| Ehh... I'm not really liking their dynamic. If Konoha at least had a smidgen of an idea of kinda liking Satoko beyond her being useful then I might have bitten, but seeing some girl pretty much threaten another into being useful is kinda sad if anything. Then we get all this fun animation and cute designs... but if they're gone then what's the point? Maybe they'll show up again, but eh. Also, I'm admittedly a little meh about death being treated so lightly. I didn't think it would be so prominent that we lost like three people in an episode. I can take it if it were actually funny, but it just isn't as funny as I thought. So yee, I'm out. |

@Piromysl And since that tweet, the studio has released over 90 episodes of anime in 5 years, which is about a cour and a half per year.
I can understand why the author misinterpreted things and wrote the tweet - I can't understand why years later someone is still referring to this misconception when reality has clearly disproved it.

That's simply not true. Bishounen tanteidan looks probably better than most seasons of Monogatari. Assault lily and go-toubun looked really good and magireco for the most part too, though not without problems in some individual episodes(and there's absolutely nothing new to the studio in that). RWBY is perhaps the only show from this period with really serious production problems - though still far from the worst in the studio's history.
And that's not to mention that сovid happened at the time and a lot of shows from a wide variety of studios ran into production problems

| What the f– I totally did not expect this one to be like this lol, not even half of the episode in and I got caught off-guard, this is unhinged... I thought this will be a fine addition to my CGDCTs this season. But still! A fun and interesting watch, and it's still cute anyways, just a little bit brutal hahaha... no way we just killed those 2 cute ninjas right? right? HanaKana as 'Konoha' just feels so perfect, I don't even know how to explain it. And I thought about it from the last scene but this is really Shaft! Oh I just love the vibes... I haven't seen any Shaft anime since Magia Record (I think?) and not really updated with Monogatari so this is a nice watch for me! |
| It's kind of weird having a "slice of life" show showing gruesome murders one minute and then having cute comedic moments the next but here we are. On that note hopefully Satoko's cuteness and naiveness influences Konoha because she's just too deadpan at the moment. |

| Haha i loved show already man and I just put it on randomly bc I’ve seen it on social media a couple weeks back and just stuck with it bc the beginning felt like a 90’s anime ong, and the character designs are so cute and brightly coloured like Satoko’s ninja outfit, it’s SO brightly purple I love it and Konoha’s design is nice as well she looks really hot and I love that little red streak she has in her hair she looks really good with that fr🔥🔥🔥 Konoha better stop treating my girl Satoko harshly man I felt so bad when she eat the little cakes pieces off the wrapper and how happy she was to still be able to try some cake like she’s so sweet and kind man I couldn’t help but feel so sad whenever Konoha was rude to her like that but ig that’s just the comedic aspect of this anime The killings in this anime is fucking funny bro at one moment everything is serious or cutesy and then BOOM Konoha stabs someone and then everything goes back to normal in the next second like this shit is so jokes I love it The animation in this show is AMAZINGGGGG man, Studio Shaft really giving us Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid type animation with the way this slice of life show just puts out fighting animation on par with the most popular shonen anime out rn🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I wasn’t expecting this to even have fanservice in it but I’m HAPPY AS HELL THAT THIS ANIME HAS SOME bc Konoha is hot asf and got some big ass tiddies man like she be wearing that tight ass black shirt that makes her tits look like they finna burst out and thank you to Yoshida for having fantasies about Konoha which allowed us to see Konoha’s cleavage, and at the end of the episode Konoha in shorts and a tank top was looking DELICIOUS ong😩😩😩 Ok enough horny talking haha, anyway this is a solid anime to me and I’m definitely gonna watch it bc it’s cute and funny, if anything idk why this anime doesn’t have the “CGDCT” tag bc this is literally that type of show imo and I didn’t see a single dude in this episode so I thought this would have it but to my surprise it doesn’t, hopefully mods add that tag bc this show is the embodiment of it   |

| Konoka-san is seriously terrifying—why is she treating Satoko like that, as if she’s an insect in her way? LOL what is this? Wait a second, did she really slaughter her friend’s dad that coldly...? Hold on—did those ninja really die that fast? They were drawn with such cool designs and seemed strong, but Konoka disposed of them in no time! Konoka’s outfit is really beautiful—it reminds me of Ranma, my favorite character! I really like Konoka, but at the same time, she’s scary! It's good that the anime set clear goals for the story: they want Konoka to climb the ranks of professional assassins, and she’ll use anyone in front of her without a second thought.  |

| It hurt to miss Shaft’s new anime in the spring, so I’m quickly rectifying that here at the start of the summer lol. First off, it looks beautiful and it’s incredibly well animated, as expected from Shaft, the homage to classic anime in the first few minutes was so cool. I really hope they can maintain this level of quality for the whole show. But about the show itself, it’s uh… really fun but surprisingly dark lol, I guess I should have seen that coming since this is a show about a ninja and an assassin but I figured with the cute art style it wouldn’t go so hard on the murder, but nah Konoha slayed two cute waifus within a minute of them being onscreen lol. It’s hard to say if I’m a fan of that or not, on one hand it makes sense and I like the balls they have to kill off cute characters, but on the other hand, it clashes with the cute and lightheartedness of the show, like didn’t Konoha kill her friend’s dad off screen near the end? That’s absolutely savage lol. But hey, if the show is willing to play off the murder like it’s funny, then I’m willing to not take the show seriously and enjoy it for what it is, and that’s being comical with a touch of sexy because boy is Konoha wielding some hidden weapons there lol. And I really like the moments with Konoha and Satoko already, so I’m willing to watch more just for these two, they have a fun dynamic despite the nature of their work. And that was a super good OP and ED pair, always love to hear HanaKana do a song for a show she’s in, and you can’t go wrong with HoneyWorks either, those were some very beautiful visuals accompanying them as well. |
