I kinda felt let down by this season. Many of the emotionally impactful moments didn’t stick the landing because there was too little buildup leading up to them, or because they were hurried through without time to breathe. All the makings of a 10/10 season were there, but the execution was like a 6/10 at best. Hearing about all the things from the LN that were skipped altogether too just makes me feel even more disappointed. Possibly my favorite show that’s airing rn, and here I am giving it one of the lowest ratings of anything I’ve watched this season

It was a well-adapted season, part 2 being the stronger half of season 2 overall. There were some omissions made throughout if a 1-for-1 comparison was made based upon source material and show, and while most of it was inconsequential interactions being cut, there were some other interactions among the core cast/supporting cast that were missing or toned down considerably, if memory serves.

Anyway, it was a strong season of anime. I think that Studio Bind is doing a fantastic job with this series.

Sylphie with longer hair, mommy aura.

My goodness what a fantastic performance by Norn VA Saya Aizawa, i need to remember her name.

Oh boy emotional rollercoaster for the Finale.

I couldn't hold my tears near the end of the episode when Rudeus visit Paul grave.
Like father like son huh.
Rest in Peace Paul, Thank You!!

Eris is BACK?
I can't wait for their reunion, it's gonna be spicy for sure.

Another 9/10 for Season 2 Part 2.

Very weird and unusual character writing for everyone who isn't Rudeus. Their personalities change to adapt to what hes feeling, seeing and needing to express as a character or rather changing to match whatever the author wishes to do with Rudeus. Syphie and Roxy have been reduced to having just no real coherent personality.

On the plus side, way better than the last part. WAY better directing. Immeasurably better. Still though falls flat compared to the first season in terms of characters, intrigue, story, action. 7/10. Would have gave a 6 but episode 10 and 11 had me crying.

I see people hating on Rudeus but i think that Mushoku Tensei is one of the best anime rn. Domt get me started on its sexual aspects it is what it is. I personally think that they are impo to the series n it was like it since the begging and it wont change. so we need to take what we r given.
10/10 btw

Every time Rudeus has it good, I worry how he will mess this up, but maybe he has grown up a bit. Most creepy/awkward moments were out of considerations of others.

Time to break ALL the news to the fam.

Sylphie over here all giddy and welcoming Rudeus back not knowing at all what's about to happen. But yeah. more than anything, I knew that Norn and Aisha's reaction to the whole ordeal was going to be the biggest moment. Though Aisha was more calm than I expected her to be. I mean even an adult would start freaking out and crying like Norn did. Whatever though, the more important and uh worser news to break was the fact that Rudeus wanted to wife best girl.

Gotta say though, Norn's seiyuu killed it this episode. And while she had a point, it really isn't that much of Rudeus' fault. She was kinda getting on my nerves towards the end because, idk if you know this Norn, YOUR DAD WAS THE EXACT, AND I MEAN EXACT SAME AS HIM. Dude just look at Aisha. But obviously the more mature person between the child and adult is the adult in the end, and Rudeus' harem thus begins. And as well as Rudeus' life as a dad and Sylphie's life as a mom also begins. Entire scene with Rudeus at Paul's grave made me shed a year man ":(

Rudeus' life has just now truly begun. A life given all thanks to Paul. His life in this other world continues, ofc in season three.

What a fucking season man. Part 1 was a downgrade on all fronts to many, and this season has easily brought those peoples back to the show. Thank you Bind. See you in season three.

P.S AHHHHHHHH ERIS IS BACKKKKK WOOOOOOO!!!

@IzanaSolos I don't think Norn had a point at all. Yeah if you look at it realistically, she does. But she literally idolizes her father who did the same shit and her step sibling shes close to is a product of another mother as well. Moreso, she lashed out at someone who literally saved her at her weakest moment. She simply hates Rudy and that is the only reason she lashed out the way she did. She sucks and is a big hypocrite.

@VKDOOM nah Norn acted like her age, it's Aisha who's weird. she's really mature for her age. I think Norn takes on her dad while Aisha takes on her mom.

I wonder a bit about the mangod's prediction that he would regret going. If he never went, then Roxy would've died and Paul... probably as well, trying to save his wife. But Rudy would've lived with Sylphie without any drama and both of his arms.

Anyway, as expected the harem starts. I really enjoyed the first 9 episodes, but then it has gotten out of hand. Sylphie is just too good for him, I mean she was always a pleasant girl, but in this episode she also was just drop dead gorgeous. Unfortunately she agreed to start the harem with Roxy, I was really not looking forward to that. And I have a feeling that at some point Eris will also join as third wife... it's still a good show, but I really hoped that Rudy would improve a bit more. 7/10

Remembering that Rudeus was a recluse in his past life and now has a beautiful family, surrounded by people who love him and whom he loves too, brings me great joy.

I was frightened that Rudeus would regret it even more, but at the birth, I felt relieved and genuinely happy for him. I remembered the challenges he had to face, and after so much suffering, a bit of happiness can make anyone cry.

Now it seems he will deal better with the memories of his past life and will use this to seek personal growth and try to be a good father. The family is likely to grow, and I hope to follow along, just as with the upcoming adventures.

See you next season. đź’–

What a degenerate ending to a good season. A child having more morals than Rudi, Syl and Roxy combined. Absolutely disgusting, they'll probably turn even Norn into a degen just like them over time.

Norn being a professional hater redeemed this episode lmao.

Maybe part of it has to do with being spoiled, but I did not like how the past three episodes were handled (or at the very least paced.) Imagine having a whole season dedicated to fixing Rudy's broken dick but only three episodes to process Paul's death and progress Roxy route at the same time.

One good part of the season finale though is Sylphie. Her character archetype usually ends up being forgotten for most harems, but here she's developed as a character that makes her status as the first wife being earned. To put in better terms, I guess its how despite not being as proactive like other female leads, she still takes that lead heroine role.

Good way to wrap up the season. Tied together Rudeus's mentality after the loss of his mother and father. The brief fight between Rudeus and Norn created a brief tension that was broken by Sylphie's open welcome. Even at the end, Eris was teased for the upcoming season. We didn't hear anything else about Hitogami and his "You will regret going to Begaritt" comment but it was briefly mentioned on the way home.

That's a nice way to end the season, the baby is born, and Rudeus has two wives now, lmao.

And Sylphie with short hair, she's so gorgeous!

Well, the next season is in production and it's confirmed. Just have to be patient and wait...

Anime wise, I think season 1 is still better, but I prefer the latter volumes of the light novel. Guess I'm gonna catch up reading while waiting.

Great, now Rudy has 2 wives and both of them are on the small-ish side people are gonna start assuming Rudy's "type" (which to be fair they aren't exactly wrong). I mean we've already seen Linia and Pursena assuming that with just Sylphy but now that he has 2 of them he can't really defend himself. And not just other people but Sylphy and Roxy themselves would probably look at each other and think that, Sylphy probably imagined that when Rudy brings home another woman she would be big, voluptuous and curvy but instead he brings someone even smaller than she is.

Intense and wholesome episode. A little cringy here and there, but still a great 5/5 season finale.
Only thing that doesn't add up: why do they keep saying Zenith is just amnesiac and that her mind is intact? She seems to be at least deeply autistic.

There were some moments were they dropped the ball at the end, e.g. the fight, and Rudeus immediately assuming the worst when he entered the house etc. If Aisha had shown up even 30 second later, she would have found her father in a catatonic state. I assume that with "he will regret something" the god always meant Paul's death, it's only the situation (the teleport shortcut comes up after, so it would take ~2 years to the round trip, so he would miss the birth of his first child, and obviously a much higher chanve for *anything* to happen) and the way it's presented that it leads to the assumption that something would happen at home. Rudeus was misled there, as well, that's why he freaked out when he got back. But Paul's death as weill as his own injury was completely avoidable - the hydra barely even grazed someone a couple of times, from what was shown those wounds wouldn't even have needed attention, certainly not during combat, but Roxy healed faster than even the hydra did. Of course, the wounds might be toned down for the anime, but still, they totally dominated that fight once they figured out that cautering the wounds works. It happend becasue Rudeus stored off into space, and that not only once, but at least twice.

Also, i absolutely can't stand it if characters talk in a fake whisper for no reason. Everyone is talking normally, and the main characters fake whispers where everyone can still hear him etc. Rudeus sometimes even switched to talking normally for a couple of words, but then went back. It's incredible grating, but seems to become more commonl lately. Still, after managing to complete Vinland Saga S2, where Thorfinn does that like 95% of the time, a couple minutes of Rudeus doing it was nothing..

Overall, the season was real good, I especially liked that all characters seems to have their own agenda. Not in the way of "hidden agenda, is going to backstab Rudeus" or such, but that they had their own lives, their own wishes. Time didn't stop becaus Rudeus wasn't there, and they didn't spring into existince just because they were needed for this point of the story. E.g. wthat ever happend between Ruijard and Badigadi, Roxy not recognizing Rudeus because he changed so much, Nanahoshi only wanting one thing from him and it's disgusting his help in getting her home, she doesn't care about him being famous, or his family (or not all that much) etc., she probably only visited the wedding feast because of the potato chips..

They did a really good job showing that everyone is their own person and not an NPC in Rudeus story.

On top of that I really like that in general time actually passes in Mushoku Tensei. Of course it's kinda central to the story, but even some school anime sometimes from inconsistent time, when theyy have five summer breaks and chrstmas three times in the same school year... other anime do a time skip, and everyone looks slighty different, but even though it's been 10 years or whatever, everyone is still doing the exact same thing, everyone still lives were they lived before, they didn't meet anyone new, they didn't pick up a new hobby etc.

What an emotional episode huh? Long hair sylphie is to be appreciated ofc. The whole deal with Roxy being accepted or not as a 2nd wife was chill to see since Sylphie accepts her as part of Rudy's harem- I mean 2nd wife yes. It was pretty heartbreaking to see Norn break down from the news about Paul's death. Also didn't realize Norn is a milis follower but now ik ig.

From to beginning to the end this season was fantastic honestly. I'll give this 2nd part of season 2 a 9.5 but ima go with a 9 score for this one because it only lacks animation and nothing else.

Well that’s the end of that.

Everyone makes it back safely and Rudy had nothing to worry about. The Man God told Rudy that he would feel regret, but losing Paul wasn’t what he meant, so what else could happen as a result? If anything he would have regretted never going in the first place since Roxy would surely be dead if he never went. So there’s something missing here…

Well I forgot that the news needed to be brought to Norn and Aisha, and they took it as expected. It would be hard for anyone to hear that their father was killed in battle and their mother has lost all their memories.

Beyond that we have the news of Roxy’s introduction to the family. Norn was tearing Rudy a new one, and she was halfway justified in what she said. Rudy did originally agree to only one wife, but Roxy isn’t some random little girl, so Norn has gotta learn to respect her. I knew that Sylphie wouldn’t have any issues as she was expecting Rudy to have a concubine going into this marriage, so I’m glad everything has worked out.

And that conversation Rudy had with Paul was so heartwarming. Rudy opening up about how he’s survived using his knowledge of his previous life and how he thought of Paul in the first place is just… wow. It seems things are working out for everyone else and I’m glad that things are moving joyfully.

What will come of Lucie Greyrat. I wonder when Eris will come into the picture (as we did see her in the ending and she’s likely still with Ghislaine).

Man I’m excited for Season 3.
