| hHUH?! Well, the choreography isn't bad! Zoro vs King. Fresh new animations for Zoros past with Kuina, already a nice episode, since it didn't re-use the old assets. And neither was I expecting a flashback for Zoro either. Pretty auras from the sword too. Surprising that there isn't any plane SFX for Momos dragon form loool, and just how is it that they're able to make Momos CGI better than Kaido's? It does not look like the asset from Episode of East blue for Kuina and Zoro's flashback, always nice to see old times brought back with new animations. Now hes getting green auras. An okay episode so far, aside from the fact that Zoro needs to put his shirt back on whenever he fights. Almost all old assets weren't used. |

| Lots of reanimated old scenes but at least they were good reanimations Some good sequences of Zoro but I think they're saving the best for the battle's climax |
| How many times do we need to be reminded of Zoro's vows? I'm sure this isn't the last flashback of his. Hopefully, next week will be the end of Sanji's fight. Ugh. Wano kuni turned this anime only into a manga reader. |
| Loved this episode very much. I do not care how long it takes to get to the next events to come. I would rather have it take its' time and have some pacing issues than have it on break for a long time. That aside Nice scenes and so forth. Zoro becomes a King than a Boss! X3 |
| very solid zoro-focused episode, got chills several times. reanimations which looked really good. the great king of hell is on the rise!! preview looked great as well. and it wasn't directly mentioned this time but every once in a while, we are reminded of Down D. Stairs. |

Great episode, the action sequences in the 1st half was beautifully choreographed, and the art in the entire episode was stunning. The last part with The Very, Very strongest playing in the background had the best art. The flashbacks had some good animation as well.  The content of the episode is from Chapter 1033. The flashback spanned out to be 5-6 pages in the manga but it was fleshed out with added scenes it helped keep the flow of the episode and it turned out great and even much better than the manga. | Holy Nostalgia. Scenes we have not seen since the very early parts of one piece. Notice how Zoro was never able to see Kuina's Body? The adults in the village were barricading him and Kuina’s face was covered up. Also the look on Koushirou’s face. There is some manipulation going on in that village, im telling you right now. Kuina's Death is being covered up. Anyways although this ep only adapted 9 pages of the chapter, it was perfectly well paced for a zoro centric episode, focusing specifically on Shimotsuki Kozaburo and the reason that village was named Shimotsuki village. The fight scenes between Zoro and King were beautifully illustrated and directed well with great music to amply the scene. Good stuff. Next episode seems to go back to Sanji’s fight which is also pretty exciting, can’t wait to see sanji fire up. Where getting ever so closer to THAT moment people. |

| While I'm aware that some aren't necessarily a fan of these types of older flashbacks, I absolutely have to admit that they did a great job of re-animating them in a contemporary way. In general, the episode looked very clean. Since we never heard the full name of either Zoro's sensei or Kuina, it was definitely a big surprise that both were descendants of the famous Shimotsuki family. Likewise, no one would suspect that an old man in such a small village would be not only a samurai from Wano, but also one of the greatest swordsmiths of all time. What would interest me at this point, how did Zoro get to this village in the first place? Could it possibly be that Kuzaburo brought him to the East Blue? I'm already so curious when we will find out more about Zoro's lineage. However, it now makes a lot more sense how the Wado Ichimonji could have come into possession of Kuina and then Zoro in the first place. You could tell that Zoro now had a better understanding of how to use Enma. If Oden's other sword worked in a similar way, you can imagine what an insane amount of Haki it took to be able to handle both. It appeared as if Zoro had unconsciously used Conqueror's Haki for the second time. Still, the ending was an absolute epic moment and I got goosebumps and nostalgic feels when he mentioned the promise he made with Luffy.  |

| they would add some more detail from the SBS, I guess mfs really hate Zoro, no even decent animation. The preview to my boy Sanji's fight was wild though. I can't wait. |

| Episode was so incredibly dull. There didn't need to be entirely recreated flashback scenes of events we already knew, and the Apoo vs CP0 scene was horribly animated. It gave me second-hand embarrassment. |

| Man people need to learn to look at things from a different lens and perspective so to speak. The majority of you enjoyed this episode but there are a few that still think unless its panel by panel in terms of the manga pacing, then its utter trash and that is NOT always the truth. The manga is just a way for oda to communicate the story and organize the events as he sees them. There are some chapters, where very little happens at all and only the cliffhanger has much of a relevence in the story and then there are chapters where not enough exposition or backstory is provided. IN the same vane episodes in the anime are like this. This is one of those episodes that helped emphesized zoro's moment with appropraitely placed flashback that mind you we have not seen in years, which gave us more context behind the development of zoro and so his last line had even more emotional weight then what was protrayed in the manga. Even though the Chapter included parts of Sanji's battle as well. If I was oda, I would say this episode was beautifully directed and probably greater then how he structed the material in the CH. That is just my two cents. Some times you have to look at things from an outside point of view as if you are a producer instead of just focusing on Manga pacing Vs anime all the time. |
