good if Doga Kobo touch it, in all seriousness this is such a night and day difference with Kanokari and feels so much more thoughtfully written. Really a perfect finale for romcom fans. Yea, we got our obligatory swimsuit episode to satisfy the fanservice crowd, but more importantly we got a ton of emotional development/progress that sets us up nicely for season 2! Which hopefully we get at some point, I’ll definitely read it in the meantime. Poor Arata was over there going through it being surrounded by beautiful flowers. Lucky mf. The girls looked so cute! I can’t believe we got ANOTHER confession though, from Banri! Ouka and Arata have the best relationship, but Banri is my fave character I love her sm. I didn’t expect her to make that transition from protective older sister to member of the harem so quickly tho, but hey, that’s a hell of a lot better than dragging things out. Too bad he didn’t hear it 😂 confessing under a waterfall probably not the best idea. Speaking of not dragging things out, Kotono, Minami and Ouka all coming clean with each other about being in love with Arata was so cool. They’re honest with each other, now just time to work up the courage and tell him. Really you can’t ask for much more in a harem romcom than we got this season. Arata feels like a dude who should have a harem, the girls realize their feelings and are determined to compete for his affections and you got a nice bit of drama mixed into it with some emotional moments. This was solid, credit where it’s due, Reiji did well here and Doga Kobo elevated it. I’ll miss this show and this cast! That ending cliffhanger got me scratching my head tho because I’m wondering who tf are the real siblings here?? Is it Shion and Seiha since they both have blue hair or what if it’s Kotono and Arata lmao. Leaving off like that is so cruel 😭 |

Turns out there's an ever bigger plot twist than Arata overhears the sisters' discussion; there's another pair of biological siblings. Let the russian roulette begin! This series isn't the worst thing ever, in fact it's not bad at all. Dare I say it's just a liiiiitle bit better than your recent harem anime and more interesting too (Kakkou no Iinazuke, Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi, and of course Kanojo Okarishimasu). People are gonna say that's a low bar and while I agree to an extent, you can't deny that this series is not interesting. You may find it hard to believe but Doga Kobo did their best to salvage this series. Everything is 10 times more annoying in the manga so if you dislike the anime then don't ever go near the source material. You got to give it to him, Arata is the one trying the hardest to maintain their relationships as siblings. The sisters just straight up don't care, and if one of them turns out to be the other biological sibling (assuming the other pair is Arata) then they don't give two shit about chromosomes. With how it ended, there's no way they're not giving us season two. Not sure how far the anime adapted the manga, but there should be enough material for another season I assume. A solid 7/10. By the way, this is such a mean thing to say regardless of their circumstances. Pretty messed up, Kotono. |

Surprisingly, Shiunji Family was the best anime of Spring 2025. An anime that started as a forgettable LOL, only there to be ridiculed, turned out to be the best for this Spring 2025 season. A nice swimsuit final episode, for some fanservice When Ouka pulled out of the river, and they showed the back of her figure, truly yummy (around the 4:07 mark). All the girls looked yummy in their swimsuits And how about both Ouka and Kotono, wishing that the male MC wasnt their brother, even before they knew that they were not siblings. They were willing to take the wincest route no matter what. But its a shame that the anime did not go with an anime original ending to see him picking a girl. No need to follow an on-going-manga for the final episode, when an anime has very low chances of a season 2 |

Yeah I'm not sure if the final message is alluding to Minami and Shion being blood-related twins (which we already knew) or if they're referring to other existing characters or characters we haven't been introduced to yet. Beyond that this was a great episode that showed off the girls in their swimsuits and with Banri enjoying some "quality time" with Arata haha. I was happy to see that Kotono had a talk with both Ouka and Minami and that they also let Kotono know that they are all rivals. What made this even better was that Arata heard the entire conversation! I hope a season 2 is announced soon even if takes a couple of years to make because this was a good watch. 7/10 |

5:10 Seiha ended up jumping 🤣 10:10 Banri 🫢👀 Her turn now. All the girls eyeing out each other whenever one of them makes a move on Arata 👀🤭 Lots of fanservice shots this episode 👌🏻🍑 14:30 they’re all lined up by age 😂 20:00 OH NOOOOOZE 🤣 here we go. Messy messy. Minami finally confessed! AND OUKA! Holy! And of course Arata heard all that once again 🫢 That ending 👀 real siblings among them? Oh boy. “It’s better when they’re blood related.” - Suou Yuki My 9th Spring 2025 anime finished! 🙌🏻 Bruh this was a WILD one man 🤣 holy. Did not disappoint at all. Kotono, Minami, and Ouka all are definitely hopped onboard for their love war with Arata. Crazy declaration of love rivals. Banri is almost there. Seiha is just there 🤣 Shion too just a spectator. Great Seiyuu cast for this anime with Umehara Yuuichiro as Arata and Rie Takahashi as Ouka. “Sweet Home Alabama! Incest is wincest! If she is not blood related, she is to be dated. It’s better when they’re blood related.” All of those typical quotes definitely apply here 🤣👌🏻 I don’t really have a best girl though for this anime surprisingly! Each girl kinda has their own perks and moments. I hope for a season 2 of this 🙏🏻 also, I loved both OP and ED. Kinda hopped on them late too and didn’t learn the lyrics, but it was yet another anime this season where I liked both 🙌🏻 I learned some lyrics to both. I’m getting major deja vu right now because 2 months ago back in April, I watched an episode on a day I had a practical here in school and now today I have a practical again 😂 |

The end. Since it's by Reiji, the weird author of Kanojo, Okarishimasu, this one is much better in terms of story and characters. Although it keeps a basic non-incest harem plot, the romance even if it didn’t progress much, it had three girls making moves in a single season, which is already a lot. The characters are okay, but out of the five sisters, Banri easily stands out as the prettiest and most charismatic. It wrapped up the season well, and currently there’s no material for a second season. Score: 7.5, and it adapted up to chapter 34 |

BBQ at the river huh how nostalgic. The girls being seen as stars by the locals lol. Without her glasses Seiha is far cuter. Still looks like apart for Ouka the others feelings towards Arata has changed as well. Arata was a god dammed hero for jumping in like that to save Kotono. In the present its nice that we were able to see when she fell for him. The three revealing their true feelings for Arata though was just so fun. What an ending. S2 please. |

Lol it makes me laugh that they're teasing at the end that some people might still be blood related... Is it really the only thing stopping you from wanting to f*ck your family? ahah, I'm not surprised from this author though this guy has some serious problems, at least it was entertaing, what a strange concept but I would lie if I said that the show overall wasn't fun and that the characters were forgettable (aside from the white hair guy, he has no purpose lol) |

This will be a long post since I really liked this anime so I have a ton to talk about. To start with the finale episode it was a good wrap up, A lot of fanservice moments and I mean a lot of Arata gushing over his sisters again which I mean is still weird but I think its at least somewhat valid considering Ouka kissed him. Talking quickly about the last minute mentioning that among them some are actually blood related is interesting. I mean If I remember correctly Shion and Minami are blood related but based of how the ending of this episode went I'd assume that more of them are blood related I can't really guess who is and isn't but I'll go on a whim and guess Kotono isn't blood related maybe. Im just saying that since she's somewhat of a outlier in the siblings. At least this episode portrayed her a lot more like that. Also like wtf is their dad just a troll. Like bro announces their not related just for some of them to apparently actually be related. Like wtf next he's gonna say they had a secret sibling or some other bs. And I really don't think Kotono should feel bad, I mean I don't even know if her proclamation was what made Ouka "run away" I mean maybe it pushed her a bit since I feel like in the first place Kotono confessing her feelings in front of everyone made them all conscious of Arata romantically. Aka Kotono's kinda the reason we even have a plot. But I mean overall it was a good ending and the talk at the end between Ouka, Minami and Kotono was nice, They all have their feelings in the open and I feel like Ouka and Minami are a lot more accepting of Kotono's feelings now and are not just disregarding them as a kid going through puberty. I mean hell If her feelings started when she was rescued in that river since it was implied then I mean that almost certainly proves that wrong since she would have been carrying these feelings for many years. To talk about the anime as a whole I think its actually amazing but has many flaws. Comparing this to Rent a girlfriend (The authors other work) I think its really night and day. This show is 10000000 times better then that trash. But I still think a lot of its wasted potential, Mainly Shion and Yuu are extremely wasted. Hell I guarantee most people reading this/watching the anime don't even know who Yuu is. Like wtf is the point in adding them when they literally are just wall flowers. They have literally no purpose they could have been handled way better. Other than that I can't speak of too many problems. Maybe oversexualising the siblings. Like dam I get their all beautiful but like real guys don't just ogle every hot girl they see. But I could at least somewhat accept it after Ouka kissed Arata and idk I guess it was fine with Banri too. I think all the girls except Seiha got enough screentime this season. I feel like she didn't get much done with her after the first few episodes which is a shame since imo she's the second best girl in the anime. The main thing which annoyed me other than how Shion and Yuu got handled was how everyone except Seiha just said F you to Kotono's feelings just because she's young. I mean its not a fault with the show but its just a plotline which pissed me tf off. But I suppose it made Kotono herself a bit more compelling since I think she's easily the best and strongest of the girls. My finale ranking of the characters 1 Kotono 2 Seiha 3 Banri 4 Arata 5 Minami 6 Ouka (I can't rank Shion or Yuu) Overall I think this was a great show but wasted potential, Absolutely will watch a season 2 this show invested me massively which is mainly because of the characters. I absolutely loved Kotono's character and think she's the strongest and most grounded character, the animation/art style was also beautiful on the eyes. I won't read the manga since I think this actually could receive a season 2 since Rent a girlfriend somehow has 4 seasons A low 9/10 |

While it seemed all dramatic and serious, it's actually funny how the sisters are telling each other that they love their big brother. Anyway, that secret at the end didn't really feel like a twist or something. I mean nothing's gonna change even if there is another pair of siblings. Arata will marry one of them anyway, maybe even his real sister. |

And so we end with some riverside sister ogling, a sister trio becoming honest with each other, and a groan-worthy revelation of a second biologically related pair. It would be funny if second said pair was Arata with Banri or Seiha, in a silly sort of way. Anywho, this was definitely one of the weaker shows I watched this season, but I don't want to be too hard on it because frankly I think I knew it was a stretch for me to even watch it. Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy romance shows, but the premise itself with this one felt pretty weak and nothing done with it was really all that interesting to me, at least to this point. It just felt too much like a soap opera. Certain character arcs like Minami's tennis or getting lost on Mt. Fuji with Ouka just weren't all that interesting to me either. Seiha and Shion felt underdeveloped but to be fair maybe they get more focus later on in the story, I dunno. I'd have liked to have seen more from Shion's perspective in particular. And honestly, the only girl I found even remotely attractive was Banri, but she's also the only one I felt pretty confident from the beginning wouldn't win the Arata sweepstakes. But as I alluded to earlier I did watch this blind, so who knows? What I do know is I didn't enjoy this enough to watch a second season if it gets announced, 6/10. |

As a final episode, this is exactly what you'd expect from an anime written by the creator of My Rent-A-Girlfriend. It's clear there will definitely be a second and maybe even a third season, considering the manga is ongoing. It seems about 5 volumes have been adapted. I wish the final episode had given us something more exciting to look forward to in the second season instead of just fan service and a love confession that we already saw coming—and will definitely be repeated again next season. Also, after everything, I still lean more toward supporting Benri. She’s the most entertaining in my opinion and brought a better romantic vibe to the story, even though she's older than Arata. Shiha and Shion barely had any screentime—they really need more development in season two! I think they’re part of the family, but they didn’t really do anything in the anime! I have to say, Miyajima, Reiji really does know how to write fun, dynamic, and engaging characters, and it helps that we have a MC that is more competent than Kazuya. I think its intentional that he made the MC of Rent a GF annoying and overly wishy washy, because he's perfectly capable of writing someone like Arata very well. ( I'm not saying Arata is some god tier character lol, but for the genre he is in, he's honestly perfect for it ) Easily a top tier harem anime that I REALLY hope a second season for. Which is honestly very likely Kotono was my favorite from episode 1, and even tho Ouka REALLY pulled ahead, I still believe Kotono is best girl 8/10 |

Nice bikini show. The swimsuits all had pluses and minuses for design and color, so I am not going to try to rank them. "You say something?!" Forgot the: 'bitch' Seiha and Bari did not get near as much play this season as the younger three girls. Completely waterproof girls' (except Banri) hair, maybe this is a product that made the Shiunjis rich. "Well, kids are stupid." Mine were wickedly smart. "I suppose I should say 'Aw,its cute how you're so flustered', and act the playful big sis here, huh?" Only thinking about herself, or throwing some shade about Banri? Kotono had a deficit or parental interaction growing up, feeding her brocon tendencies. Another pair of blood siblings. The wording excludes Shion and Minami. For story reasons, I doubt Arata is in the pair. 4 sisters in pairs give 6 possible combinations. I am guessing the pairing will be used to enhance sister rivalry. My best guess is Seiha and Banri becasue of the weakness of their arcs this season, 2nd guess is Seiha and Ouka because I have sensed some heighten tension between them this season. Lala is still going to play some role far down the line. Rival to the winning sister? Herself winning? |

Of course he didn't hear her confession. I'm so god damn tired of this trope. Banri is still the best tho. Charming, teasing, playful, confident and a little bit manipulative. Her character-type reminds of me of Ichika from quintessential quintuplets. Still, it's seem to get real spicy, so I hope a second season is on the horizon. But because it's Doga Kobo, I'd welcome every new show the produce^^ P.S. wasn't Shion such a wasted character? Did he do anything meaningful this season? |

Aaand it's at Christian church maximum perversion… It's still not okay, even if you're not blood related. Let siblings be siblings, you degenerates. I swear, Japan has been relentlessly pushing this, the even more egregious full on blood relation stuff, and traps for 20ish years now. It's disturbing. Those inclusions add nothing, which means the likely motive is normalization. Give it a rest already. Their population is below replacement, and they're fantasizing poking their sisters and little boys in dresses. It's societal suicide. |

As expected all the sisters get their time to shine in the last episode. And now we have 3 of them confirmed, though we all know the harem drill. This show started off quite promising, I thought it would be one of my favorites. And the first half was really quite enjoyable, but then it kinda fell off a bit. Getting stuck in Arata's thoughts so often was a bit annoying at times. So yeah, I wouldn't mind a 2nd season, but at the same time I don't really need one. Banri best girl, 6/10. |

"still another pair of real blood siblings" WHAT?! This is ridiculous, pulling out that cliffhanger right at the end, when things are getting more interesting and people are being honest with their feelings. A completely cruel joke. This actually caused me to bump it down a rating. And if it is two sisters, then this is just a terrible tease. |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

Still, it's seem to get real spicy, so I hope a second season is on the horizon. But because it's Doga Kobo, I'd welcome every new show the produce^^
P.S. wasn't Shion such a wasted character? Did he do anything meaningful this season?

@utopica utopica said: wasn't Shion such a wasted character? I actually think he provided some grounded reality in this mess of feelings flying everywhere. Although he recognizes the sisters attractiveness at times to Arata, he has no real attraction to any of them, that much can be understood, but it is like he is figuring some of them like Arata. He has a girlfriend and is not pursuing any of the sisters. He is more trying to help keep an eye on the situation and also help Arata with advice, seeing that things are on his mind. I think he is one of the better characters in this anime. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

well, it's over. i really hope there would be a second season soon. also was that last message connected to the one in some episodes before? i need watch that part again connect it with this. for now, guess it says that all are siblings except Arata. that's the only thing that can happen without making this actual incest. |

Unless two others are siblings the father says who the real twins are in episode 1 when he revealed to them they were step siblings so the ending confuses me lol |

@ejleon I agree that he acts as a direct contrast to the "insanity" between the rivarly around Arata. He is down to earth, calm and collected and sometimes act as therapist. But I just don't find him very engaging to watch, he feels so flat in my eyes. Sure, he fills a necessary role within the sister-drama, but I just don't find him interesting. Yes, he has a girlfriend, but did we see a plotline where he can really shine his personality? Especially while with his girlfriend (But maybe I don't remember) I just wish we would've seen a lot more of his inner thoughts and how he observed the dynamics happening around him. |

lots of surprises this episode but biggest one for me, was that insane glow up of Seiha without her glasses :0 instantly climbed up from #4 to #2 in my books, only beaten by pink hair/blue eyes supremacy the among us message is even crazier than expecged but actually more curious about what "the reason" for not letting them know this, seems pretty dumb rn without context... |
