Something that I really loved as a motif is the representation of love through the world shifting, how it resonates with character feelings to express their doubts, pain and intense emotions. And please, don't freaking say its even somewhat close to Shinkai movies - its entirely different entity, just because it features barrier-like elements and has amazing visuals doesn't mean its trying to imitate Shinkai. It went it own (better) way, two worlds intertwining themselves don't even represent the same function as Shinkai barrier theme... yeah, I'm just salty hearing from people how it somehow reminds them of it, I can understand seeing resemblances to Maquia but definitely not Shinkai. Either way, this movie is a peak of 2023. |
