@MrMatteo Hey, I noticed you read quitee a few manhwa, and we seem to have quite a few in common, so I'd like to recommend you Surviving the Game as a Barbarian, it together with Omniscience Reader Viewpoint and The Extra's Academy Surviva Guide (also a good pick, but currently on hiatus) are my favorites.

I am open to pretty much any genre, but I confess I haven't find a good comedy since I started reading Grand Blue
@Gabrielbdoc
thak you so much for the recommend, I will definitely read Surviving the Game as a Barbarian

I saw that you like romance and slice of life, you may consider this:
Neko no Otera no Chion-san - https://myanimelist.net/manga/102458/Neko_no_Otera_no_Chion-san

@coffeedrops You may consider this:
Taiyou no Ie - https://myanimelist.net/manga/26736/Taiyou_no_Ie

I'm looking open to any manga from any genre as well, except for horror, thanks! :)

I've got a Recommendation that I think you'll love

Think this will fit perfectly with other Manga you have read

@Barrycade After reviewing your manga list, I see you enjoy reading various genres, but you have a particular fondness for romance manga. I recommend these two romantic comedy manga that I read a while ago.

Kuzumi-kun Kuuki Yometemasu ka
Saotome Senshu Hitakakusu

If you'd like to recommend any manga, it can be from any genre.

@Spenz7 Hi, you said you are open to any recommendations except horror, and I saw you read a lot of manga on the survival/high stakes genre, so I would like to suggest Liar Game. It's probably the less gruesome manga of its kind, being focused purely on psycological games. I found it very entertaining.

@Fish4Seagulls As for you, who is looking for horror, I will give two recommendations so you can choose what you're more in the mood for. Ousama Game Kigen is the most gruesome of the two, being more akin to proper horror. It's a prequel to another manga called Ousama Game, but it can be read as a standalone, and it's a lot better than the original and its sequel that are infamous for not being good. Meanwhile, Alice in Borderland, while still a horror manga, has more mind games than Kigen. It is a page turner. Both Ousama Game Kigen and Alice in Borderland are focused on characters trying to survive forces behind their control. Hope you like at least one of them.

I didn't read many manga, so it shouldn't be too hard to recommend me something. I'm open to anything, the only thing I will ask for is for a manga that doesn't have an anime adaptation and that you don't think will get one. I guess you can also recommend a manga that has an anime adaptation as long as that adaption is radically different from the manga itself (we know some anime adapts butcher the respective manga, after all)

Happy festival for everyone!

TBH I have never read manga in my life but I am looking forward to read some and have a new experience. I have had my fair share of English literature . I really like detective stories and crime thriller. One of my favourite is "Then there were none" by agatha christie also read the whole collection of arthur conan doyle , edgar allan poe , agatha christie, GK chesterton . I also like adventure stories like " the count of monte cristo " and "thousand leagues under the sea". I think hamlet is far more tragic Romeo and Juliette . I recently got into philosophical and psychological works like Metamorphosis by kafka and Crime and Punishment.
My aim from this event is to collect a treasure trove of manga that would be a mesmerizing read and suck into the world of manga.
Please help me to gather great manga.
Thank You

@AppleIceCream You should give Vagabond a go based on what you asked. It is one of the most loved manga of all time, widely regarded as a masterpiece, the art is phenomenal, and it has never gotten an anime even though it has been out for so long.

I saw that it was on your plan to read, you should actually do it, but to give a few suggestions that you already don't plan too read. Good Night Punpun Is a hautingly beautiful manga, the aesthetic is perfect, the story well written. It can be quite sad, so proceed if this is the kind of thing you might like.

And I noticed you have quite a few Seinens on your list, so 20th Century Boys may be it for you. It's a mystery manga that gets you really involved and keeps you on your toes all through out it.

Both Punpun and 20th Century Boys have been completed for quite a while without any anime, so are safe choices.

"@Sam565" I've both read the manga and watched the anime for Pandora Hearts The manga is way better. It's a very interesting series, one shrouded in mystery with an Alice in Wonderland inspired theme. Might want to do a bit more research outside of reading to fully understand it. Overall 9/10 for me, hope you enjoy it.

You can try The Fable. It’s completed, has over 200 chapters, and it’s a unique mix of action, comedy, and slice of life with an assassin MC. Really entertaining and binge-worthy.

Also, if anyone has an underrated completed manga that’s your personal favorite, please suggest it too!

@CallMe_Senpai I have a few manga from different genres that I consider underrated.
You can pick something from this list:

- Skill of Lure (Comedy, Ecchi)
- Zippy Ziggy (Comedy)
- Dokgo (Action, Drama)
- Kokou no Hito (Drama, Sports)

Maybe you'll find something you like.

@lil_rych If you're up for a long-running shonen with a satisfying ending I'm gonna sing the praises of Konjiki no Gash!! (https://myanimelist.net/manga/869/Konjiki_no_Gash) Its got them fun battles, heartwarming friendship feels, and some of the most varied characters I've ever seen in a shonen series honestly. I recently finished Fire punch and I loved it so much. These days I dont read much manga so I would like a quick to read manga that has some punch. Maybe something like Fire punch or Houseki no kuni which has an ending which leaves me dumbfounded but satisfied at the same time. I love open and ambiguous endings! Preferrably something which I can finish in a day aswell.

90 chapters with historical and some supernatural elements

Hmmm can anyone think of anything similar vibewise to Natsume Yuuchinjou and Mushishi? People dealing with yokai in a more slice of life setting. I think ive probably read the most popular "cousins" of those two?

@Matheus050 Not trying to be rude or anything, but I've seen it as an anime and it's a bit weird to recommend it if one haven't completed it themselves. It's not really an adventure manga/anime either...

@LunaLov I loved Helter Skelter! Pink is supposedly her most famous work but I haven't read that one yet, I did really like River's Edge though!

@lovebomb6 how about both? The funniest and most surreal/psychological thing I've read thus far has been Dementia 21, one of my all time favorite reads inside and outside of manga.

@giggly_emi I don't read BL, but a manga I liked that felt a lot like BL (and which I think was written/illustrated by mangaka involved in BL) was Jitsuzon Unplugged, which is about famous philosophers being reincarnated in modern-day Japan. As for the fantasy/historical recommendation, I can give you Goze Hotaru, which is about a blind girl in 19th century fantasy Japan who becomes a goze, with the plot incorporating typical Japanese fantasy folk.

Sadly, the two manga were axed, but you may enjoy them nevertheless.

I've particularly enjoyed the Clannad manga, Hirayasumi, the Angel Beats! manga, Fumikiri Jikan, Jitsuzon Unplugged, Kimi no Na wa., Oboro to Machi, Psych Biyori, Sekai no Owari to Yoakemae, SKK: Shoujo-tachi no Sekai, Bocchi the Rock!, Gakkougurashi!, Joshikausei, Kin no Hitsuji, Sekai no Owari ni Shiba Inu to and Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. Anything resembling any of these manga is totally welcome.
