| This was amusing and they didn't waste much time getting Teru/Shy into her signature outfit. She's protrayed as a somewhat timid girl but helping the helpless. Seems the public acknowledged her for heroic acts in this episode. A lot of lighthearted humor although there's some actual serious moments with saving people too. Looks like the show emphasizes what it mean to be a hero and characters like Shy represents that. The transformation scenes are fire. |

| Well, a Super Sentai show where the heroine's literally the embodiment of a shy girl, it's interesting from a rather newbie author of Bukimi Miki's thought train. The 14-year-old girl of Teru "Shy" Momijiyama with her familiar of N. Vilio a.k.a ABO (which for some reason is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), she may be quite shy, but make no mistake, she's an actual hero. But an amusement park incident which in the midst, caused the death of a high school girl by the name of Iko Koishikawa, it put Teru on the spotlight so much that she hides away from the media. Just as she's about to beat herself, the Russian heroine of Pepesha "Spirit" Andreanova comes over to cheer her up. Being lost in the limelight where every nation needs a hero, Teru feels like her duty as Japan's hero felt misplaced, until a burning hotel requires the assistance of people. Being afraid like the last, Teru is afraid to step out due that she can't transform, a kid brandishing as her tries to make it big, but with the real Shy saving the little wannabe hero that helps her get on her knees. Charging into the fire to find a mother and her baby, the inferno may be big, but her heart to save is bigger, though Pepesha came back to save her...and immediately gained recognition from the crowd. To think that her lil' hero is the same kid that she rescued from the roller-coaster and her sister that survived the impact, as well as the mother and her baby, it inspired confidence in her. Indeed, Pepesha's reason for returning to Japan is to being her to the Heroes' mothership in outer space and meet the supervisor of all the heroes around the world: the Heavenly Empress Uni-Lord a.k.a Yunicchi to reemphasize why she is a hero in the first place. Indeed, it's a miracle that the Iko Koishikawa is alive being a transfer student, but Teru becoming her classmate in the process, it's an awkward feeling for her. 8-bit's animation is impressive, though that can be attributed to Lerche's in-house director Masaomi Ando who knows his stuff. Quite the My Hero derivative, hoping for a good show. |

| What a great premiere! 8Bit really did well here with the aesthetics. While Teru is a shy girl, hence the name of the anime and of her hero form, she's saving a lot of people, though she learned that you just can't save everyone. Good humour and a good balance of serious and comedic moments. Feels like a very promising show to look out for. |
| I've been waiting a long time for this adaptation and that first episode didn't deceived me. I really like the comics aesthetic used in some scene, it's very fitting and the result looks good, the animation is pretty much what I expected, simple most of the time and stepped up for action sequences. There's multiple little changes compared to the manga and I really like it because It show that the studio didn't just copy-pasted the manga and actually put thought into it like the train scene at the beginning which felt better in terms of pacing and exposition. The transformation sequence was everything I wanted to see. I also really like Pepesha's voice, it fit the character so well and I'm very curious to see how the VA will handle more emotional scene with the character. |

| I’m excited to see where this goes, an underlying threat but how will Shy be able to face such threat with a really bad case of shyness and social anxiety? Visually speaking, it looks great. I’m hoping things stay consistent with the visual side of things, as for the story and all of that I’m intrigued. It’s a bit of a while since I’ve watched this kind of show but nonetheless I liked the balance of action, comedy, and character interactions. Pretty good first episode, but no opening or ending hrmm. |

| I need to remember why I dropped the manga. As that rollercoaster accident goes, in my opinion feels strange how bad was. Isn't like the safest position to have an accident? The whole body was secured. |

| Move over mid hero, the real superhero anime is here. What a great first episode. The most relatable superhero ever, social anxiety, quiet, cute, sign me up. I like the fact Shy “failed” to save the girl at the beginning of the episode. The little PTSD spell she had was very natural for a 14 year old who’s thrust into this role. She’s just a kid, but as a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. It’s an important lesson to learn for anyone, you just can’t save everyone. Russian Hero is so mommy. Nice pep talk she gave to Shy to cheer her up, and then helping her save the mother and child trapped in the burning building. That’s a cool ability she has to be able to travel through portals. Her guidance and advice to Shy is really important at her young age Another mommy dommy.. unilord gives off Goblin Slayer vibes. Kind of mysterious.. I’m definitely really interested in this world. Almost feels as if everything isn’t as it seems. Maybe some plot twists around the corner? And would you look at that! Iko survived and is Shy’s seat neighbour. And she’s voiced by Toyama Nao ๐ Great premiere |

| Another anime with heroes and this was actually quite interesting. I like the setting, animation was good too and the voice cast is so stacked, makes the characters even more likeable. Gonna have a fun time with this. Btw there was a suspicious blonde shota present in the crowd in both incidents, really suspicious. |

| Although this manga is also a shounen, it's not a battle shounen like MyHero. You can immediately tell that the story is character driven whereas the action will have to take a backseat. I guess that's expected from a series with a heroine. The irony is that I'm doubtful whether there will be character conflicts as interesting as in MyHero or not. |

| That was pretty good, great animation and visuals, Teru is lovely, Pepesha is bae and there is a lot of mystery, there was that up to no good blonde kid but now I hope Iko is not another one of the bad guys and that the roller caster accident wasn't to break Teru's spirit. |
| Love how every superhero anime is 100x better than what the stinking carcass of Marvel gives us. Even with a drunk Russian Ms. Marvel wouldn't have come close to Shy. |

| biggest problem with the show is the limp dick protag by far. switch her with that russian chick and the score would go up by 1 point MINIMUM. also a few things I thought were weird. Why was there a media uproar of her "not saving" the girl? 1. she didn't die, she was just unconscious. 2. the most important part is... heroes have been around for how long? i am going to assume they "haven't saved everyone" so why is Shy so special? |

| Another great premiere. This season has been insane so far! Shy really went through an emotional rollercoaster. And I fear this will only get worse! I like how the girl Shy "couldn't save" wasn't just a plot device to set up the main hero! And the end of the episode in outer space also promises a very interesting world building. Uni-Lord seems quite suspicious to me, though that might also be Tiger & Bunny flashbacks. |

biggest problem with the show is the limp dick protag by far.
switch her with that russian chick and the score would go up by 1 point MINIMUM.

| Really weird to have both the "Heroes should be accountable for their actions" and the "someone got hurt while I was saving them" crisis of conscious moments in the first episode. Even moreso when they're mostly resolved by the end of the episode and it appears we're moving past that to some kind of cosmic threat |

I kinda dig the whole premise of “you can’t save everyone” even tho the anime itself went completely against that message by saving everyone(how tf did that woman already without a pulse survived that explosion is a mystery),but still,I see potential if it truly decides to follow this concept. |

| The animation already looks fire. I have high expectations. Also Spirit kinda based. Now the real question is who is that white/blonde haired boy who was shown thrice and standing there menacingly smiling at the sight of fire, that's definetly the main villain. |

| Getting some mild yuri vibes from Shy. When she met the leader of the heroes, she blushed. And she blushed again in front of the blonde-haired girl. Although that may just be her blushing due to shyness. Fingers crossed for bonus yuri. |

| This first episode flowed pretty well. The setting is intriguing and the mc unusual. Not what we could expect for a superhero story! I guess we will have the dual identity in play. It's cool when superheroes has to hide their alterego. She is not overpowerful, another good sign. The animation is also great and the characters both funny and pretty. That kid may end as her sidekick!! Let's see how it evolves! |
| True to that on what Pepesha said to Teru, Its not easy to save all people do what you can as a hero/heroine and be a beacon of hope. Strong start to the series I'm already liking this, Teru/Shy has a long way to go but I'm willing to watch her character grow. |
