| You don't even know what we are talking about. The World Government calls him that throughout the series. So when the subbers use "Gold Roger" instead, they are using the correct intended translation. There is no mistranslation or anything. And that's whut hJ was wondering about. Of course his actual name is Gol D. Roger, but that isn't used all the time. Another One Piece mystery it seems. |

| They are sure setting the new arc really slowly though I still loved the pace of this episode. And I love the new op song. The animation could have been better but the song is nice~ At least better than the previous~ |

| Excuse me well i pick my jaw up off the floor. Ace being rogers son? I never would of guessed. Man what a shocker. So the blood of the pirate king lives on. They also talked bout Rougu being ace's mother, and rogers wife. Damn what a family. This episode was the most amazing build up ive ever seen for the upcoming war. This is going to be intense. The forces of the marines are just huge, largest ive ever seen them. 100,000 marines, 50 battleships around the crescent bay, thousands of cannons, a line up of huge giant marines in the front of HQ, 5 of the 7 warlords of the sea. Including Miwahk and YES im glad to see him take part in this war. We didn't see much of him at all in the series so im glad he gets more screen time. Also Donquixote Doflamingo, we get to see what he is capable of. Then there is hancock as well and Bartholomew Kuma again. Then the 3 admirals, Aokiji, Kizaru and Aikainu. Also Fleet Admiral Sengoku and Garp which personally i REALLY want to see what he they are capable of given the fact that there actually in charge of the admirals that we already know have devastating power. We also get to see brief glimpses of some older characters we haven't saw in a long time. Like smoker, tashigi and hina, the other vice admirals from ennies lobby's, and Helmeppo, Alvida and Coby?? Fuck yes. I'm glad coby is back :D I disagree with most people in saying that this episode has pointless flashbacks and not much going on. There is a reason its starting off slow. Its because its a build up episode. It does its job insetting the mood of the show and whats to come. The animation was also spectacular in this episode. I guess its safe to say that were going to have an arc with nice quality animation. I really love the new sound tracks that were used in this episode. It really helped built the intensity of the episode. Also we briefly hear bout Shiki again. That tells you right there, that he is going to be a major character in the future of the anime just like i knew. The new opening was AMAZING!! Given how the story has taken a drastic turn, luffy loosing all his nakama, ace going to be executed. The depressing tune, fits the seriousness and intense theme of the show being portrayed perfectly. "insanesoldiern" this entire first discussions is littered with spoilers, be very careful" If i were you, i only read the first few posts. |

| Here we go.. A new opening for the start of a new arc.. The new opening is much better then the previous which I didn't get use to lately.. Loved how they portrayed each island from North to West in being so concentrated to the latest happenings in Marineford.. the high security and strategic deployment just shows the magnitude of importance.. The last part with Ace's father.. blew my mind off.. at first I thought Sengoku will say Dragon.. can't really lower your guard when watching One Piece wahaha a great twist to everything! :-D |

The "will of D" is still a mystery, it has nothing to do with them being family. Though its quite certain they share the same bloodline. No luffy's father is Monkey D dragon and yes that was the big reveal is that luffy and ace are in fact not blood related brothers. Ace is rogers son, not luffy. No Roger and garp are not related. Hope that answers all your questions, in any case you should know all of this by now. It will be much more further explained though when they reveal the past of the brothers. |
