| This first episode was pretty well a perfect adaptation. They captured the essence of the first chapter beautifully. The colors were great, I think the voices fit really well, and the music was super pleasant too. It also seems like the dialogue was pretty spot on from what Japanese I do understand. I'm still irritated about the delayed release in the west, but I'll be damned if I wasn't going to watch all 3 Cloverworks premiers today, especially this one. I can't wait for the rest of the season! |

Aaaaaaaah I’m literally screaming in real life! I’m so hyped for this anime trio! So I’ll combine my reaction for all the first episodes of these three anime:
* *Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2*
* *Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku*
* *Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai*
Believe it or not—today is my birthday (according to the Hijri calendar)! Could I have possibly received a better gift than this?
Marin may not be from my all-time favorite anime—but a whole new season of Marin? We missed her!
As for the second anime!! My friend at university wouldn’t shut up about it! He keeps saying it’s the best, and he even says I’m exactly like the main character—we’re super alike, apparently.
And *Bunny Senpai*... ahhh, it’s one of my top 10 anime ever! I never get tired of it—it’s beautiful. I missed Sakuta! I truly love this series!
I can’t hold back—I’m going to watch all three episodes right now! I literally can’t contain my excitement, it’s about to explode!

| @AboAhmed130 Happy birthday! I thought Blue Box already looks so good, but this one... O_O Scenes like these are why I glaze the show, the studio, and the team who makes this in particular. I was thoroughly impressed with how they animated Akebi's Sailor Uniform, and they still have their magic. With this and Takopi in the same season (plus Dan Da Dan, Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, and My Dress Up Darling), Summer 2025 could be the strongest since Winter 2018 (Yuru Camp, Violet Evergarden, A Place Further Than The Universe) |

| Netflix really done fucked it up this time, you dumb bastards, but hey this show is pretty sick and I usually pirate when it comes to Netflix anyway, so I guess this doesn’t change much lol, except for the fact the subs I found kinda blew hot ass, I’m guessing I’m gonna have to wait till Monday to watch this with good subs or something, we’ll see what I end up doing going forward. But yeah this was a really nice start, nothing crazy so far but it’s a nice setup for what will probably be a great romance, I really like the polar opposite schools thing and I’m sure Kaoruko will break Rintaro’s complex of being seen as scary into smithereens. And speaking Kaoruko, frickin’ adorable isn’t she lol, we haven’t seen much of her yet but I can tell she’s gonna be a fantastic waifu this season, and it’s in a season dominated by great waifus already. And that is a really nice OP and ED, another Tatsuya Kitani banger, and Reira Ushio is new to me but I’m way into that one too. Quite the powerful romantic CloverWorks trifecta we got this season, a shame this one got screwed over by Netflix but I’ll fly my pirate flag high for it lol. |

| Netflix jail nonsense aside, I'm so happy to see my #1 favorite romance manga getting such a great looking adaptation. I couldn't have asked for a better start, it's practically perfect. Undeniably the best premiere so far this season! |

| It was a pretty good first episode with nice animation and building on some we-have-seen-them before character types and situations but that 8.90 rating is a bit overblown. I got used to nonsensincal ratings from shounen fans and fujoshis but where this comes from now? P.S. Oh, I see. The previous comment answers my question, it is the manga readers now. It might get diluted after a time and returns to a more sensical rating or the story will get so freaking good that the anime deserves it in the end. We will see. |

| I CANNOT believe how beautiful this show looks. The character art and animation are incredible. I really hope this show keeps this insane level of quality up throughout the season, though I've seen Cloverworks drop the ball (very hard) before. The characters are very.... shoujo. I don't hate the story or anything---it's incredibly cute, and I even laughed out loud at times---but there's a certain predictability to the first episode that I don't love. I'll be sticking around, though. I was looking forward to this show and had some moderately high expectations out of a Cloverworks production, and frankly this first ep blew my expectations out of the water. |

| Slice-of-school-life, drama, and romance. This is ticking a lot of boxes and Clovers A-team is doing the animation so it really is quite lovely. Though not star-crossed lovers the couple in this romance are definitely from opposite sides of the track. Rintarou has all the looks of a delinquent but it seems he has a gentle soul. Meanwhile Kaoruko is a student at a prestigious private school. I am rooting for this romantic mismatch. Seems that Rintarou's looks have garnered him some hostile attention from other delinquents out to pull him down a peg, but I hope this isn't a recurring theme. I feel the romance is going to be rocky because of others disapproval of the match so it doesn't need Kaoruko being periodically threatened with physical harm as well. Adding this to my summer watchlist. As a side note seems like most of the romances I am interested in watching are being released on Sunday. |

| Just one episode in and the anime is better than I expected, props to CloverWorks for top-notch animation quality even though they got their hands full this summer. Also, Kaoruko saying "fuyukai desu" gives me flashbacks of Kyoukai no Kanata and that's just cute for her personality! I hope the chemistry between her and Rintarou will continue to get sweeter. |

Not sure if they'll adapt Natsusawa's part with Subaru but I hope there's a bit of their interaction here... I swear, the friendship between the elite school girls and the Chidori boys is heartwarming :") |

| I dropped the manga.. it's not bad, just.. nothing special, and the school rivalry feels too over the top. Watching this because it looks pretty from the trailers, and pretty looking it is. The characters also feels more likeable with the voice, can feel their personalities and chemistry more from it. So far I enjoy the anime's 1st episode so will continue for now. |
| It's fucking 2025 but somehow Netflix keeps making the same fucking mistakes. I hate Crunchyroll as much as the next guy but I'd rather have them get an anime over Netflix or HIDIVE. At least they release their anime somewhat consistently. Anyway, I'm so glad fansubbers exist. Anyway, the first episode was pretty good. I don't know much about the series but I heard it's pretty wholesome so I decided to give it a shot. I think a low-life school and a noble school being right next to each other and the Kikyo school girls being so openly hostile to the poor school boys is a bit cartoony but it can make some satisfying stories later. So looking forward to where it goes. The ED is really beautiful. Might be a best ED of the season contender. |

| I don't watch a lot of romances but so far I quite like this one, despite all the awkward, typical anime interactions between the protagonists. Is it really that hard to do something more natural where the characters actually get to know each other and we don't just jump straight into big "emotional" stuff? The guy seems quite unusual for a romance anime, he's not a typical nerd, he's a normal sensitive guy judged for his looks (I don't get it, are Japanese people afraid of tall people?) and the environment he's in, which makes his self-esteem go down the drain and fortunately it's not done in a typical exaggerated way. Plus he's handsome so the fact that the girl fell in love with him so quickly doesn't make you roll your eyes. The girl seems to be a typical wet dream of every web user, charming, understanding, smart and beautiful, i.e. a bit too idealized XD although in the background I feel some problems with overprotective parents who will usually stand in the way of love blah blah The last scene was supposed to be a big plot twist but it was obvious from the very beginning, their romance was going too well, full understanding "oh, don't judge a book by its cover" and forward haha, I wonder how the fact that the girl goes to a prestigious school will affect their relationship now, I hope that MC won't have a character regression and won't avoid her because of it and think "oh, I'm not worthy of her" blah blah, at least that it won't last too long. I'm more counting on a conflict of social classes where the girl's parents will stand in the way of their relationship and MC will try to change but it will turn out that "you have to be yourself" and in the end everyone will understand that the most important thing is love...XDD 3/5 |
