Adonis got his much needed power boost but damn, that looked almost as painful as he is powerful now. His enemy is still no pushover so this turned into one of the most intensive fight of the show.

This fight kinda went as I had expected though and they manage to survive. Chloe also shows up for a brief moment in spirit so the anime didn't forget about her. This episode's title kinda explains for itself..love and revenge.

Humanity seriously need to ditch the idea of sending just one person to take down these two.

Under the enchantment of Doroka's love magic, Adonis transforms into the knight of the princess aka Doroka relentlessly cornering Shirousagi with overwhelming magical prowess and strength. Shirousagi is astonished as he witnesses a colossal spell containing a power that no ordinary human could withstand. It turns out to be the magical pact that Adonis and Chloe had once promised.

Well, I have to admit, despite not really vibing with this show, that moment was pretty awesome. Seeing their connection make things happen and Doroka, whose magic used to be seen as gross, pulling off such a strong move is definitely going to boost her confidence. Moving forward, this girl needs to realize it's a tough world out there – it's either fight or be fought. Gotta keep that softer side in check. And about that Absolute Zero magic, wasn't that what Chloe was planning to use before everything went south? If it weren't for that device, the human kingdom would've been in serious trouble when she unleashed it. All this talk about the multiverse makes me think that Doroka might be the same queen, just in a different multiverse where she and Adonis were in love.

Every time I watch this show, it feels like it's made by a teen who's recently embraced an 'edgy' phase, and, honestly, that doesn't bode well.

With Doroka's Love Spell of Knightfall inflicting Adonis as a last resort, the fight against Shirousagi can finally weave its last.

Adonis's burst of energy definitely caught Shirousagi off guard as he proceeds to break the cybernetic assassin, and as if he's going to give space to the one who defiled Doroka, the witch would support him as he turns into one of the most defiled power-heavy magic sequences: Absolute Zero, a spell so cold with a blizzard that spans its perimeter as much as Punch and his men can literally feel the pinch. And that spell, is something that Chloe taught him to only use it to protect his loved ones, like with Doroka. Thankfully, even after all that magic dispelled, Adonis is still beating his heart alive, as Shirousagi concedes defeat, hoping to find the Incarnation in another ensembleverse (which this is a reference to the author's earlier work: The Kingdoms of Caliburn).

Wherever Dorothea goes, the entire Redia Empire simps for her, because of her Love Spell. And her next ambition, is to declare a war against other nations, which is a rather big feat. To Adonis, Doroka is the kind who is pure-hearted and will apologize for her actions that would displease the witch's apprentice, though he has also come to accept her overtime, and with that, they make their move to their next destination.

The sakuga fest of the finale, delivered, and exceeded my expectations. Not that this show was ever good to begin with...but it definitely is a "so bad it's good" edgy type of show.

The half-assed-ness of everything from production to storytelling hampered the potential of this series. One that was built on interesting and solid worldbuilding foundation.

The 2nd season needs to step up in everything, better animations, better story, be more depressing and double down on gore. make it supremely “edgy and deadly”.

So, he could've used that crazy ice spell in the very beginning and wipe out intire city, but didn't because.. plot. Also, when he said it was his fault that girl lost her sight i almost choked. Dumb idiot hit that rabbit's leg instead of going for the kill because of her own naivety.

Despite everything i think the show isn't so bad and had some promise, but that ending with implied different nations and world conflict is dead end. Just another shounen sludge that will drag on as long as author can make some money from it.

Coming from manga.

Nope, overall story, far from over. But that at least it concluded like a chapter, so you wont be left cliffhanger and force to go for manga/ln ...

What a boring anime, it managed to be worse than that shit Ragna Crimson lol.
The worst part of all is that I was really enjoying until the part about the witches in space, but after that, when it was just the two of them, the story went downhill, with Adonis acting like a badass without being so and the annoying girl being annoying (but how she's cute, I have to like her), not to mention the stupid slapstick humor they put in the middle of the story and this love spell that was a hell of a deus ex-machina.
I wanted to like this anime because I liked the theme, but I didn't...
Well, screw it too lol.

Damn, my fave show of the season is officially over 😢 felt like we just got started on Doroka and Adonis journey, not to mention the queen on the verge of declaring war. Lot of set up for things to come that we’ll likely never see in anime form, so onto the manga.

Epic conclusion to the Adonis v Usagi fight. Really shows the terrifying the nature of Love magic. That ice spell didn’t just affect the immediate area of the fight, but the country as a whole. Pretty crazy what Doroka is capable of. And I doubt she’s anywhere close to maxing out her abilities.

Can’t say I felt any type of sympathy for Usagi at the end there. Gleefully killed people and was a sadistic fuck, not to mention gouging Doroka eyes out, so fuck em. He did mention some interesting stuff, though. Talked about this ensembleverse like he was Kang or some shit multiple times. Also brought up the “incarnation”. Said Doroka and Adonis reminded him of the queen and “him” I was confused about it so I did a little research and it turns out this is actually the sequel to a manga that came out a while ago. Kind of weird to adapt the sequel, but not the original story, oh well lol

Dorothea is one of the most bizarre characters ever, just causally goes for a jog while listening to her own music, relishes everyone staring at her and then comes back to the castle give the world an ultimatum. We did get a cool look at the other countries in this world during that time. The single mother kingdom in particular made me go wtf, very interesting world this one.

Lot of people set to come after Adonis and Doroka now. Of course you’ve got the queen, white haired dude, girl who hopped out of the bacta tank I’m assuming is the first guy Adonis killed in episode 2’s sister? Can’t remember. But a lot of cool plot stuff I’m excited to read about.

On the relationship end of things, Doroka and Adonis have grown a lot closer after this sense death experience. The way Adonis talks to her is much softer and more compassionate. He realises she’s not just saying shit for the sake of it and is genuinely a very kind person, reminding him a lot of Chloe. Speaking of Chloe, was that actually her spirit that came down and hugged Adonis? Very sweet scene

Adonis claims the love spell didn’t have any effect on him, but idk, he’s got the tsundere act down pact for Doroka. He definitely really cares about her. Very cute handholding at the end! Hopefully they can find a fix for her eyes soon. In the meantime, they’ll have to literally walk side by side as they deal with whatever the future holds. She understands his revenge now and he understands her love.

he jobbed so hard, "durr, I would have lost without your love spells!1!" meanwhile all of the flying hands are literally made of wet toilet paper. Also, he used the world's slowest spell at the end there, it literally took over half the episode for the dude to finally die, when he could have diced him with the blade spell earlier. This show went from HOLY EDGE to boring to EDGE to boring again really quick.

Was it really necessary to use such high scale magic 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Season 1 seemed very pointless so many half hearted decisions made by author . Atleast in the final scene doroka said "revenge isn't bad" which gives me hope that thr motive will be straightforward next season(if it's not then will drop it midway)
Overall it was pretty annoying to watch only stayed for doroka but still the story was not that good

If Doroka didn't have Ideals and a back bone the show would have been fairly decent.

Eh, I thought this series started on a promising note but then went downhill in the 2nd half. It felt somewhat random and ambiguous, for example why did Adonis freeze up that city and region that he was in? I think he would've defeated Shirousagi without that. On that note the love spell gave him super saiyan-type power for some reason, I guess that's part of Doroka's ability? Also seeing the queen jogging in public without security was really strange and risky. Then there's Yuki's who is back after I thought she died and now she's apparently seeking vengeance for her deceased brother, ok then. Lastly there's some strange sounding kingdoms like a single-mother type lol. 6/10

This anime had some intriguing ideas, but I can’t say I enjoyed the execution all that much. Episode 6 onward felt like an entirely different show that didn’t really appeal to most people; people who liked the edginess don’t want to sit through a buddy-comedylike for episodes straight and the people who prefer more story driven anime can’t really enjoy the world building because the characters feel disjointed (or, at its worst, contradictory) when paired with the first set of episodes.

The nicest thing I can say is that the backgrounds in this show were gorgeous (in particular I liked the main city and the abandoned, overgrown town at the end) and the anime’s choice in colors complimented its nihilistic tone. Better to be bad than boring, I suppose.

You know thos floating hand you control (that float even though they ostensibly only have thrust in the back), if your enemy is using them as foot holds maybe.... move them?

speaking of which, even if he breaks your arm and legs... you control a swarm of floating hands... just move yourself out of the attack area.

Adonis does an city wide ice attack for a single enemy and the enemy still survives to drop future plot points basically robbing the huge spell of the weight it should carry as an absolute devastating move.

"not even your bones will remain" said to one of the first enemies that may not even have bones.

Silently putting out your hand to a blind person to take is a d!ck move.

Was adonis to only use his magic to protect or only the absolute Zero spell, cause why should her care now if he hadn't before.

where did Chloe's spirit come from? I guess she was really down with the light side of the force?

and finally the grand takeaway the writers needed to audience to leave with. "I finally know now. Revenge isn't bad."

Finally finished this series...!

I think this episode is better than the previous episodes but the slow down moments need fixing imo. The cyborg guy was flying slowly and MC is just jumping around on his Cyborg's hands in a normal speed... that's... dragging it too far, as always. If they did that without the perfect bgm for it, it's rather annoying.

Anyway, I would give around 7 because I finally got to see something more unique than the rest we usually get but most importantly, the heroine has character, and a lovely one at that. 😏
CrazyButNot4UDec 23, 2023 12:45 AM
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that the first couple of episodes were actually quite good, so I didn't drop the show thinking it would eventually get back on track. I've never been so wrong in my life.

ngl was expecting more, the fight scenes were pretty bad, at the start of the anime it looked really promising but got progressively worse. what I'm really dislike was the fight seen with Director Shirousagi bro thoes fight seems where very bad I honestly think it was a waste of time. Anyways the plot is good if you overlook the fight scenes. What I honestly wanted more was more revenge thirst from the mc and him being overpowered without anyone's help but ig we didn't really get that.

Not sure if she is desperate or if this is part of her plan. And finally it ended with Adonis and Doroka continuing their journey and finding a way to get her eyesight back
