 Another episodic episode. I honestly couldn't care less about Concubine Fuyou and her new husband. I was hoping she would give us an evil, conniving smile at the end like she keikaku'd everything but no, it didn't happen. Jinshi is still a fucking creep. I hate how he keeps touching Maomao without consent. |

| It’s about playing down oneself so that they can get what they want. Maomao understood it and waited till Fuyou left the palace, and revealed it to Concubine Gyokuyou when she asked. Jinshi heard it from his attendant. Jinshi knows that Maomao looks at him like a disgusting worm, and his attendant knows too. The attendant requests her to not look at him that way so that he doesn’t have to see his excited face 🤣🤣🤣. Someone wants Maomao’s help. |

| Sweet ending with the insert song. If things are already getting this emotional for some minor characters in episode 3, then I can't wait to see what else there's in store. |

| Well I guess, "All's well that ends well" Lady Fuyou got what she truly wanted, and that Goated military guy really work his ass hard up to the top, to the point that he's hard work recognizes by the Emperor and grant him anything he wanted. Man, her thoughts are really wild~ Lmao...  |

| This episode solidified this is a detective story, very Sherlock Holmes inspired, but trying to differentiate itself with its setting being old china and main character being a teenage girl. My impressions is that it's solid. It's refreshing to see an anime with a good amount of woman in the cast while respecting their character, but having watching stuff other than anime in recent years, I can only treat this as the bare minimum. This has some shoujo inspirations that I'm pretty sure will mean a romance in the future, which alright I guess. So far my only gripe is... it's an anime. Being outside the media made me dislike some stuff about anime like the obession that character design must make everyone with cute faces and gigantic eyes, also the unatural way girls act excited. And I have a feeling the whole "haha I have small boobs and every other girl has big boobs, let's all stare at the big boobs for 5 seconds to make dudes pay attetion" will be back so not really exciting for the cringe. Just hope in the future story improves for me to overlook those stuff |

| Absolutely banger of an episode. One of my favorite dilemmas that's been solved in the anime so far. Also great quote at the end. If love can make a woman beautiful, what medicine would it make? Would've liked to have seen Fuyou more in the show, but not saying this was paced bad. Just a personal wish of mine. |

| Very interesting. A concubine appears as a spirit, but she's apparently sleepwalking. Maomao determines that she's faking it so that she can be with her childhood love. I guess this is a love story? This show continues to be visually stunning, with amazing colours. While the animation is fairly minimal, it does what it needs to do. It's not an action show. The insert song was pretty good, too. I really enjoyed this episode. |

| Was expecting a sad ending to the episode, but I'm so glad she got her happy ending. It's very hard to rival their romance story. Couldn't get more ideal than this. |
