The madman did it again. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from Fujimoto, but in retrospect it should've been obvious that he would talk about his love of films again. People may come and go, but they live in in our hearts. Fuck.

Damn this had me glued. I was fascinated about how it shifted from reality to a film script over and over again which kept me guessing as to what was real and what was part of the movie. Really really good writing, Fujimoto's still got it.

Omg, Fujimoto's art improved a lot since Look Back. The angles, background, and the use of panels make me feel like a movie. Fujimoto's character expression drawn is on a god-like level, could be compared with Inio Asano's artwork. This one-shot is beautiful.

I don't what to say at this point. This man is a living genius with his storytelling. Beautiful. What a masterfully written one-shot. I don't know if my GOAT will ever miss. But, he keeps making me smile and bringing tears to my eyes constantly. I love an author who's so different in his way of doing things. What a legend. Absolutely loved it. That message was fucking strong. Man...

Fujimoto you absolute madman. He really knows how to show his love for movies in his work. It's insane. How can one man keep putting out so many unique, impactful and cinematic stories?

Anything this man puts out blows my mind and "Goodbye Eri" is no different. Only one word can describe the bibliography of Tatsuki Fujimoto...

This man with yet another one-shot, with yet another mind boggling story set-up. I must say characters in his series are super freak in their own way, same goes for this one. This just intensifies the hype and wait for his upcoming work. Now keenly waiting for the next one.

Yet another magnum opus creation from the manga legend himself. I'm still shaking after reading the masterpiece that is Goodbye Eri. I was worried about the future of Chainsaw Man part 2, but after reading this new one-shot I can rest assured that Fujimoto is undeniably at his artistic peak right now.

Edit: Pure kino.

Fujimoto's manga and there wouldn't be a single death in it? Impossible. All that aside, it was a great One-Shot as expected from Fujimoto but honestly protag's mother being selfish, i didn't see that one coming.

Another fantastic one shot by Fujimoto, loved it as much as Look Back and think both are better than his actual serialized works like Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man. His art's developed nicely, the panelling to make the one-shot truly feel cinematic with its presentation and the multi-layered narrative was all really well thought out. If this gets an English physical release like Look Back is getting, I'll be getting this volume for sure.

That paneling was fantastic. The way the story is mostly told in 4 frames, to induce a rythm, only to break with one-page panels to create a big impact. This was really movie-like. Once again, Fujimoto delivers big, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. Kino/5

This is one of the best one-shots (maybe better than the previous one) I've ever seen, I really like how Fujimoto has a certain flair with the cinematics and damn the facial expression is simply too natural too good. Okay now, where the fuck is the preview for the 2nd part of Chainsaw Man? Seriously high on copium rn.

Absolutely fabulous. Really don't have much to say, and I admit that I wasn't too interested in the first quarter of the oneshot, but the meta-bending story, especially with the doubt between what's real and what's filmed was absolutely fabulous. Still have no clue whether the ending is real or fake, and that's honestly how it should be

This was weird, not sure if it was in a good way or a bad way. Every time I thought I understood the plot, it changed yet again. I also feel like my eyesight has gotten worse by reading this lmao. It was like watching a 3d movie without wearing 3d glasses. Though, that art style really fit the story. Nice one Fujimoto

This one-shot was great, I don't think I've ever seen a mangaka tell a story entirely from the first-person perspective of the protagonist, so that was a nice touch. This really blurred the lines between what was reality and what was Yuta's movie, especially with the ending, and I'm sure Fujimoto is leaving it up to the reader's interpretation. I'm definitely going to re-read this at some point. I really hope this gets animated someday.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

How does he keep doing it again and again?

I have no idea how to even talk about this. The classic Fujimoto paneling of the characters expressing their emotions in various small panels is not only present in this but rather the entire one-shot is made out of it and unlike his previous works, he doesn't need extra smaller panels this time, because of how good he has gotten in drawing the facial expressions of the characters. While the actual story isn't as strong as his other works, the meta sense elevates it to another level. At the end of the day, it was just a way for him to show his love towards the movies. Definitely becoming the best mangaka of this generation.
