DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice, we get to see more of Todoroki's past including a glimpse of his mother. Ofc, I think Todoroki's ice abilities are already impressive in this fight. Feels like he's going all out against Deku. Speaking of which, I think Deku really showed how he much he has improved as well despite taking some risky moves. Gotta love his determination despite fighting hurt. I think the episode also proves that Endeaver really is a dick, worst father in this series for the way he treats his family especially his own son. Felt terrible for Todoroki's mother as well. Todoroki's moment when he unleashed his fire side is dope! |

Izuku Midoriya vs Shoto Todoroki at last! And the struggle is intense, both outwardly on the battlefield and inwardly as we finally get a better glimpse into Young Todoroki's conflicted mind. Of his past with his mother. And it's all thanks to Deku! Who manages to show some impressive moves of his own! Enduring the pain while at the same time reminding Todoroki that he is his own person. You might say Deku manages to ignite the flame within Todoroki...literally and figuratively! :D Resulting in some incredible destructive power in a final clash! And when the dust settles it's...Todoroki moving on! |

| I was pretty excited for this episode since the mangaka commented that it made him cry because of how well they adapted his manga. This was fucking intense. Animation was beautiful and the OST was so on point. Deku is a madman and you know it. Man did his hands get messed up. And then Todoroki's backstory, damn it. OMG THE FIRE OMG THE FINAL IMPACT OMG OMG God tier animation, based Bones delivers again. I have to say, I was shaking from excitement after the final impact. |

| Fantastic & emotional episode. Deku vs Todoroki was amazing. DAMN Deku going all out & sacrificing his fingers & arm to win. And he still kept going. THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN!!! Todoroki's flashback was emotional. Endeavor is such an asshole making him train till he puked & driving his mother insane. Deku trying to save Todoroki no matter what. Todoroki finally using his left side was awesome. That fire looks great. You can be a hero!! That final clash was spectacular. Congrats Todoroki on making it to the next round. Deku you did amazing. Plus Ultra! |

| This was everything I was waiting for, oh my god. The fight was spectacular but I had been expecting that with the animator lineup and just how much they were advertising this episode. It was the flashbacks that really got me. It was definitely a lot worse seeing those scenes animated than just reading them (and they were already bad enough!). I eagerly await the blu-ray version of this episode so I can see it in its full glory (aka without the broadcast dimming). |

| This episode was the shit!!! That fight had me on the edge of my seat. It doesn't matter who wins or is stronger cause Deku is a true hero. He always puts others before himself and that's what makes him the winner in my eyes. Also, Endeavor is a sorry piece of shit. How is he even able to be a hero after what he did to Todoroki and his mom!? |

Great episode, I felt like I was experiencing this for the first time again because I forgot everything in this arc save for who wins the tournament. So, yeah, I read a lot of comments last week saying Midoriya vs Bakugo would be the final fight as it was predictable... :) |

| Goddamit that episode was the shit. It had absolutely everything I love about BNHA and then some: the animation, the emotions, the hype, the action... EVERYTHING. Much better than in the manga in my opinion, made me appreciate it more than Bakugou vs Uraraka. |

| Today we got Yutapon icecubes, Yutapon triangular prisms, and impact frames so perfect and outta nowhere I actually screamed. That ending explosion did not just decimate the stage, but also blew my mind to shit. If I'm gonna be honest here getting to see this fight animated is the reason why I even started watching BnHA in the first place |

| AMAZING EPISODE, I'M RUNNING ON MAD HYPE RIGHT NOW. PLUS ULTRA! Everything was flawless, outstanding adaptation of the fight, my god. I love how they used the different colors to point out the difference in damage when Deku was using One for All. The guy is a damn madman for sacrificing his body like that, especially when he used his mouth to fire of One for All on his last finger. Deku might be a madman with the way he recklessly uses his quirk but Bones are the real madmen, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT STUNNING ANIMATION? THE FLAME? THE ICE? THE ONE FOR ALL? THE FINAL IMPACT? THE EXPLOSION. See that, the ones with the real madness streak in them are Bones. Amazing, I can't even type out the amount of praise I have on how well they animated this episode. Very emotional episode as well, I knew last week when I heard Horikoshi cried on watching this episode that I was gonna end up a mess too and I'm not embarassed to say that I started tearing pretty early into the episode and had heavy eyes for almost the whole episode. XD I absolutely love how this episode brings out Todoroki's past and how his innate desire to be a hero was suppressed by Endeavour's selfishness. The episode also shows why I love Deku so much, despite his precarious situation, in all that pain he was in, he was still trying to save Todoroki from hating half of himself, he wanted Todoroki to embrace himself and his power and break free from Endeavour's shackles. The reference to All Might "I'm here" and the significance behind those words was great. That being said one of my favorite parts of this is when Deku yells "It's your power". Always makes me cry. Deku carries a true heroic spirit, trying to save people no matter what. T.T Oh and Todoroki's flashback was also really emotional, I love how they incorporated it into the various parts of the fight switching back and forth. Well, it was done in the manga as well but the presentation here was great. THAT TRANSITION TO 'YOU SAY RUN' WITH TODOROKI'S FLAMES WAS JUST EPIC. I started screaming like crazy. Love how it started from the flashback showing Todoroki telling his Mom that he wanted to be a hero. Soundtrack usage was stellar as always. The final impact was way too epic. Deku might have lost but he was a true hero, Todoroki moves on to the next battle after perhaps learning to slowly accept his fire half. Good luck to him! PLUS ULTRA! |

What a fantastic fight, damn! My boy Todoroki has shown once again how much of a badass he is, but also Deku has done a superb job. I just loved this fight in the Manga, glad to see them doing it justice. His backstory was also very interesting and gave the final touch to this flawless episode. 5/5 |

| I was already hyped the whole week just waiting for this episode. It went above and beyond! This is one of the best fights I've ever seen. My hype was maxed out from the second the fight started to the very end. I knew this was going to be an exciting episode but I didn't expect to cry lol. This seems like a big turning point for the series now. I wonder what All Might's going to say to Midoriya. Poor Midoriya's mom, she's probably drowning in her own tears. |

| Such an intense moment I ever watched but more relevantly, it was really bad that between Shoto and Midoriya would have caused lot of damaged in Sports Festival Stadium after we see Midoriya is out of bound. At least we know he's crazy and I don't like how Endeavor shouts because it's stupid and more like 'dotting father.' Considering the fact I felt bad for Shoto's childhood and I don't wanna say it that much, because it makes me wanna cry but no, it didn't happen. I'm now getting really curious what's going to happen in the next episode but there is preview after the credits in case.  |

| Horikoshi's comment this week in the Shonen Jump Author Comments said that he was blown away by how this was adapted, and I have to agree with him. It's been a while since I read this in the manga so I was pretty much seeing this for the first time again, but holy shit Bones, good fucking job. Everything was on point, and the animation at the end of the fight when their attacks clashed was nothing short of amazing. Very well done, good effort by Deku but he needs to control his Quirk better if he wants to take on Todoroki. |
