 Bushiroad opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa's Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo (The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) on Tuesday. The website also revealed the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual (pictured). The fifth volume went on sale on February 21, with the sixth volume scheduled to ship on May 9. Synopsis Upon graduating middle school, Rentarou Aijou manages to confess to the girl he loves. Unfortunately, he gets rejected, making it his 100th rejection in a row. Having experienced heartbreak after heartbreak, he goes to a matchmaking shrine and prays with the hope of finally getting a girlfriend in high school. Suddenly, the god of the shrine appears, promising Rentarou that he will meet one hundred soulmates in high school. Although skeptical at first, Rentarou quickly acknowledges the truth behind the god's words when two of his soulmates—Hakari Hanazono and Karane Inda—confess to him the very same day that they meet him. However, there was one detail that the god forgot to tell Rentarou: if any of his soulmates fails to get into a relationship with him, they will die. It's part of the joke that Ren looks ordinary (besides thicc eyebrows) yet is psychically strong,smart, sociable and has good reputation from the start. And they you learn he is a perfect boyfriend/mad monster of love and does ridiculous feats like some sort of harem One-Punch man. Sounds a bit too good to be true, but if that's true I might consider watching it. It's been a while since the harem genre has surprised me though. |
