| Honestly 6.5 rating is still very generous with this season. Even if we ignore all the still frames and obvious lack of animation, the pacing and directing is still subpar. What is even the story about now? 20 minutes and we learned literally one interesting thing about the Monster Association. Everything was filler filler filler. |

| Alright I've put this off for long enough lol the first episode was rough, and I've heard some very... 'mixed' things about this episode. First off, I swear the animation got worse. It already wasn't great, but I swear it got worse. That hill scene... XD It's rough. Like yeah okay, there was a time crunch and this had a small budget, but this is still pretty bad. Like... Did no one think to improve on it even a little? It's made even worse after rewatching OPM season 1 a couple weeks back. Going from that, to season 2, and then to this... It's not great. I thought maybe people were being a bit harsh when they said that it looked like a PNG of Garou being dragged down a hill, but nope it really is that, and I hate that it is that. This isn't what I was expecting out of this season (I haven't been paying attention to anything behind the scenes or really any news leading up to this season). This looks like something you'd see out of the worst of the 50 trashy isekai that air every season. Actually when I heard about that hill scene, my mind immediately went to Ningen Fushin; specifically a scene in episode 4 just after the OP where some characters are going down some stairs, and it's animated pretty terribly, but the worst part is I'm now debating what's worse, that scene with weird choppy animation going down stairs, or the scene with PNG Garou sliding down the hill. Going from season 1 to this is just the worst, and I can't imagine what things will be like once some fighting actually happens, or even worse, what the really big fights will be like. On that note, does anyone feel like the pacing has just been really slow? Like what even happened this episode. We saw Garou walk around for a bit, society is crumbling around him, he gets something to eat, we see a couple still frames of Saitama for like two minutes, and then the rest is either explaining where Lord Orochi came from, or it's Garou with that kid. This season is a mess. It clearly was not ready to come out. It needed more time in the oven, but unfortunately Bandai didn't think so. I'm going to keep watching for now, but this season isn't looking good. I'd like to see what the first fight is going to look like next episode lol I don't have high hopes considering the level of animation that's been shown off so far. Also funny side note, I showed my gf some scenes from this season and she said it's almost like they're going backwards in terms of art style, and by the end we'll end up with how the early web comic looked like XD |

| The animation may not be what it was in season 1, but if what the members of the studio said is true, than this is not THAT bad. I'm atleat satisfied. Sure, i wish it was season 1 level, and someone is guilty of not delivering it to us, but atleast don't harass the animators and directors with very limited budget and time, as so it appears... EDIT: Forgot to add, that my opinion may somewhat change after watching eposode 3 (still haven't watched it) |

| First three-quarters of the episode looked hella questionable. Last quarter looked slightly better at least. Also, shouldn't Fubuki be wearing the sexy turtle-neck dress by now? juandiqsuc said: Never realized that Tarou is literally Gohan from dbz True. Similar haircut and just as annoying. |
| episode 2 was a bit better than the first one, but still pretty rough. the animation is still stiff, and that garou sliding scene was funny in the worst way. i did like some parts though. saitama making fubuki pay for the food made me laugh, and garou saving people even while calling himself a monster was a nice touch. overall, it’s still more talking than action. hopefully next week we finally get a proper fight. |
| I thought that everyone was being too picky when they complained about bad animation during season 2 and during the first two episodes of season 3. However, this episode definitely made me notice the problem. Many segments of the episode are literally just unmoving slideshows. I don't mind paining across a still imaged during an establishing shot, but to just have a still image on screen for 30 seconds at a time with characters talking over it is wildly lazy. |

| Saitama lost his wallet and couldn't pay for the food. But fear not! Fubuki appeared in the right place at the right time to pay for everything. That's the price for eating that one French fry, lmao. Oh, Garou got wrecked by Saitama's punch again. Speaking about Garou... So that (in)famous "Garou slide" scene takes place in this episode, huh? It's something I've been seeing really often each time someone spoke about OPM Season 3, lol. One could say it is already iconic... or absolute cinema... though in a bad way, haha.  By the way, this opening theme is really good. Especially its song. Definitely worth of not skipping it. |
