| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol Sougen is cool, what a gentleman. Looks like Tennouji got a good scare from Kagari. What a cute bite! Shizuru is adorable this episode too. Not my favorite character in this series but kinda glad to see the show focus on her more. Good way to develop her character and showing her past, which isn't quite pleasant ;_;  |

| In vn Shizuru's backstory was really touching. Here I felt nothing. Nothing strange, amount of time for this was ridiculously small. I bet that most of people who don't know original story won't even understand what happened (ps. they waited many hours for her parents). Not mentioning about whole CD situation, and how many things they changed. I really want to write something positive but I just can't. |

Is this what Tensho meant by "each girl will each get the spotlight"? Because if it is, this is like Grisaia no Kaijitsu again. After we go through Lucia's, we have Chihaya, Akane, and Kotori next. How many episodes will that leave Kagari? |
| Oh god whyyyyyyy Now this is seriously like Kajitsu all over again Why on Earth are we going into a tl;dr version of Shizuru's backstory all of a sudden? Why is the ending so obviously implying that they're going to do the same with Lucia's next week? Why does this pattern indicate that they're most likely doing the same with the other three as well (fuck knows how that'll work out with Kotori and Akane given how their routes start but that's a different matter) I thought this was supposed to be anime original? Do you really need to give us condensed versions of all the heroines' backstories in one episode each? That's 5/13 episodes wasted right there. I mean even if it's just the backstories and not their actual routes themselves it's still useless. Sure, giving the other girls some characterization is fine, but jesus you've only got 13 episodes to work with here. Give them their spotlight in their everyday scenes from the common route like you did in the first three episodes and then proceed to Kagari's route, don't waste time by half-assedly taking snippets from the other routes just because you can. | It wasn't so bad as I thought, but it's the worst episode so far. Koibumi? seriously? The song lost all meaning and impact here... I'm really mad because of this. Well... this episode confirms that it's another Grisaia. Tensho doesn't learn from his mistakes lol |

Agreed with you 100%. I was so hopeful that Tensho and 8bit wouldn't repeat Grisaia, but THIS IS JUST like Grisaia all over again! WTF?! I'm pissed off now. After this disaster ends (if they do a second season), I'm officially boycotting 8bit's VN adaptations from now on. There are inept. And we still have Lucia, Akane, and Kotori left? How many episodes does that leave Kagari? 4 episodes? Fuck this. At least I'm used to this with Grisaia...but this still hurts. |

Yeah, it's Kagari route, so I don't understand why the girls are getting their backstories here. I don't remember that Akane got her backstory on Kotori route neither Lucia on Chihaya route. |

| This episode feels rushed and different, but it doesn't take away much from the story. I still felt emotional, and in that scene where Shizuru looked back at Kotarou...oh gosh. And yea it seems like they're gonna go for one episode per heroine, just to show their backstory. It feels nice and since I like Lucia so much, I'm excited to see how they'd tell her story. But daaaamn people, this definitely is a new story because if you're gonna watch this and compare it to any of the routes in the VN, you're just gonna get so lost (definitely just not me hahaha) because some of the things don't make any sense. I mean, how they logically arrange the story. Probably the only thing I didn't like much about this episode is how, suddenly, Shizuru sort-of admits to Kotarou her "powers". Like wtf how did we suddenly get to the part where Shizuru actually knows that Kotarou is aware of superpowers and stuff. (and Akane looked a little bit weird in one scene hahaha) |

| 10/10 koibumi insert esaka's quirk wasn't really funny in the anime welp I don't really care for this adaptation we all expected it to suck I'm here for the nostalgia its really recommended that you read the vn if you have time |

| As a non VN reader, it really feels like they are just blazing through the story at lightspeed. One moment its just slice of pointlessness and then next minute they drop the whole backstory on our face with character dialogue sped up 1.5x times. |

And your point on introducing the characters in the everyday scenes. I mean yea they could also do that, but it will look like everything is just scattered all over the place.
