I will never be able to accept Hina's loss in this show. Harem ending would have been better.

Blue haired girl was a good addition to the show.

If it weren't for a short phase in the middle phase, this would've been a perfect show for me! It still ended up being a very great show nonetheless and I'm feeling it now that there's no more episodes to watch. Staff-no-minasan knew what they're doing and I'v already bought the 10th volume so I'm ready to continue. It would've been ideal if we got the second season announcement yesterday during its AJ'25 stage event, but I've hope it'll come around eventually. Whatever the case, I'm hopping on the manga train because of these last two episodes...

Hina-chan is such a sweetheart and I can understand the frustration from the Hina-nation but luckily for me, I've been on board with Chinatsu-senpai from the get-go. I do think Taiki should've decided earlier to end that strange limbo and I'm glad he saw it that way too. Manager-san inadvertently sped up the process and it's impossible to pin the blame on her too. Good on Chono-san for giving that mean ex of hers a reality check. I felt it when it broke through her strong guard though, can't imagine how much it must've hurt but I hope she can recover from this. Twice the pain with the final segment of her in tears underneath the mascot hood.

It's such a wonderful ride, honestly. Somehow, being 24 and working full time made this a little hard to watch initially because it felt so genuine in so many ways and throwbacks with every long shot, jeez. I stayed loyal with the Netflix broadcast until this far but Ep 24's cliffhanger was too much, xD. Strong 9/10 from here ~

Already at it with the Op, ED and the insert song from Episode 24 on loop, lol.

Solid 6/10 in the end even though it started as a 9/10.

Literally no sport, the max we have is a few smashes. The romance is honestly just a choice between a well developped character which is funny, emotionally stable and a blank canvas who thinks about basket ...

Even the blue haired manager had more character development in 5 episodes than Chinatsu in 25, makes no sense that he keeps going for Chinatsu when she refused him so many times. Worse is that we all know how this is going to end but in it makes no sense as in real life he would just get rejected by Chinatsu lmao

Overall a nice slice of life anime. But I was expecting more than a mild cliffhanger ending. I suppose we're to infer that he's going to confess to her, but still, it would have been nice to see that happen.

I didn’t like the love triangle arc. It felt like Hina only started liking Taiki after she found out he was interested in Chi. Even though it took her a while to realize her feelings, it still didn’t feel natural.

On the other hand, his relationship with Chi developed gradually in a very innocent and pure way—10/10.

This episode was so good. I feel for Hina. I've been rejected before. It hurts like heck. You eventually learn to pick yourself back up, but for a while, you are numb. Also, for the record, it's not like Taiki isn't reeling from it. He knows that she is hurting because she is now avoiding him. The talk he had with Ayame, says as much. He made up his mind, though. He wants to be Chi, and that's okay. Would it have been genuine if he had just gone along and gone out with Hina? Would he still be looking over at Chi as she's practicing? People would get on his ass if he did that. So I think what he did was better because there is no win-win situation. I'm hoping there will be another season! I've seen leeks or rumors on Twitter that there would be a s2, but it's all speculation.

Goated anime finally a romance after such a long time (maybe not so long) where it feels like I'm living in it and the characters, the world and the story it feels so alive 9/10 near perfect adaptation of the manga 10/10 visuals and ost's which really elevated the source material it had I really hope we get a season 2 announcement soon!

The anime that pretends to be a love triangle but never was. I honestly couldn't make myself to like the two main characters, on the other end all the side characters were incredible The art was enjoyable to see too even when the quality got worse over time I still liked it nonetheless. Even the CGI wasn't too bad, though did get worse nearing the end. Though overall I wouldn't ever watch a second season of Blue Box, it felt like a true chore to get through the episodes. Plus some of these scenes were so cringey that I felt the need to poke my eyes out. So for all that combined I rate it a 5/10

Kind of a meh stopping point. Overall, a very enjoyable anime but the Hina stuff was a bit too forced. I think they would have been better staying close friends without all the drama

It took away from the main points of the story.

7/10 but I will give it a +1 for the animation quality and overall DA.

Still 25 episodes of what feels like barely enough character development and story building for 12 episodes.

Also, JUSTICE FOR HINA!!

See you in 2 years for S2, production was greenlit.

Really feel for Hina here. At least Ayame realized what her little meddling caused. And she's trying her utmost to cheer Hina back up as well. Quite surprised that Hina hasn't played air hockey before. Used to love that when i was a teen. If anything i think both Ayame and her ex misjudged each other though for the better in Ayame's case. The bunny mask showed well the kind of despair that Hina is feeling right now. Can't wait to see how the date goes in the next season.

I enjoyed this anime, but this ending is disapointing...
I was gonna put a 9 but nope

Taiki is so useless, all of this for nothing ? He and Chii have zero evolution, or its very slow... she should do the first step because he's never gonna, its frustrating

Poor Hina, MVP of the show !

Welp, for season 1 at least, I really think Hina is the heroine here.
Even last episode Chi is irrelevant in season 1 story, and the studio doesn't even bother to make the last episode special for Chi.
The climax/ finale clearly happened at ep 24. All the drama and even the kiss scene is given to Hina.

Chi barely does anything/ contribute anything to the story in season 1.
We learned that she's nice and hardworking since ep1 , and she's pretty much the exact same person at the end of season with zero development, and you want me to buy that she's the heroine?
I even think the "bitch" manager is more interesting and have more development than Chi here, and she only shows up for 5 episodes. (and I already like her more than Chi)

Well, since Hina is pretty much out of the equation from now on, I probably don't need to bother with season 2.
Plus no more Love Triangle drama anymore which would probably make the plot boring, at least for me. (I already knew season 2 is about Chi's basketball partner / basketball career which I have zero interest in.)
@Ventus_S You're completely ignoring the fact that Chii was constantly driving Taiki to be better, but alr. Man I love Hina, but some of y'all are insane lmao

That last line "I hate that this series about Taiki x Chinatsu is about Taiki x Chinatsu" XD

Ayame comforts a crying Hina, feeling kind of responsible for directing both of Hina and Taiki to the gym. Seeing Hina, Ayame, usually being the one who breaks up, is offered a perspective of what it's like for a girl to be rejected. Ayame is not aware who the person Taiki rejected Hina for is at this point. Perhaps thinking Kyo was right.

It's not easy for Taiki the morning after since they can't go back to being friends like they were. At least Haryuu is help him focus on badminton.
Kyo knows more than Ayame does. I felt Kyot's words there, almost a fourth wall break.

Damn, the gap kept widening between Haryuu and Taiki...and he was tired. But Haryuu conquered his fear doing that as he remembered his own losses and Taiki's victory against Yusa.

Taiki recently made up his mind about who he's going to pursue without confusion. He asked her out but wasn't prepared for a destination. He improvised, suggesting a shopping date for a new tracksuit. Fortunately, this is also after Chinatsu-senpai's recent decision to "fight", and she wants him to take her to a café in exchange. 1 point to Chinatsu!

Ayame cheers Hina up after what happened at the training camp, but she runs into one of her own exes, listing all sorts of reasons in front of her. Hina rightfully comes to her defence.

Trying to normalize their relationship or....? Just confronting Taiki about it... yup, he can't return to being friends with Hina at the moment and that's painful for him too. Taiki can't answer Ayame's question, as that would be comparing Hina's qualities to Chinatsu; he just knows who he likes.

Hina, in the bunny head, she can't let her teammates know how broken she is.

Ending as Taiki meets Chinatsu at the meetup spot.... ahhh can't wait for season 2.

Show definitely dragged a bit in the middle of the season but overall very enjoyable. While I find it harder to really get invested in high school dramas like this; the last two episodes were probably some of the best I've seen in recent memory. I do wish we got more povs from everyone in the show, feel like some of the depth for Chinatsu is missing because of that. But even with that the last two episodes bumped this to an 8/10 for me.

Now that Taiki is resolute, decisions should be easier now. Should be. This is still a teen romance so there are still bound to be bumps on the road. Though, it took 25 episodes before he actually made a first move (according to some). I do hope these two got their feelings properly sorted out for the second season.

Let's see, what do I have to say about this series?

It was very interesting to follow Ao no Hako (Blue Box). I remember that I started watching it when there was only the first part on Netflix and I was super excited when I saw that there would be a second part so soon.

My conclusions are good, I would give it something around 8.5, it has good points, but some that could be improved.

But overall, it was a series that I loved following and I was anxious every Thursday to see what would happen in the next episode. I held back at some points so as not to watch the manga (which I'm going to do now), but I hope that from this point on there will be character and general progress.

I'm surprised at how good a character Ayame turned out to be. The way she helped Hina this episode, plus the way this whole situation has changed her mindset, has made me do a total 180 on her. I also really like her and Kyo's dynamic.

Yeah I figured that Hina would continue to suffer and that was hard to watch. While I like that Ayame comforted her she was still the catalyst that started this but it was bound to happen at some point I suppose. With S2 greenlit I hope that if we continue to see Hina that she recovers and moves on.

Regarding Chinatsu, she accepted Taiki's date so I'm sure we'll see her character progression proceed in S2... but Hina... Anyways, this was an overall good watch except for the rejection.

@CarbonMD doing a harem ending to everything is the romance equivalent of reviving every dead character in a drama, its cheap and generally shows a fear commit the narrative to anything meaningful in favor of trying to pander to fans.

Ayame is the real MVP of this episode; I really loved how she took care of Hina (who deserves so much better)! <3

Also, it took twenty-five episodes, but Taiki finally made a move... and we didn't even get to watch the date, lol.

Overall, not a good season, I give it a 6/10; it was mostly fine, with inconsistent animation and writing (including way too many clichés and fake-outs).
