| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- After a long filler arc, we're finally back to continuing with the manga @ Chapter 229! Twitter trending worldwide @ #1, what a formidable start to the new year. https://twitter.com/BlackClover_EN/status/1346410931094310914 #BlackClover_with_TREASURE Nice OP/ED there, as always (or rather, a fully K-Pop-ish OST this time). It shouldn't come as a surprise that Black Clover has great OSTs, and this pairing is no different. The contrast between the visuals for both OP/ED are comparable to the very 1st OP/ED. You have grown up boys. A timeskip after 6 months (that's the filler arc), and everyone has aged with new, striking character designs. And we finally get our very first look of Spade Kingdom, just as brutal as with any sacrificial kingdom faction (to which the Diamond Kingdom is one). Time to set the Spade Kingdom arc ablaze! Asta sure has buffed up A LOT, and with it, the once-in-a-blue-moon great animation to kick things off with trained Devil powers. Noelle and Mimosa sure got a good upgrade as well, and Finral being the same-old womanizer when he himself has a fiancee, HEH old habits never change. Of course, Luck and Leopold really are crazy beings at best to help secure ordinary Spade citizens on their way out back to whence they belong. "The Dark Triad" of Spade Kingdom...Asta will meet someone familiar (along with Dark Disciples Dante and Vanica). Can't wait for more action to come, and time to chase after the manga once again. Believe me, the half-year wait is worth it. |

| HYPE!!! Finally on to canon stuff, can't wait for the next epi New Asta is buffed up a lot, like it coz it suits his personality a lot just with they could remove the part of cloth on his chest which looks like its taped on his body |
| First of all, I loved both the op and the ed. Asta became even more buffed, I liked his old design more (his neck looks like "the wide neck guy" now). The animation of this episode was good. |

| Finally it's back adapting the manga chapters, this arc has been so much hype. Glad finally we'll get to see it animated. Right off the bat we get to see Asta kicking ass thou dang man his body's too buffed. Got used to it in the manga to the point I forgot he was buffed but uh well gotta get used to it in the anime now as well. New OP was one of the weaker ones in this anime and I think I'd rank it the lowest among all the 13 OPs so far. Thou I did like the new ED. |

| Finally the filler is over, at last. I liked the opening not really surprised there since I love most of the OPs of Black Clover. Asta's looks thicc af after this time-skip not gonna lie. Excited for what's in store for us in the future episodes! |

| Damn, this was some episode to start off proceedings for 2021! K-pop stans making the ED trending piqued my interest and it certainly delivered. Although I'm not sure if it's exactly as enlightening as many were suggesting. Op is fairly cool too, especially in the visual department. Positive first impression of new character designs for me but Asta with all that buff seems a little overdone, if I'm to be frank. Hopefully, I'll acclimatise to it in a few episodes or so though. And the action! Pierrot knows when and, most importantly, how to step up their game. Gee, that sequence of Asta unleashing his strike on the "leader" was quite something! Noticed a slight strange scene on the other battlefront for a few seconds though but it was trivial really. Pacing certainly didn't seem to be on the slow side too, I wonder what's the plan if my fear is indeed true. Devils 'bout to move to Stage 2? Oh hell yeah, I'm ready! |

If they'll going with the same pacing, they'll catch with the manga in 15 episodes and then, a LOOONG filler arc will be waiting us again. Black Clover has short chapters--15 pages. So it makes sense they could cover so much in one episode. But we'll see how they're going to adapt this arc, I'm pretty sure there'll be more fillers coming. Possibly after the major trio fights. |

| I like the ending song more this time around and it feels hella good that the anime is back to business. Asta looking juicy, but I still think that he should've been given at least average height. Well, maybe he will go through some last minute growth spurt. Funny Petit Clover too, how sweet of Mimosa xD |

| Personally didn't mind the filler episodes, they served a purpose and were alright in their own regard, and it was understandable why it was a thing in the first place. I'm just glad that I'm gonna stop seeing the same ol comments of 'lol boring filler' cause that got tiresome honestly. New looks will take some getting used to in some characters, but they're overall good, along with a kick ass first ep of this arc. Also hope Magna is alright, he wasn't there soooo gg. |

| I can only Imagine and Hope a Tall, Muscular, Handsome Asta but We'll never gonna get to see that. He looks like a Lite ver. of Yami now Anyways, it was a good Episode. Animation Improved a little compared to the last few episodes. Let's see what happens next. I wonder if they all become Senior 1st class knights or not. |

| Holy hell, Finally the Spade kingdom arc is here and boy is it hype as hell! I love the new OP and ED too much, Black clover always nails the OPs so not a surprise really. The animation also looks definitely better and everyone looks somewhat more mature now, Though Asta is Buffed af now. Proud of him so much! |

| Black Clover came back with a lot of action, Asta flying on the sword without being in demonic form caught me off guard. The animation was great, everyone grew up, even a little. |

| So how long is this supposed to time leap been? They got a year to prepare, somewhere before all the arcs got mentioned, so I suppose an entire year has passed now? |
| We're back! Thrilled for this arc. New growth on their character design is fantastic! I instantly loved it! They all look like they've aged during training and I'm hyped to see what they can do now! New OP and ED. I personally enjoy the ED more, but the OP is not bad though. Excited to see what comes next. |
| Black Clover is back, and did it with a bang. So much this episode is trending topic on twitter. And I'm glad they did, since filler is over and we finally start the Spade Kingdom arc. Animation and art were amazing, Pierrot sure knew to start the year with good foot, now let's hope the rest of episodes keep maintaining this good level, though I have my doubts. We got our main characters flexing, with Asta now looking like an absolute unit. I see some people are not fond of the design, but I like it, it reminds me of Yami a bit. Noelle and Mimosa new designs also look lovely. We get to see the Dark Triad in the anime. I like the voices of Zenon and Vanica (even if her voice actress took me completely by surprise) and I cannot wait to see them and Dante in action. Opening wasn't what I expected for this arc, but I love it. Given they also include certain characters that will not appear in the near future, I see they will adapt THAT part too. Anyway, the hype is real. Ending was a nice call back to the beginning of the manga, liked it too. |
