Episode felt rushed. Goddess seems rather desperate to defeat the hero at any cost at this point.

Fight itself was underwhelming and there was little doubt that Lugh would survive. But hey, at least they gave us almost a full scope of what Lugh is capable of up to this point in the anime.

The Goddess has enough of the soul reincarnation games, and that's where we get the context of Lugh as her final experiment subject.

Dia's Swiogel Kingdom is in a state of arrear from the internal coup, and the Hero Lancer Setanta MacNess makes his appearance be known as one bloody hell of an OP heroic character that has Lugh, Dia and her father Dimor stunned to their knees.

At least he was sensible to challenge Lugh to a duel, with hence knowing HOW MUCH power the latter needs to defeat the former to attest their differences in power. Talk about truly putting the assassin's powers to the absolute limits...that Lugh literally had to one-shot him with a nuclear strike, the "rods from God" lols. It's overkill, but its necessary to take the Hero down with all the planning Lugh has done from then, that as a result, he just barely survived that ordeal.

Mission assassination failed, and Dia resides in the Tuatha Dé as the little sister in perfect disguise (because she and Esri were once the same bloodline). The twist with the Hero was unlikely though, and I'll just stick to the manga version of the LN to know more events down the road.

The finale really lived up to the hype of being the best of Rui Tsukiyo.

Coming from the last episode, Lugh has saved Dia and everything seems to be fine for a while until the final boss appeared in front of Lugh who looks incredibly strong and Lugh has no other choice but to face him. Of course, Lugh was going to win that fight. But, damn he was strong. The goddess was suspicious there. The kiss was sweet. Good final episode.

Overall, let's talk about the show itself, Was it remarkable or anything that blew me away? No. Was it bearable for an Isekai? Yes. Have I seen much more horrible Isekais than this? Absolutely (this season was full of it, and every season always has Isekais no matter what). Let's not go as far as to compare it with Mushoku Tensei but let's just say, it was alright. Started off with a different feel, ended up going on to the generic Isekai route which is fine, I guess. If it gets another season, I'll love to see something different.

Tsukio Rui is a GOD btw. This man deserves all the love. His marketing strategy actually worked. Nice!

Confirmed the death of the reincarnation candidate in the plan to stop the destruction of the world. Soul recovered. Cancelled the memory erasure process. Summoned to the world preservation system. It was an intense fight between Lugh and Satenta. Maha mentioned that the artifact was called Game Borg. And Satenta is likely Yuusha.

Ofc, Lugh won the fight even though he was injured. And yeah, it was all done by Lugh just because of a promise with Dia, hmm... And yeah this is Dia flag and also really like that kiss....

Abandoning identity and disguised as a little sister? Hmm... Uwooo and yah she's just appear on the last scene, she was Epona.... An boring anime 5/10

This episoden was better than I expected but it felt rush a bit

Lugh defeated that berserk guy in 1 hit, indeed scary

Lugh kissed Dia, again but it wasn't awkward this time. I love their relationship

An average show overall. 5/10

That wasn't an assassination it was an annihilation. Anyway Dia's safe and we even got a kiss. She even became Lugh's little sister. Was a nice finale and we finally got to see the hero too.

Was an allright anime overall, won't mind watching another season if this gets one.

Great episode and I finally get to see some kissing scene of the two of them.
Well, if you can't kill the bug with a cannon, using nuclear would be perfect.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Wait that's it? Just a hit from that tungsten spear, and even though Lugh too got caught up in that blast, a few scratches and some drops of blood was all he got. Well what else can i say.

Getting a sequel someday wouldn't be surprising, as it's an isekai we are talking about.

Finale was boring for me (didn't care much for the whole Lugh-Dia dilemma and relationship over the past couple episodes including this finale and the kiss there), but the little bit at the end with introducing the hero and the fact that there's still a lot to go with the goal progress shows that a season 2 would be on the cards for some point. Isekai series can get season 2s fairly easily (with a few exceptions) and I think this will get one at some point.

This show was about the same level of quality and enjoyment as Redo of a Healer for me from the author, so not that high rated to say the least. Got worse as time progressed too. Fair play to the author though for making 2 of his series have anime adaptations in the same year and them not be flops when it comes to the attention at least. But the works aren't my thing, whether its a crazy, out of control revenge porn like Redo of a Healer or this assassin isekai series. Not much to praise about the storytelling, characterization and entertainment value in this series since nothing really is there to it. This sucked and feels pointless too.

Lol the strat with the giant ass explosion wasn't too bad actually, and he saved Dia but seems like she'll live with him as his little sister (I doubt it would work, especially if they want to marry lol) but seems like it wasn't the hero and the real one (if it's true) appeared at the end, guess it will continue with another season... didn't like it much overall compared to how it started, it had potential but didn't develop much and did more fanservice/sexualization than anything else, though still not bad but forgettable show for sure, 5/10

Indeed the episode felt kinda rushed but, there were good sides to the episode like Dia living instead of being assassinated, the plot twist in the end when revealed that it wasn't the hero lugh killed. And sets up a perfect entry to season 2 revealing who the hero was post credits. And yeah isn't it technically sweet home Alabama now because Lugh and Dia are siblings now?

Or is it just me or does this anime kinda give me spirit chronicles type of vibes especially with the plot twist in the end in spirit chronicles post credits scene.

Despite all the shit this show’s been getting for its sometimes spotty writing, it was a good last episode. Obviously we know Lugh is going to come out that fight alive, but that didn’t bother me much. It was cool to see just how strong he is when he’s going all out.

I think overall it was a decent show. Not bad, but not great. I’m interested to see if it’ll get another season

Also uh check out those uncensored episodes when you get a chance 👀

That's was the fate of someone who wields Gae Bolg, who was annihilated by a missile from outer space.
Try to assassinate someone with those cannons and missiles. It's annihilation more than assassination. lmao. Lugh could destroy an entire country with those weapons.

Lugh definitely won't win in a duel so he incorporated his assassin skills and knowledge from his previous life to create that Space Gungnir-ish weapon, satisfying conclusion to the whole civil war fiasco

The Berserk dude is definitely not dead yet and will most likely be returning at some point. Him not be the Hero was also expected as that'd be too easy for Lugh

All-in-all this was enjoyable despite being pretty formulaic for the isekai genre, Lugh better be producing more weapons if he hopes to have any chance to assassinate the Hero

This was about as ridiculous as expected.

Overall a fine gap filler to a meal. 4/10 sounds harsh, but it was at least watchable, which can't be said about all shows.

I would've rate the show+episode lower if Setanta had been the real Hero because a whole season of build-up only to basically pre-determined one-shot him is disappointing. Thankfully Setanta wasn't the Hero, the real one is super cute.

7/10 show for me. I don't typically watch magic harem power fantasy type stuff, but the trailer drew me in. Some parts I were bothered/annoyed by, but overall the show entertained me. Looking forward to season 2 (there better be a season 2 with that kind of cliffhanger...)

Query - is there a reason that Lugh's father is able to say that the hero has appeared and that this means that the demon lord will also? It makes it sound like he knows the future/has spoken with the goddess, as I would have thought the 'hero' label was something which was only given to the person after they did something heroic, i.e. in the future? How does he even know there will be a hero/demon lord (unless the former is already established as such for doing other things - which might make sense, as the person at the end of the ep also introduced her as the hero).

I really liked the anime! I hope it has season two and it's soon next year.
I think the anime Goddess is plotting some plan for world domination or destruction. I think she will try to manipulate the Big Hero to make him look like a bad guy so Lugh will kill him, to make it easier for her to carry out her plan.

The finale was decent for what it's worth, but by this point my interest in this series have just simply fallen off almost entirely. Sad cause I tried having renewed hope in the series knowing that it was actually doing a really good job at adapting vol 1 of the source material. Sucks that the writing is neither tactful or nor creative enough even with the science aspects that was attempting to give it an edge. Doesn't help that the production quality was an absolute mess, especially with the jarring CGI and underwhelming fights. Considering it's a basic-level Kadokawa isekai power fantasy product that turned out not as unique as many people claimed it to be, it's getting season 2 despite no immediate announcement.

There's some good to decent stuff to be had, at least: The OP and ED visuals were the best things in the show, and the main female leads are actually decently written, imo; nothing remarkable, but they're enjoyable at least. Wasn't really into Lugh as a main protagonist at all, sadly.

Overall, this was very mediocre and wasted a number of chances along the way. On the bright side it's only volume 1 and perhaps the story will get better with time, but for now anime-wise, a disappointment for me, personally.

Safe to say as well, the aftereffects of the wonderful Mushoku Tensei anime have also set too high a bar for me nowadays.

The episode really didn't felt like a finale imo.. maybe because it was too fast paced that I just couldn't feel the tension..
That Missile Rod annihilation was badass tho.. loved that scene.. ofc it was a bit too fast but was still EPIC..

We really didn't got any huge plot twist and even the anticipated "Hero" just a Gae Bolg user.. kinda underwhelming.. it really feels like there is another episode because we didn't really got any big revelation besides the one that was kinda obvious..

Still, a good series all things through.. better than majority of other Isekai..
If Arifureta can get a season 2 then this really should..

Dia being taken in more ways than one is absolutely correct lol. The fake body trick while an old one is still pretty viable within the modern world. Still having another powerful assassin show up to derail the plan really added a lot of tension to the rescue. Didn't think the hero would show up this quickly though. The tungsten spear sure is the ultimate in terms of techniques that Lugh has. In the end at least he was able to rescue the girl that he loved and that was all that was needed for this mission. Overall a pretty fun finale that featured some nice action and heartwarming moments between Lugh and Dia though i did felt that the ep felt kinda rushed. But at least we know that s2 is on the way which is good news as this season established a solid foundation for Lugh and co to stand upon.

Lots of people are saying the ending was rushed but I actually thought it was well paced. The battle scene was cool and I loved the idea of him nuking the "hero." It was also nice to see a isekai protagonist actually choose a girl and kiss her by the 1st season. Dude might be an assassin but he's also a chad. The show stuck the landing and if a season 2 comes out I definitely watching it.

Suffice to say I was very impressed with this episode. The set up from previous episodes paid off here in the bout with the hero. Also I gotta say the hero pulling up was a huge upset that I enjoyed. Since there was political power struggle it's totally in the realm of possibility that he pulled up to settle things. I do have one concern; is this the end? It kinda looks like it but I'm hoping it's not cause if the final battle with the hero happened in this episode than that's rather disappointing. Hopefully it's not the end and the hero comes back with a vengeance and we get an epic show down with a second season.

Oh come on, you can't end it like that! What a cruel way to end the season by showing the hero at the last second. At least this series seems pretty likely to get a new season so that's nice.

The last fight, without really being a traditional fight, was pretty epic. The Kinetic bombardment was pretty awesome. RIP Setanta? That's the thing, I was waiting all the time for them to reveal that he wasn't dead but it looks like Lugh is pretty sure about it. I'm still not sure he's dead though.

And now it turns out he wasn't even the hero haha. I wonder what the Goddess's evil smile means...

The kiss was great. So not just one, but now Lugh has 2 sisters lol. Little sister 1, little sister 2 and maid... what a harem! xD.

Anyway, that's all for now. Quite a fun show that turned out to be different from what one would normally expect. OP was one of my favorites of the season. Hope we get a season 2.

I liked this anime more at the beginning up until mabe episode 6 when I would give it an 8/10 but now it kinda devolved to the fine category of 6/10. The last episode, as someone has already pointed out, felt rushed.

Rush part: The problem is the main villain came out of nowhere and was just bland. We never encountered people who could oppose Luig so it felt kind of out of place to just introduce and kill one of those people. The plan of killing him really did not have any foreshadowing and was just quickly explained after the fact, not counting the as there was the time counting stuff I felt no tension whatsoever. And the aftermath was just quickly brushed of and the real hero could have at least have a scene or brief dialogue; not just face showing.

All in all, above average isekai, but definitely not comparable to better ones such as Re:zero, Mushoku tensei, youjo senki, Grimgar, Bookworm, Konosuba....
‘It may be admitted that if it were possible for us to have so deep an insight into a human's way of thinking, as it shows itself both through inner and outer actions, that every, even the least incentive to these actions and all external occasions which affect them, were so known to us, then his future conduct could be predicted as certainly as the appearance of a solar or a lunar eclipse.’ Critique of Practical Reason, p. 230 of the Rosenkranz.
