| I used to think that if I get a daughter I'd want to name her Nausicaä (from the manga, haven't seen the movie). The "ä" can confuse people though. It's a dieresis, not an umlaut as it is in the Scandinavian and German languages. Might add that one of the reasons I'd be ok with that name is that it's Greek, so it's at least part of a shared European culture. Greek names are already extremely common among non-Greeks. |
