| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oo, that was neat. I especially liked some of the way the OP song is done to showcase the prominent characters and especially Sinbad. The flashbacks are interesting but really not liking the way his family is being treated by others. I hope this show adapts as much as the manga as possible. So far, I think they're doing a decent job with Sinbad's characterization.  |

Sinbad's father (Konishi-san) is hero on the war, and he refused the money. lol @ 3 years old Sinbad, but knows the way in the storm. Showing the scene that he's been holding high in OVA... Showing how corrupted the world is separating rich and poor. Poor life, and meeting a person from outside, who caused Sinbad's curiosity about the world. He's actually a spy and the soldiers were searching for him. Father knows the pain going to the war, and that's why he just wished a peaceful life. He died because he was sent to war again. Continues to Ep.2, which is OVA 1. |

| I'm so happy they animated his entire early childhood and it was a good watch just as feelsy as I remembered it in the manga. Now the next 5 weeks is just recap of the OVAs which is fine by me. |

| This is the typical Act, Adv, Shonen anime that I liked the most. The first episode of Sinbad and his father really remind me of Luffy and Shanks relation, dark horse of the season. |

| Well, I hope that means since I'm watching on Netflix Japan they will have English subtitles unlike most of their stuff. EDIT: I checked. No english subs, only Japanese. So with netflix's VPN block that means no access to English subs. Sigh. |

| Man fukin Netflix fucking up the standard anime release pattern. Show comes out people get it subbed in a day but those fucktards make us wait like what 5 days. Fuck them I'll rather watch raw then pay for their shit I already read the manga anyway. Starting ep was great, Sinbad was my man since day 1 even tho now in the main series he fuking up a little I still like him. |

| Finally got to watch it subbed. Sinbad's dad really was great. RIP Badr. I think the fact his body was never returned will be a plot point in the future. The people of the village pissed me off, but really interested to learn more about the Parthevia Empire, which was mentioned quite a few times in the other Magi series. O.O |

| watched 1st episode from [Hatsuyuki] fine 1st episode of Sinbad when we was just a powerless child. so Reim empire is the one thats an empire which is currently strong... didn't like both OP & ED... 4/5. |
