Oh this kinda silly..with Euphyllia not just living with Anisiphia but also training with her. She might have some potential? Still very far off before she can reach it if you ask me.

Jokes aside, I think Anisiphia is a positive influence for Eupyllia and she can learn a lot from her.

It's been a while since Anisphia and Euphilia started living together. However, Euphilia is still unfamiliar with her new place, new job, and her new position. For such Euphilia, Anisphia said that she would make her exclusive magic tool... Euphilia is a genius, no matter what kind of magicc tool she uses, she can do it well. There is also a sword that looks like a light saber, it seems that it is very practical and can save the cost of some war. Isekai fantasy with the broomstick magic, somehow I feel that this really exists in a fantasy world, isn't it similar to harry potter's fantasy world, lul.

Looking for more research.

Okay so... when will they start killing each other? Will the anime even ever get to that point, actually?
The whole foreshadowing of jealousy and incomplete "youth" love is too thicc to ignore here. especially since Anis gave Euphy the sword without Euphy having fully come into terms with her own feelings for herself and her changing life.

Fabulous. Such a badass rainbow sword.

No arguments here with the beauty and story. It's just moving forward with grace, kinda nice she didn't throw the prince under the bus; it's just chill action.

It's a shame that Lainie didn't show up this tiime, I want to see her so bad. The episode is too slow-paced, I think. I'm not sure anymore about "that event".

LETS GOOOO Anime of the season is back with another episode finally

I feel so bad for everything Euphie’s been through, but everything happens for a reason. She had to go thru all that bs to find her soul-mate Anis. Speaking of Anis, staying up all night to craft Arc en ciel for Euphie was so cute and it’s a perfect fit for her. Really beautiful scene with Anis napping on Euphie’s lap at the end. Fantastic episode!

I love how concerned the dads are for their daughters too despite their position. so cute.

Huge contrast compared to the previous two episodes. This was boring and slow AF.

Wished anime directors get the message that you don't need to make everything move at glacial pace and look so lifeless when anime characters get their almost mandatory depression arc.

Honestly, I feel bad for Euphyllia, having her world be thrown into disregard, and past memories thrown under the gutter. It's only thanks to Anis that she can still remain sane, but the emotional baggage of hers hasn't really been swept away. Still though, her being Anis's guinea pig is better than nothing for a second chance at life, being shrouded by the princess's many experiments of danger play, but fun.

Euphyllia being taken in for questioning about the engagement annulment, and the former princess's wish to be free, life just isn't a bed of roses for a freedom of choice. That said, it would be best not to refresh memories from that fateful day, and she doesn't feel like a legit princess because even all the love in the world couldn't reciprocate the one thing that she needs to fulfill: be an upstanding princess according to tradition. Euphyllia simply has no right anymore, and she is a free girl with no emotional baggage left to hold.

Anis...is just being Anis, obsessive about magic, and making a mana blade for Euphyllia to try out, it felt like Anis's wish was fulfilled. The Arc-en-Ciel "rainbow" blade, it shows Euphyllia's magic diversity in the best possible way, and ending it all on a lap pillow, the mature girl and the child, it's just a sweet moment between the two.

Yuri fans FTW, even if it's just a teensy bit.

Yes Euphie really is pretty, and I can tell that she's still not over what happened and who can blame her. It was nice to see her return the key even though the king did offer to let her hold onto to it. Euphie really is respectful and her (former?) assistants showed that. Speaking of assistants, I really like Ilia as she is caring but also has a bit of a "no effs" given attitude.

Anis worked hard for Euphie's special magic tool and pulled an almost all-nighter that Anis fell asleep on Euphie's lap after Euphie tried it out. I noticed Euphie cry a bit at the end and I'm guessing it's a bit of gratefulness towards Anis but not sure if it's also due to what happened to her (being embarrassed,  dumped, and falsely accused at the party, poor girl).

I don't mind slowing down a little and letting a character process a terrible event and transition to a new life. I hope we keep seeing the political aspects of the kingdom too, so far I really like how they've handled it.

Let it all go Euphyllia,  Anisphia has all the love you'll ever need just waiting for your approval.

I don't even wish the prince any ill will, I'm not interested in seeing retribution, I just want to see these two grow and be happy in each others company.

A slow, contemplative episode, but it was necessary for Euphie's character, and really captured that feeling of 'everything I thought my life was supposed to be is no more, what the hell am I supposed to do now???". It's hard for her to understand freedom, because she's lived bound by a role she was expected to play, and put everything into being perfect at that role. What her father said to her was well-intentioned, but absolutely brutal. She WANTS to be useful, to be needed, to have something to do.
Of course, Anis knows that, and it's clear she's intuitive enough to sense that Euphie is not okay. This is where Anis' lack of a filter comes in handy, because she doesn't leave anything unsaid that she means to say.

Hm, someone (Lainie) brainwashed the prince and other guys? Who cares. What's important is that the dads believe in Euphie. She's so sad now, but that's to be expected, she worked so hard for one thing and suddenly she doesn't need to do anything. But I'm sure she'll be only happier now.

Funny how both girls envy each other, even though both are extremely talented. It's in human nature to desire what we don't have, while NOT realizing the true value of what we already have.

The tone is a bit more serious than the manga which has more humor, but I like the direction they're going with. The animation and OST are gorgeous. I even felt a bit emotional at the end there. What a beautiful scene!

I love how Anis is sort of a nonconformist, she's just unabashedly herself, doing what's fun and makes her happy. One of my new favorite anime characters! I'm happy she's so straightforward about her feelings so it's very clear this is real GL, not just yuri-bait.

The adaptation is taking it a bit slow, but that's a good thing; they're doing justice to the story by not skipping over too much. I know there will be some excitement in the next few episodes to come.

Same energy:

There was actually new stuff from LN readers too.

I liked this episode so much. It was very emotional and melancholic. Some people say here that it was slow but for me it was perfect. Don't worry, there will be action later on. Not every episode has to be like some sort ADHD action packed Hollywood shows. This was actually prefect pace before the storm.

Nobody is saying that a slow episode equals to not having Michael bay explosions every 5 minutes. It's a slow episode because nothing truly substancial warrants a whole episode of pure nothingness.

The part where Illia needs to cue in on Euphilya (and the audience) that she's free and no longer needs to worry about royal duties it's pretty much all the worthless buildup of this episode. The author and director already belittle the audience with the need to use a soapbox character as proxy to state the obvious that should had been stated with visuals instead.

If you really think that slow episodes = lack of action, then you should probably stay away from actual great drama shows like Showa Genroku and stick to cheap run of the mill fantasy shows based on copy paste light novel sources.

I think this episode was highly justified. In order to understand the dynamic between the two characters, it has to be emphasized that Euphyllia’s whole life purpose has suddenly been thrown out of the window. It’s been touched upon in the prior two episodes, but those episodes were mainly driven by Anis, with only mere mentions of how this will actually impact Euphyllia. Just how this impacts her and her relationship with Anis is shown in this episode, so you’re right in that there is not much progression in this episode…but that was not the point. It’s only episode three after all, these first few episodes are more-or-less setup.

In this episode, it truly sinks in that Euphyllia is effectively a shell of her former self. She had been living her whole life on the basis that she will be queen. She knew nothing but work and education, preparing for one of the biggest burdens to be held…and suddenly she’s told “actually you’re no longer even going to be queen, you’re no longer needed, apologies!”. This episode shows that she is currently in a identity crisis. Furthermore, we see an obvious juxtaposition between the duo. One is care-free, confident in her identity and purpose, while the other is uncertain about her future and her identity.

I think that just because an episode does have any progression does not make it meaningless. It’s only the third episode, right now the job is to setup the characters and their relationships, which from there will carry the rest of the show. You might be judging this episode and anime a bit too harshly right now.

This anime is so precious!!!

Anis is becoming a really positive influence on Euphie's life as she is still trying to adapt to her new living quarters.

Also Anis admiring Euphie's magic and her using Euphie as a lap pillow are the best scenes easily!! Hope to see more of these moments.

Will Anisphia ever ask Euphyllia if she's into girls or...? Because you know... that's something you should check before "kidnapping" someone and claim them as your wife-to-be.

Kind of a boring episode, not gonna lie. I don't think having 23 more minutes of Euphyllia lamenting herself was necessary but well.
