I only watch sub now, in the early days i only did dub unless i could not find a dub then i watch sub.
Slowly it went to fully subs now, like the original voices better.

Dub is for losers who despise the very country that produces the shows they watch

I watch older anime in dub, but newer anime in sub because I'm too impatient

Yes, only with the original audio. I'd rather not to watch an anime than watching it dubbed.

These kinds of threads always scary me, do people really like watching anime?
"I watch dubbed because I want to do something else while I'm watching anime"

Can't you guys spare 20 minutes and actually watch the show?

If you're a fanboy, please don't waste my time.

Watch more movies, please.

Well, in my case, It's mostly attributed to anime I've watched in the early days. Examples like Pokemon, where they call the main character Satoshi in the sub instead of Ash, had me dreading the sub. I watch modern day anime in subbed like 100% of the time, because i did not have any attachment with an english cast.

I watch in the language of the country where the show is from, if its Japanese then Japanese. If its Chinese then Chinese.

No actually I was a 100% dub watcher but recemtly I started watching a few anime in subs such as Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop which became one of my favourites. Bebop's dub is said to be great but I didn't liked it much.

I mostly subbed and some dubbed. Sometimes I flip flop when watching one anime. When I watched Kill La Kill, I started the first couple episodes with subs then watched the rest of it dubbed.

sub 100%. In my opinion female english va's sound way too cringe because they try to imitate the seiyuu's that have very high pitch voices thus making them sound like they are on cocaine

Remember: Sub>>>>>>>>>>Dub ALWAYS. People's opinions and preferences on this don't matter lmao. It's a Japanese show so watch it in Japanese, dubs ruin everything, the characters don't sound the same and we don't feel the same. I've had animes with dual audio and sometimes I watch some part with sub and then dub, the difference is huge, you don't feel the same way after hearing the Jap Seiyuu and then the Eng one. True there are some dubs of animes which are great but those are rare. Watching in subs is the only way to watch anime majority of the time.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.

I haven't watched dubbed anime in ages. Not since I first started watching anime. Even now when I go back and try to watch the few dubs I do still like, they sound pretty cringy in comparison to the original (even the supposedly the "best" ones). Dubs simply don't capture the emotions like the original, and always end up sounding pretty forced, rushed and fake. And I don't think it's even the fault of the voice actors (despite their typical "English dub" sing-song speech pattern). It's not possible to cram English translated lines into the same time frame of a Japanese line and still manage to get the pace, meaning, tone and emotion right.

Yes, local dub is amateurish. English dub is pretty weak in comparison with original so it don't bother me since I am not native English speaker.

I prefer dub when acceptable. By that, I mean the dub needs to be at least a similar quality to the sub or better. I rather just listen and watch than read and watch, but more often than not the dub is too bad to stand. There is also a part of me that believes there is a beauty to hearing something in it's intended language, but I do not care that much. Off the top of my head, I watched Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Pokemon dubbed (and it was my choice). Edit: I also watched Death Note and Evangelion dubbed.

If a dub is available then I will watch it as then I can multi task, Play Games, Eat, Chat Online and etc.

However if a dub does not exist/is behind I am more than capable of watching it subbed.

I Value my time, so if there's a chance I can be multitasking then I will take it.

I watch in the original Japanese dub with no subs. Most series I watch are easy to understand anyway.
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

Haikyuu is my favorite anime, and I watched the first couple of seasons in dub a few times. Loved it.

Though usually, I despise Dub with a passion. It genuinely ruins my day

I actually watch dub most times. I've watched plenty in sub, though, either because the show doesn't have a dub (Banana Fish or, at the time, Odd Taxi) or because the dub is terrible (Haikyuu, GTO).

Sub or raw, dubs are for scrubs xD. Ghost stories is the only anime I prefer the dub over the sub/original. I'll admit when I first started watching it didn't matter as much but after awhile the dub VA's got on my nerves and made more than a few shows unwatchable, also after learning Japanese I realized they change the script quite often in English dub never usually in a good way.

Tanoshii Muumin Ikka, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Digimon Tamers/Data Squad etc.

Later Digimon dubs are much better than the earlier ones, but they still ruined the soundtrack. Death Note and Cowboy Bebop are good though. I'd also add Samurai Champloo and Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex.
