Well looks like Yui managed to say it to her friends but the couple didn't manage to announce it to the group.
The interruption was also a funny moment tho.
It was a nice anime but i would have liked to see a bit more, maybe we will get something else from this but who knows.
But it was nice seeing the characters like this and it was relaxing to watch.

Well, looks like fate decided it was time. So happy they’re finally getting more open about their relationship, makes me love these goofy idiots even more lol. Can’t believe there was a time when people actually thought Somei was gonna NTR the main couple lmao.

Now look at my boy, man not only got himself a girlfriend, but she’s literally the boss of Tateishi's whole damn department. Absolute chad behavior. Just virgin Somei proving once and for all that being a chad ain’t got nothing to do with virginity.

Anyway, their backstory and how they got together was sweet as hell. Solid way to end things too. Easily my romance of the season, came outta nowhere man. Sucks that no big Western distributors picked it up, so it kinda stayed under the radar, but at least it got some love. We take those.

The most important flashback of the season!

But really, seeing how Mitsuya and Tateishi first met and connected from then was the first steps to their relationship. Looking back and remembering those memories are important to the pair too. I think this was an enjoyable show overall, at least for a rom-com. Obviously, both the main leads had their character strengths and flaws. Got to see how they would interact with others while hiding their relationship. It's what it is and didn't have to really do too much else. This ended in the most fitting way possible with the title being said out loud. What a journey.

Wow, who would've thought that Somei would take the chance to confess his secret office romance (while leaving Hayakawa out of the picture for obvious reasons), Masugu and Yui will have another day to tell of their tale.

Welp, to have both Somei and Hayakawa found out by Masugu and Yui, though them being an item is not far off from work in the office. But to have Yui be the one actually being transferred to the PR department, Masugu got worried for a moment, instead, everything's fine with her, even her coworkers Shizuno and Chiharu knowing the matter, but they couldn't bear to see her leave them. In the end, even having to reveal her office romance, they are at least happy for her, even already knowing what went down even before the secret was out.

To see the evolution of Masugu and Yui's relationship turn from hate to love, from coworkers to lovers, it's imaginable that they would start from being just distant department cohort workers to then test the ground to close the distance between them in their own ways...to start their own secret relationship. It's just so sweet of the memories they made since that day.

No sweat, this is the WotaKoi standard, going above and beyond for the 2020s. Such a great office romance show.

Can’t believe Masugu and Yui gone like that. The manga will be seeing me. One of the greatest romance series ever. Very few authors just get people like this one does, every episode felt like watching a real couple just figuring out this life shit!

Perfect finale, really did everything I’d want to see. Yui and Masugu finally told the people closest to them they’re dating, Yui got her promotion and we got to see how she and Masugu got together! Such a sweet ending but I’m sad it’s over 😭

It’s so funny that we all thought Masugu was getting transferred out because of his bookkeeping exam score and turns out it’s Yui getting the promotion to public relations. It sucks that she’s getting split up from her best friends, but everyone’s got so close over the course of this season that a little distance won’t break em.

Seeing how our main couple got together was dope too, we missed that since they’re dating at the start of this season, but their relationship started as cute as it was to watch. “Who knew behind that first step, such a smile would be waiting on me” I love them so much awwwww thank you for rocking my world. I’ll be reading the manga, I would’ve liked to have seen more Somei and Hayakawa in this finale but other than that very happy.

The days of when Yui was an actual tsundere to Masugu instead of a pretend one were gold, not to mention her friends' reactions being split down the middle between "No way!" and "Thought so" to the news.

Yui's thank you note being for both her former team and the audience was such a sweet final frame. This show really raised the bar for office romances imo.

Wow we finally say how the confession happen. They even opened up to some of the closest people from work.

The romance between Yui and Masugu was a great and I can say that even if sometimes they act like highschoolers, the anime had great romance overall.

Curse you misleading cliffhangers. Yui and Masugu didn't go public with their relationship in the campfire. But Somei did give the hint of dating Hayakawa to Masugu. Later they got caught by the two, which led to Masugu spilling the beans about his relationship too. And then Yui told her two friends about her boyfriend too. So, I guess the cliffhanger wasn't THAT inaccurate. Still, I kinda wish we got better reactions out of Hayakawa. What did she think about Tateishi dating Mitsuya? Did it surprise her? Guess we'll never know.

One of the cast was going to be transferred. Yui being the one to be transferred was a twist. Thankfully she's still in the same building. Her leaving her friends to work with new people is a little emotional. But it could've been worse. At least she's happy with it.

Finally, they showed us how Yui and Masugu started dating. That was good stuff. Yui imagining herself with Masugu at the wedding was wholesome. I wonder when the two would get married. They make such a good pair.

Ah, man. The series is finally over. It's probably my second favorite romance series of this season after Blue Box. If it was longer it might've been the first. Who knows. The manga is already complete. So, it's a no-brainer to make another season. But it doesn't seem like there was any announcement. This could be one of those projects that never gets a sequel. That makes me very sad. I wish the series wasn't screwed over by having no Western distributor. Why didn't it get one? I think there's an official English translation of the manga (albeit it seems to be digital only which sucks). So what happened? It was genuinely really good. I'd love to watch a 2nd season of this. I really hope it happens one day.

What a great story! This is a 10 for me, especially for an anime about work and a relationship. It is so well done; I really enjoyed it.

And also, Somei and Hayakawa. Yeah... I wanted more from them, but like in My Senpai is Annoying with Sakurai and Kazama, the 2nd couple is easily one of the best stories inside the main story but we don't get to see how much more it evolves.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Why am i crying when the episode is finished😭

10/10. This show is my comfort zone, can't say the adaptation was perfect because they skip a LOT of chapters and some of the characters.

But hey, they still did a good job. Getting an anime adaptation itself is such a blessing for manga reader like me. Hands down one of best romance anime.

Season 2 maybe, please🥹

Yeah, a pretty "okay"i-shfinale.

While not the anime that capturated the world, it was still a nice way to start the week.
I liked the relationship between Mitsuya and Tateishi – arguably one of the most non-toxic in anime history.
An honest, sincere relationship in which both value and appreciate each other.

Office anime sometimes tend to be a bit more tame ("365 Days to the Wedding", which I found inceredibly boring), but even such quieter stories have their place. Romcoms don't always have to be full of panicked screaming. 😅

Since the manga has already ended, I'm not even trying to build up expectations for a second season. I think this is the last time we've seen Mitsuya and Tateishi – though we can now let them out into the world with a sense of peace and leave them to their fate. 💍

Love when romance anime save the best for the last. From first episode I wanted to see how thier relationship developed. Showed few moments but saved the whole story for the last. Tsundere Yui in the past was such a delight and Masugu having the courage to take the step and confess was so sweet. After many doubts they did indeed came together.

Perhaps the worst way couples could have shared their relationship. Somei and Masugu knew but Hayakawa and Yui's reaction was hilarious.
While I expected both of Yui's friends to be aware, well atleast one was and other was way too excited.
Masugu worried about transfer but it's Yui who got it. But she likes so it's good but it was sad to see her friends reaction. Both of them are really great friends and specially U-chan is really cute.

For a sudden I thought it will be a rush ending with wedding but thankfully it wasn't. I want to see that but not now atleast let us in hopium with a S2. Please give S2 it deserves more than anything cause-
These are two are PERFECT.

And I want more...

8.5/10
(Minus Hyakkano which is an unfair comparison) Easily the best romance of the season. Cute simple story and adults acting like adults. Somei and Hayakawa was cute aswell. But again Yui 2nd best waifu this season. And again Masugu & Yui are such an amazing pair♥️

The end of the road for my favorite work romance. YES, BETTER THAN WOTAKOI OR ANY OTHER ROMANCE WORK ANIME!

Looks like they found about Somei and Hayakawa's relationship. Im glad both Mitsuya and Tateishi are more open about their relationship.
Also I was really confused on the second half, were they attending a wedding or were they attending THEIR wedding? Anyway, the back story as to how they started dating was cute! And lastly, the title drop at the end of the episode. Will definitely be reading the manga, 8.6/10

In the end, they were able to tell their friends about their secret relationship, although some of them already knew 😅.

The flashback where Masugu asked Yui out was such a sweet moment. They’ve come so far in a relationship that seemed like it wouldn’t have much of a future, given that they work in the same environment. It really shows what a great couple they are. And it’s not just them—Somei and Hayakawa were super cute together too.

I’m not sure if the manga continues, since this ending felt like it was missing something. But with that little fake-out, making it seem like Masugu and Yui got married, I really wish there’d be another season. It was such a great office romance anime, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Nice to see that Yui and Masugu managed to tell a few people about their relationship so certainly some nice progression to wrap the show up. Overall this was a very good show it didn't stray from what it was and had overall a good plot.

I think it heavily benefited from only having 4 main characters as the focus being Masugu, Yui, Somei and Hayakawa. All four of them were unique and lovable in their own ways. I find it funny that this show worked backwards from any anime I've seen before starting with the relationship and ending the show on the confession. Definitely a unique way to do things but it worked out great.

We don't usually get many adult romance anime or ones which have a proper relationship in them so this was a treat to watch. Overall a very relaxing and fun show with a small but fun cast of characters.

Good stuff! Not going to lie, the "mature" themes was what surprised me about the show first and I'm glad it continued to deliver not just on that but other aspects pretty effectively too, lol.

I wish we could've gotten some more on Hayakawa-san and Somei-kun but I guess we did see a fair bit already so I can't really complain there.

7:00 wow, Yui was the one who got transferred instead of Tateishi 🤣 interesting turn of events

11:00 Yui so cute here steaming and blushing 🤣🤭

15:00 I know they’ve shown us little scenes before, but they’re really just showing us now in the season finale the full story of the both of them before they started dating? 🤣

17:36 wait, that lady in the purple looks like Yoshida’s boss, Goto, from Higehiro 🤣

My 9th Winter 2025 anime finished! Man you gotta love these office romances man. More mature, but still wholesome and heartwarming youth love 🙏🏻 Yui and Tateishi are such a great couple. Souei and Hayakawa too 🤭 definitely up there with the other office romance animes like Wotakoi, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, My Tiny Senpai, and 365 Days to the Wedding 🙌🏻 I would rewatch this again.

And honestly, I am for keeping a relationship secret and private 👍🏻

This is honestly the best and most heartwarming office romance anime I have ever watched, I am so sad that its the end and the final scene made me cry. Its sad to know that this wont get a season 2 because from the ending it seems like the story of Masugu and Mitsuya is complete and they will continue dating.

I loved this show! I will miss it 🥲

As much as I would like to see more progression, this doesn't look like something to get a second season. It doesn't look like such a progressive show to introduce very significant development. But it's ok. There are many shows to watch. And if we get a second season, let's hope that it's at least as good as this one.

First of all, I just have to say, I'm so so sad that it's over... this one really came out of nowhere for me, and it ended up making my Mondays and Tuesdays suck a lot less. Masugu and Yui really are That Couple, and I'm so happy that we got to spend so much time with them.

Personally, I got almost everything I wanted from this final episode. Most importantly, Yui finally got to tell her best friends about her relationship, and it was just as sweet and wholesome as I could have imagined it would be.
I also loved getting to see our couple all dolled up and going to a wedding... was anyone else imagining them in the future, when they get to that point? It was so cute the way Yui was hugging Masugu's arm on their way back.
In other news, Somei and Hayakawa were totally busted, but I loved how it was handled. And hearing Somei just gush about his girlfriend at the campfire was so!!! so!!! cute!!!

And I also loved how we got more background on how Yui and Masugu's relationship started!

Have I mentioned I'm really going to miss these goobers?
Taking a look back, it's just so lovely to see how their relationship developed over time, and how much it took for both of them to take that first step, together.

I really feel like this show is so rare, even in terms of adult romances, and I'm really glad I could come here every week and see all of you getting excited about it, too. While I don't think it was something most would consider "groundbreaking", what it did with its subgenre, and the way it subverted so many expectations and tropes (in the best ways), makes it really really important for this subgenre. One look at my profile should tell you that I also adore high school romance, but when I watch an adult romance, I really want to see the characters behaving like adults.

I was never able to articulate this feeling properly until now, but so many other adult romances work in a way that has the characters still behaving like high schoolers, and so we still get all of the usual high school tropes with that, just with a change of scenery. But that never happened with KonoKaisha! I think most people will agree that these characters really felt like adults navigating adult life all the way through, so I really have to praise this show for that.

Anyway, here are my final Yui photos for the week, for those of you who have been checking them out! It was really fun doing this (almost) every week! If I find another romance show that I really enjoy screenshotting, I'll be around again~
Goodbye to Yui and Masugu, the rest of the cast, and this wonderful, wonderful, show! ♡

A relatively nice ending.

I would have preferred that they told us how Masugu and Yui got together early in Episode 3 or even in Episode 6.

The English title is off. It should be 'I have someone I like at work' because crush implies you fancy a person but you're not (yet) together.

So in the end, they told most people. It was kind of funny how they just kind of revealed it to make it less awkward for Somei and Hayakawa. A surprising twist with Mitsuya though. The whole season she had this dream to create her own products, but in the end, she's transferred to HR. Perhaps this is just a Japanese work culture thing, but I found it kind of strange. But she was OK with it, but I'm not really sure why. The position seemed kind of vague, so I'm not sure what she'll be doing. But she seems ok with it, so I suppose she's matured in a way.

The last 7 or so minutes felt a little jumbled, with the random jumps and flashbacks. I don't mind the idea of going back and revealing the beginning of their relationship though.

All in all, I really enjoyed this one. I looked forward to it every Monday, it made the beginning of the week just a little easier. It was a charming, grounded, believable romance that didn't have any of the high school nonsense and melodrama, all while having the benefits of it being an adult relationship. I'd like to see a continuation, just to see where their relationship goes. Thanks for everything, Mitsuya and Masugu!

This has been a great slice-of-life office romance. I appreciate how that even though this is a romance there was just enough office drama to keep things fresh.

Another thing I appreciated was how the two MCs weren't afraid to get intimate, as is proper with two consenting adults. Often romances are set in high schools and the MC couple are so awkward with each other the entire season can go by without them even kissing. It was even quite tasteful without needing to get bawdy.

All together I think this has been the best romance of the season, even though Honey Lemon Soda is trying to close the gap with it's latest episode.

Dont get me wrong, i enjoy Anime with characters of any age. But in the last 15 years i feel there are too many school animes and Isekais. It felt good, seeing a adult romance as a adult. Now, want to see a couple raising kids lol.
Jokes aside, i really loved this, it felt wholesome along the way and i really loved also the side romance. Would love a S2, but probably this will be one of those that we will never get it. Fun and wholesome ride.
