| this was the first episode that actually lived up to my expectations of this season. I heard so much praise about this 2nd season, seen the high score of 8.75 but it has been nothing but average so far. Sure the animation quality and the directing is very nice, the world building is very very good. But not much that actually had some lasting impact has happened so far. Until this episode. this was a banger. unfortunate that it came so late, wont give the season a higher score because of that |
| IIRC in episode 9 of the first cour Hitogami told Rudeus Rudeus: Meaning that you didn't make me reincarnate into this world? Hitogami: Well, no. The wicked Dragon God is better at that sort of thing So I wonder why Orsten didn't seem to be aware of Rudeus' existence. This episode really did live up to the hype before, I'll never understimate a Turning Point episode again. I loved the fact that they explained why Rudeus didn't feel any fear when they saw Orsten. There are so many gaping questions that have opened after this episode and I feel like we have barely scratched the surface of this world and things to come. |
| Spoilers for the first few seconds dread it, run from it nothing you can do about it, That sparring session was refreshing to see I say as Eris improved a lot now So it all comes to this I'm actually quite relieved they didn't even take it farther from the episode, And Rudeus has to mention he knows an entity as equal to a God well he's basically dead Another talk with the Man God I thought Orsted said Man Child well he does act like one so It fits quite well, An expression that I didn't expect from Eris damn our dere is giving her heart out for her concern to Rudeus. |

| Wow. This anime does not hold back with its turning points. I was so on the edge of my seat I thought Ruijerd was definitely gonna die, I'm so glad he didn't. Eris is slowly climbing up as one of my favorite characters, she's so aggressive and quick to react, not to mention her sword fighting is AMAZING. |
| I'm gonna be real, I did not like that fake out death, it kind of ruined the whole episode for me, still excited to see what happens next, but disappointed that the story was going pretty well up until this point. |

| aight we actually got a serious fight scene this time, wanting for a while to use this impressive animation on something else besides just training scenes that being said Rudeus has kept quiet about this God to all the people he trusts yet the one he decides to talk to about it happens to be the fishiest guy out there like wtf? Rudeus you deserved to get killed at this point, still really good episode, my guess is that Orsted s compannion also comes from another world? then again is an Isekai so she d ve whatever from a magical creation or a being that just can ignore that curse |

If you're looking for a power fantasy where the MC just keeps trying to find ways to get stronger, I'm sorry but this series is not for you, MT isn't a shounen, as a matter of fact, more than half of the next season will be SOL. Rudeus doesn't even like fighting, he just wants to settle down and have a peaceful life. |

| God damn. This episode was absolute insane. Eris made so much progress in her training fights with Ruijerd that he acknowledged her as a full-fledged warrior. Until then everything was just fine. Seeing Eris and especially Ruijerd so scared that they stopped immediately walking, had me thinking what kind of monster was coming closer. Rudeus sometimes lacks so much awareness of what's happening in tense situations, because even when Ruijerd told him and Eris not to move any muscle, he did the complete opposite. Sure, he wasn't affected by Orsted's curse, but in such a moment aren't you asking yourself why both of your friends are so scared? Sorry, but I don't get this stupidity. Nonetheless the short "fight" between Ruijerd and Orsted had such amazing and smooth animation, I absolutely loved it. That's also the very first time we've seen Ruijerd getting overwhelmed by something. I guess it has to be expected in a fight against the dragon god himself. Rudeus performed an impressive spell, which even Orsted seemed a little bit surprised by. When Rudeus actually got penetrated, I had no clue how he could potentially survive. The Man-God definitely gave some interesting information, but to think Rudeus first gets killed by Orsted and healed afterwards is strange to say the least. What did that girl Nanahoshi mean by "Something's been bothering me. Maybe he's..."? Anyways, the main thing is that Rudeus, Eris and Ruijerd are all fine. Nothing else matters at this point. |

| Really great ep. It was sweet that Eris became a full-fledged warrior! When Rudy first started talking to the Dragon God I was like what are you doing!! Sense the danger haha. Basically got himself killed but oh well. A lot of plot to uncover here. Wonder what the story is with the Dragon God and the Man-God. And how does the Dragon God know so much about everything? And who is the girl and why did Rudy end up getting healed? Guess we’ll find out eventually! Hype fight scenes too. As expected the #2 ranked fighter in the world is strong as heck (arguably #1). Keen to see the Technique God as well. |

| Holy shit. This episode was crazy. I guess the episode lived up to its name. Orsted is a beast. I guess Season 1 really is reaching its climax since we saw the 2nd most powerful being in the world so soon. I wonder what Nanahoshi said that led Orsted to heal Rudeus like that. He's mysterious. And I think it's pretty obvious that he can see the future. Or at least a version of the future. He probably has a demon eye just like Rudeus but way more powerful. And Hitogami is sus as hell. Though I know a few things already thanks to spoilers. I also love the fact that Eris went from hating Rudeus to caring about him deeply. I thought Roxy was best girl up until now but damn Eris is making it hard for me. |

| Part 2 is another high-8/10 just like Part 1, but it's this episode that propels it to a 9 for me. Not just because of what happens, but because of how much deeper this world gets, without even telling you anything. When you just thought that you knew everything, well actually you don't. Orsted comes by and brings upon a whole new layer. Man can time-travel, or at least, know the future? WHAT?? Rudeus is WHO?? Orsted brought him back to life, WHY?? What is going on. I am deeply immersed in every single episode of mushoku tensei. This episode doubled my immersion. And besides the questions that arise that no doubt pique all of our curiosities, what better way to introduce a f*cking character than to have your mule run off the mountainside and kill itself out of pure fear, or to have the warrior-like Eris and Ruijerd stop frozen in their tracks. Which, Rudeus doesn't seem to care much for some reason, much to the annoyance of a lot of us here. Shouldn't the dude have picked up that maybe this wasn't the best time to strike up a conversation? Anyway, honestly the best moment of the whole episode that gave me the most chills was just one that lasted for a second, and that was when Rudeus looked at Orsted with his demon eye. Holy sh*t. In that moment he should've known, this is someone you don't want to play around with. Another moment that kind of cut deep? That would be Eris, yelling for all the people she knows, despite being deep in the snowy mountainside, simply out of desperation to save Rudeus. What a freaking turning point indeed. Everything was just fine and dandy just a moment ago, they had just liberated some families, Ruijerd had acknowledged Eris as a warrior, Rudeus pinched Eris' nipple, etc. Everything was fine, and then all of a sudden it's not. I just love how this encounter just also broadens the horizon of this story and its world, because even though we're not told ANYTHING, we know there is so much more than meets the eye. Who is this man-god, and what does this weirdo want. Does he want Rudeus dead? Obviously not, he was probably the one who reincarnated him into this world- apparently he's not even supposed to be here. Many questions, all for another time. Well I've never wanted to know more about a story/world than here. This is genuinely the most interested I've ever been to want to learn more about any world from any anime. edit: actually I'd still have to say for myself that AOT has the most interesting world, but this comes really, really close. |
