It literally ended the exact same way the previous chapter did lol It looks as if it's now a two on one fight now. Didn't expect Dorothea to be that strong. Although she'll probably be fodderised next chapter anyway |

| Just realized it will be 2 parts like Chapter 52. The series will probably end next year, its impossible to see Esdease, Wave, Kurome, Onest and co get defeated in less chapters than Dorothea, Cosmina and Izou. No Tatsumi was very strange... |

Why would Takahiro dedicate a short ass chapter for Akame to fodderize a bunch of fodder that everyone already knew was fodder to begin with, only to end right where the previous chapter left off |
| This chapter had interesting information(got this from another from, from a guy that understands korean but wont share all of the info because he dislike whiners). Dorothea made alternations to her body, thats why she was able to overpower Leone. |

Leone better win next chapter by herself, it would be idiotic if she wins because Akame or Tatsumi help her.. |

| Yeah the chapter was short but Akame getting screen time is gonna make a few of her die hard fans happy. Regardless, I think of this chapter as a build up of Akame's skills since the plan is already that she cuts Esdeath with Murasame in order to kill her. The fact that Tasumi is missing is likely a build up for his battle with Cosmina in the next chapter. |
| Things are basically the same as when the chapter started. It feels like filler to be honest. Get this fight (which is far from a definitive one) done with. Wild Hunt are cannon fodder. |

| People suddenly bashing Takahiro because of the short chapter, yeah right, as if this is the first time that happened,Chapter 53 anyone? Calm down a little, this might be only a short break for him, it doesn't mean AgK is turning into Bleach, on the other hand we all know that AgK is on it's final track, so this might be thing. OT: Can someone actually give a good solo fight for Akame, she ALWAYS ends up with weak enemies and honestly I don't think Kurome can stand against her, maybe Wave because of the armor. Also great to see that Dorothea is actually strong, this turn out great. |

| I really HATE when Leone gets bested in a brute strength fight. For example, when Dorothea EASILY took her punch...Leone's imperial arm is supposed to be strength! But there are people who are just are strong and even stronger in brute physical strength. Exactly opposite for Akame who proved she has so much strength without her sword! I really liked that they did that "Even without an imperial arm...Akame is LETHAL" Yaaas |
| No one noticed how the expression in Akames eye changed when she found out Izou was the one that killed Lubbock? She used her trump card from the very start, and Izou couldnt predict her movement thus getting himself killed in the process. I believe the way it was portrayed how Akame is still lethal without Mursame means Murasame will be destroyed in the final fight. We are gonna get Akame vs Esdease instead of Tatsumi vs Esdease for the final fight imo. |

Yes, It's his teigu, it's still an armor but that doesn't automatically means it's impossible for Akame to win a fight against him, on the other hand we know nothing about Wave fighting abilities except that his Teigu is an armor. Also you can't just put the events of Esdeath/Budou and compare that as if the same would happen if she ever fights Wave, while he is strong, I doubt he's nearly as strong as them. We can't compare Akame to anyone since she never really fought someone on the same level as her or near, she only fought people who are god-tier who would make anyone look weak. She once had a "clash" against Wave but the main objective was getting in the cathedral so she,Mine and Lubbock never really wanted to fight Wave. She had a clash with Esdeath and Budou but those 2 are levels ahead from her, so she couldn't do much,.Aside from those, she never had a good fight. She's always cleaning weak enemies and because of that we can't get a clear vision of her power-level. It's funny how everytime the author makes Akame clean weak enemies he supposes that Akame is scarily strong but just that won't deal, we need to see her on a solo serious fight, in the previous chapter she killed off Izou as if he was a ant, but is someone convinced with that?NO. |

| Some basic fights with Akame and Leone but not Tatsumi. Hope the next chapter will be better than these two. |

| It wouldnt make any sense if the final fights are shorter than the current fights vs WH. The series is ending next year(at most pushing early 2017). Next chapter we better see Tatsumi fighting and slowly transforming into Tyrant(he gets his other eye turning red). |

They've been focusing on Tatsumi so much. I like that it was just Leone and Akame. He'll probably be shown defeating cockroach bitch next chapter. Akame will probably join him. |
| Short chapter, and nothing really happened, but I'm always enjoying Akame's fights. It's a real shame MAL only allows 10 favourite characters to be displayed, she was kicking ass even without Murasame. Chapter was still pretty meh, though. Hopefully things'll start moving next time, and that Dorothea gets beaten. 3/5 |
