Well, the worst kept secret in this show...Mona's feelings towards Medaka and she realizes it herself. Tomo was one of the first to realize it so naturally, they had the talk over that. Episode felt like a plot driven one rather than the usual sitcom. While Mona's feelings are still kind over the place, especially when she interacts with Asahi, she is more honest to herself now. This had an open ending for the season but manga is still ongoing anyway. It was a fun show, lot of humorous and sitcom moments thrown in. Mona did carry this anime imo. Season 2 got announced https://x.com/monaxmedaka/status/1904196256580149337 |

Took her only till the last episode to realize she's in love.. I mean they should've taken their time as this is still far too early, right? Think what would've happened if Tomo didn't come and push Mona and the dude together, like she did. We might have ended on an even worse note. That's why you see, it might be Mona's story(I mean it's dead obvious she'll win), but yeah, she ranks the lowest among all the girls. The adaptation, it sucked… to the very literal definition of this word. It’s one of those cases where the manga just couldn’t translate well into the adaptation, simply said. But yeah, that would be going too easy on this one, as I mean not like the studio even tried. The lame backgrounds plus even lamer character designs made what was worse to begin with, even more worse. I remember liking the initial chapters a bit, but yeah, I didn’t get this feeling even once while watching this with sound. This all ain’t even the worst part btw, as I mean, till this date, WE DON’T EVEN HAVE A SPECK OF PROGRESS BETWEEN ANYONE IN THE MANGA. Lmaoooo. Don’t want this series anywhere near getting a sequel lol. Btw, who was I even kidding with... they announced season 2 straightaway. So yeah if nothing, you know even this series could surprise somehow someway... sigh. |

Oh, so you like him but don’t love him huh, Retard-chan lmao. One more time, if she tries to tell herself she don’t like him one more time, it’s over. She’s gonna be in shambles for weeks, I just know it lol. But hey, being honest with yourself sometimes is good, so at least there’s that. And ah yes, the good ol rose colored glasses mode lmao. But fr, watching Mona be a mess is fun. Finally seeing her all weak and not her usual annoying self is actually kinda nice. Anyway… uh, that’s not how cameras work bro. The angle ain’t even pointing at her panty. Like bruh what lol. At this rate, dude’s basically seen everything already, just call him naked at this point. Though yeah, pretty much ended right where I though it would, with finally, the war for Medaka being declared between Mona and Asahi, and this time, for real fr fr.. To which, I hope we never see animated, because another season of this? Yeah, hard pass. Overall, as if the manga wasn't already insufferable and annoying already, the anime has somehow made it 10x worse, with visuals that make me want to vomit everytime I look at it. SynergySP, for everyone's sake, stick to your Couple of Cuckoos, to which I also hope never gets a sequel as well... oh wait :( EDIT: WHAT THE DUCKDNDJDSJJSJD IT GOT A SEASON 2??? WHY??? |

Mona finally realizing her first love, tries to play it off as per normal, but that clearly does not translate to the group having misunderstandings about her and Kuroiwa, and Tomo knows all too well that her best friend has admitted the bare truth after all this while. Even Mona has to come clean with Asahi, which she admits that she just has to try harder to win his affection. And therein, sets the true rivalry going. Mona literally getting the lovesick treatment and having to call Tomo about her newfound love troubles during lunch break, she clearly is having fun teasing them both for their own private time. Tomo even going as far as to hand her phone for Kuroiwa to check in on her, she actually finds it fun and is over the moon...until her mother interfered, and Kuroiwa had to witness her panties out of mere coincidence lol. After feeling better, it's the Queen Bee being rejuvenated as per usual trying to win over Kuroiwa, but it's him this time who wins over her. Season 2 announced! https://x.com/monaxmedaka/status/1904196256580149337 A guilty pleasure of a rom-com, Kuroiwa Medaka is one. It has clichés and all, but that's entertainment for you. |

PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PANTSU!!! Haha! That was so funny! She finally admitted it... But she doesn't know how to proceed... And that was the end of it. Tomo is having the time of her life, while Asahi says "Now that she finally realizes it, things got serious" It has been fun. I wasn't expecting a ton, and it wasn't a ton, so we're alright then? Edit: Oh, it's getting a second season. I don't know how, but good. This isn't worse than say the guy that has to marry the girl he hates in class, but by reading the comments... Yeah, we'll see if they won't watch the 2nd one when it launches. |

This show kinda grew on me at the end. Mona stopped being so bad and Asahi was amazing. I’ll kinda miss it lol. Season 2 will see me. This finale felt like the actual start of the series now that Mona is honest with herself about being in love, Medaka seems like he’s gonna realize that he can’t keep running from his emotions and Asahi will keep being great. I actually really started liking Asahi and Mona’s rivalry and mutual respect too. One of them weird seasonals that got better with every episode and had some shockingly good character development(for Mona at least, Medaka still an idiot). Yea, it’s kinda trashy, but it’s still fun! |

Unfortunately, this is getting a second season. For me, I like it best with just Asahi and Mona trying to get Medaka attention. With each new girl they added, it just gets worse. The first season is fine as it is. I probably will not watch the 2nd season. |

Now Mona know how Asahi felt in earlier episodes, we know she is gonna win but i feel sad for Asahi, she's so wise yet thinks this rigged battle is a fair fight... She deserves to be a part of some better series, this one is just not for her, and this series will be better off without her too, that'll leave this series as justa timepass feel good funny show rather than a struggle to watch the best girl lose |

This last episode was kinda ruined for me, very different from the manga. In the manga Mona told Asahi at school and Asahi predicted Mona was gonna say it, was way better. Also, she didn't have a fever, she went to school as usual and before that her family noticed she's in love and grilled her about it before she went to school. When she went to school, that last scene where she ran away happened and she faked being sick I think. Either way, I loved reading the manga so will watch season 2, tbh not enjoying the adaption as much as when I read the manga but I liked it way better after Mona realized she loves Medaka so should be all good from here |

It's hard explain why I love this series so much. On the outside it looks like a cliché rom-com, but in my opinion it's closer to a parody, at least at the start. I mean they declare early on they don't intend to tease the viewer with teaser shots just for engagement by speedrunning through them all in episode 1! And already in episode 2 they start mixing things up, but always the focus is on Mona and her journey of finding out she is in love. I therefore see Asahi, to an extend Tsubomi (at least at first) and obviously Tomo as means of pushing Mona towards that discovery. But of course, along the way there is also a lot of fun to be had and a LOT of awkwardness, which you don't see often, especially to this extent! I personally found the show very funny, but I can see why many people think otherwise. (Comedy is very subjective after all...) The question I have now that a season 2 has been announced is how will they make things interesting if the series' initial goal has already been reached. I was satisfied after this season's ending and didn't think a continuation was absolutely necessary. Not that I'm complaining that we got it, I'm just curious what other stories can be told through these characters... 8.38/10 |

The final episode was the best of the entire anime, though it wasn't that hard to pull off. Overall, I would consider this anime just "meh". It gave the feeling that it was undercooked, like eating something bland. Starting with the characters, Tsubomi struck me as a wasted character. Medaka's friends, especially the one with the glasses, were really annoying. Medaka himself didn't do much of anything except try not to fall into temptation. Tomo and Minami were interesting characters, but they barely got any screen time. Mona was really annoying at the beginning, but in the later episodes she became more tolerable, even sympathetic. The only character that really carried the anime was Asahi, which says a lot considering she's going to lose. Unfortunately, the script is clearly going to make Mona win (I haven't read the manga, but it seems obvious). It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either; I expected a bit more, I like clichés but here they were kind of good, at least that's how I felt. What surprises me the most is that they're going to make a second season. Great, now I have to force myself to watch the sequel. |

So this episode served as a strong wrap up to the show and Mona finally can accept she's in love. Overall this show started good, dropped off and somewhat picked itself back up. I firmly believe this show was heavily hurt by having too many over the top ecchi scenes. Which isn't bad but it just wasn't handled very well imo. Especially when you throw in Asahi it becomes so over the top. But I think Medaka is a very strong mc and Mona is decent when she wants to be. The rest of the male characters are all trash and Mona's friend was decent as well. Overall a alright show. I was going to give this a 6 but will apprehensively give it a 7/10 |

Nice final episode. Last two episodes have been particularly quite good. From trying to make Medaka embarrassed and fall in love by end it's Mona who is in love and getting all flustered and fever too. It took 12 episodes but by end it wasn't that bad. Had great start then it was dragging a bit few times but a good end aswell. Kawai Mona indeed Kawai specially when in love. People hate her antics but that's very enjoyable and that carried the show for me. Good tsundere as they should be. Medaka isn't the best mc. He was annoying at times but sometimes he was cool. The whole plot can be avoided if he just said to the girls "me want no women, only peace". But that besides the point. Asahi is very good rival and I really like the mutual respect between them. As Asahi was honest with her Mona also came running to share her feelings too. That scene was my favourite of the season. Tomo, Haruno both helped Mona and Minami Asahi, their contribution were very important. Minami easy favourite for me. Other side characters weren't best but overall the school aspect was done decent enough and those idiots were part of reason why. Even if the romance wasn't good comedy wasn't horrible and some small ecchi aswell. Overall decent show, I am pleased this is getting S2. 6.5/10 |

Such a funny & cute episode. Really glad Mona finally actually realized her feelings and is aware of what her ACTUAL goal is now, not the fake "charm him" one, rather "date him", thought this show would conclude by either them dating or for nothing to occur, since that's usually how romcoms end, however this was a decent conclusion, Mona finally realizing how she actually feels and what her actual goal is. Can't wait for the second season! |

Adorable and very amusing last episode. The scene where they talk when Mona is sick in particular was very cute. Nice to see that Mona's goal has been updated to 'make Medaka my boyfriend'. Overall the show had some flaws imo: not the biggest budget, maybe some slightly strange casting choices, characters overreacting a bit too much at times. But it also had some good sides for sure: Mona is a fun/endearing character and you can't help but root for her, the show is still a pretty cute romcom all things considered and it's a nice watch to relax and empty your mind. I'm looking forward to the second season in any case :) |

Overall, a fun episode that returns to it's original formula.. mostly. The episode had a decent pace, with it continuing off of the moment Mona, finally, admits that she's fallen for Medaka. We're starting the battle between Mona and Asahi for Medakas heart. Mona refuses to lose, and so does Asahi. This episode had an excellent pace between each scene, from Mona and Tomo discussing Monas feelings, to the declaration of war between Mona and Asahi, to Mona getting sick for the first time in years, Mona being bored, Mona being estatic about talking to Medaka, even the panic when Monas mother appears, it seems as though we're set up for a good second season.. which was confirmed: https://x.com/monaxmedaka/status/1904196256580149337 My only wish for this season as that the animation is improved immensely, maybe an art change to make it feel emotional would be beneficial. |

Very cute finale, the game has now changed with Mona realizing she likes Medaka. You could say she has the whole time and this doesn’t mean anything, but the fact she herself knows now is gonna change how she approaches Medaka 100%, we even saw it in just this episode with the FaceTime bit and the very last moment when she became a bright red tomato upon contact with Medaka, I’d say things are a lot different now, also I absolutely saw the panty shot coming when Mona put the tablet down lol, Medaka got bamboozled in the best way. And thankfully we don’t have to wonder how things will progress between Medaka and Mona from here, because a Season 2 was already announced! That really surprised me honestly but I’ll absolutely take it, I’m happy we’ll get to see more of these two in anime form! And that was the “I’m definitely just trying to charm this guy and nothing else” anime, best way I could put it lol, but that’s not a bad thing at all imo, I thought Mona’s pursuit of Medaka in her own way made it a different kind of experience for a romcom, it gave us situations where Mona would actively push things further just for the sake of making Medaka like her, and I was a big fan of that, nothing wrong with a bit of fanservice either which I appreciated. And man I can’t praise the show without taking about episode 11’s climax, I think Mona reacting to her own reflection was so well done, I was never one of the people that disliked Mona but I can appreciate the character growth there, and this is another reason I’m glad a Season 2 is coming, so we can see this new Mona who is aware of herself, and not just her, but the rest of the cast too, I’m especially craving more Asahi content. But yeah, despite all the hate this got all the way back on week 1, I thought this was a cute and fun show, it may not have been the craziest romcom ever but I still really enjoyed it, this genre is my bread and butter after all, even if it’s on the simple side at this point in the story I can still find reasons to love it. OP and EDs were all good too, I kinda wish they never changed the ED but both were fitting for the show, that little dance in the OP was cute too despite it not being the best looking dance ever lol. And now I wait for Season 2, in the meantime hopefully some other good romcoms come our way! |

I don't know about anyone else, but Mona freaking out because he accidentally brushed her hand is the PERFECT ending to this Season/Show. She can charm any guy, but REAL feelings are still a bit much for her. Tomo convulsing with laughter realizing it was icing on the cake. The show might not have been all that great, but this was probably one of the best episodes. |

My favorite part of the finale was that running animation at the very end of the episode. I haven't laughed that hard in this series since Mona's, "Pretty," song in the first episode. So, I enjoyed the first several episodes of this one decent enough, but the more it got into the typical RomCom stuff, the more I lost interest. I thought it was better than several other series' I'm watching this season, but still quite middling in comparison to the season as a whole. I probably will not be watching the sequel as I enjoyed the first half of the season far more than the second half. I expect a sequel to feel much closer to that second half. Anyway, the elements I enjoyed slightly outweighed the ones I didn't, so I gave this a... Score: 5.39 |

Very good ending episode of a very good, funny series! Love... Medaka the Monk made Mona take the first step... Deity versus Mona versus Asahi: who will win Medaka? The officially announced second season, without a prevision to air, will resume the story, and I already am in! |

I came in to this show thinking I'd like it because I read a few volumes. I started to realize the issue people were having with the main character and could see why it wasn't liked. Despite that, I still found enjoyment in it. And honestly I really enjoyed what Kawai realized by the end and how it changed the way she was around Kuroiwa. And I loved the talk between her and Shonan and how they are basically friendly rivals. So honestly I think the show did alright in the end. But even I am shocked as hell to hear a second season is already been announced. |

I was going to criticize the slow pace of the final episode, but I see it already got S2 announced, so stopping the plot at this point makes sense. This is far from the best rom-com ever, but it wasn’t bad either, so I’m down to watch S2!! It dragged a little, but the characters for the most part were likable, and I also liked the character designs. So I give it 7/10 and now that war has been declared, maybe it will get ever better. |

1:00 Last time I get to enjoy this catchy OP π₯² 9:00 Mona declaring war with Asahi! ππ» 17:37 pantsu! ππ» 18:56 this is exactly what Hina envisioned her life would be like if she went out with Taiki in Blue Box π₯² 21:30 damn Mona has fallen for Medaka so hard now like Asahi at first π€£ My 10th Winter 2025 anime finished! Wow, this was such a freaking great anime man. And I called it too. As soon as Asahi finally entered, it was all over man. She stole the show and instantly became best girl. I knew it. Her being voiced by Amamiya Sora makes it all the more better. Obviously I just like this plot to begin with. Medaka resisting Mona’s moves and she ends up falling for him ironically. I am gonna miss that OP. The dance part is the best at the end. So catchy. Happy this was the 2nd Winter 2025 anime song I liked and learned the lyrics to this season. Also, SEASON 2! ππ» always gotta love it whenever as soon as one season finishes, the next is already announced! Let’s go! More Asahi vs. Mona over Medaka! Can’t wait! |

I'm glad that this is getting a 2nd season since this season ended with a feeling like things are really just getting started now that Mona has admitted to herself that she loves Medaka. Regarding Asahi, I liked her reaction when Mona told her about falling for Medaka and that Asahi will try harder. Overall I liked S1 and I thought it was a good watch but I'm still curious to see what Medaka will do regarding his situation with aiming to be a monk and him apparently not supposed to think about or hang out with girls. So with S2 being official I'm looking forward to seeing how this series continues to play out. 7/10 |
