90% of MAL's traffic is from phones, and only 10% from PCs, which I find crazy. I only use my phone as an alarm clock and to call my favorite pizzeria.

Since people prefer to browse the internet with phones, do they also watch anime on their phones? What device do you mostly use to watch anime: phone, PC or a TV?

Laptop = vote for PC
Tablet = vote for phone

As much as I phonepost I just cannot watch anime on a small screen, it's just such a bad experience.
So laptop screen it is.

PC connected to TV is how I roll. That's how I'm typing this message right now. Sitting at a desk to play games or watch anime sounds awful.

oh btw, you phone people? yeah... you're ruining everything. Please go away.

PC gaming monitor screen.

I also barely use the cellphone, the statistic about 90% of MAL traffic coming from those abominable devices surprises me.

I don't even own a smartphone from which to access the internet and never have done so (no plans to either). And unless I bought and hooked up some fancy equipment to connect my computer to my TV so that whatever is displayed on my computer monitor can be displayed on my TV monitor, I would only normally be able to watch regular TV broadcast programming on my TV, which, for anime, would be just the few available series dubbed into American English which I'm not interested in.

Therefore I watch it exclusively on my laptop computer, on which I keep running Windows 7 and typically access it, this website, and various other things on the internet by way of a Firefox browser (also have Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Tor for different purposes when and as needed). I do have a few anime films on burned DVDs, which of course I could also watch on the computer whenever using since it has a disc tray and drive, but also could and would be more likely to watch on the TV my DVD player is hooked up to in that case.

I rarely access MAL by anything other than my laptop computer and the only times not would be when my computer is in the repair shop and I use a secondary older desktop computer.

Laptop primarily.
Used to use a tablet before I had a laptop.
Use phone to watch anime at university or when I am feeling lazy.
Watch on TV very rarely when I have to watch a movie.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

You call a pizzeria? What is this, the 90s? And I'm in the same boat, phone is for alarms, phone calls and 2FA.

I mainly use my TV, even though it's attached to a PC. Rarely on a computer screen if I watch it alongside doing something else on the other screen.

i cast whatever I am watching on my laptop to my television with google chromecast. So anything I am watching on my laptop screen I can watch on my television without having to plug in any cords and can still use my computer for things.

Yeah, ordering through a 3rd party app is more expensive over here than ordering directly through a phone call.

Phone, Tablet, and TV.

Phone whenever I'm not home such as school or other activities, TV is when I watch anime at night, and my tablet is during the day when I'm home and not playing games.

I've never watched any anime on my phone -- everything's either on my PC monitor or TV. Though I do find it funny that anime viewers who complain about issues with apps on legal streaming sites are perfectly willing to directly connect their PC/laptop to their TVs to use illegal streaming sites that have no apps at all.

Everything that connects to MAL

At first I used to watch anime on the big TV in the living room but later I learned that not every show is compatible with people walking in and seeing what's on the big screen lol

I moved to my PC then

If I wanna get like cozy in my bed under the covers I'll watch it on my phone tho

I go on Mal on my phone when on the move or on the shitter (literally rn I'm pooping and posting this) and on my PC when yeah I'm on my PC

Unfortunately my TV doesn't know how to handle subtitle files natively so I can only play hardcoded subs. It also is a hassle to find the USB port on my TV so it's very rare I use the TV to watch anime.

Originally I was watching with my laptop and desktop but lately only phones and my tablet because that is easiest to access and walk around with and my laptop isnt that much bigger and also has hard drive issues and my desktop isn't really mine and not where i can use it often.

I think people using MAL on their phones are doing so because they are probably updating their list while the show is still playing on another monitor. Using a separate device is more convenient sometimes for scenarios like that.

laptop is versatile, phone screen is way too small for reading subs. i have pc too, but I've gotten so used to laptops, that watching shows on big screen like that feels weird

I use the TV via PS4, Switch, Chromecast and I've even used my Emuelec Console (not very enjoyable viewing).

No to laptop, as I'd have to have it plugged in constantly, as either the battery or the battery life sensors are majorly wrong with it.

No to phone also, although I have watched Anime on phones in the past, just not anymore.

Back in the days, I used to watch anime either on my phone or on a TV screen, but nowadays, I'm using my laptop to watch something most of the time. It's still possible to watch anime either on my phone or TV. I'm currently watching YYH on my phone, because I have a VPN app on it, so I can watch YYH on Crunchyroll, just to have a better quality visually. If I'm watching anime on TV, it's because something interesting is being broadcasted. Mostly it's going to be shown on Pro7Maxx, a free TV broadcaster, which broadcasts interesting anime series from time to time, like Trigun, The Vision of Escaflowne and even Goblin Slayer II, when it was airing. So you were able to watch something with Japanese subs on German TV.

Pc monitor > laptop > phone

TV is actually the best but it's in the living room and I don't have one myself, so yeah only when nobody's home I can safely watch anime on the TV.

I wanna lie down while watching also I want to keep my privacy(not allowing anyone else to see what I'm watching). Phone is probably the only one that meets the criteria without modifying anything in my house.

I sometimes watch in the PC. depends on what I'm watching
