| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yeah, we finally get to see a solo fight with Katsura… unless if the “fight” with Saitou is considered as a fight. Both Katsura and Neptune are really cool and Neptune managed to swallow Katsura’s bomb and still be okay. Aww, and even Elizabeth said something heartwarming. We get Katsura flashbacks during the fight and they’re really good. Katsura was never someone who stood out during the Joui war and was considered a coward for his defensive strategies. He basically sacrifices his own reputation for the sake of the well-being of his comrades. Ah, and we get to see where the Zura gag originated from. And probably the line I was waiting for “Katsura ja nai, Zura da”! Katsura’s a savage when he sheds his cowardly skin. Zura gives no fucks when he fights seriously. He even cut off Neptune’s arm. And animations quality’s almost on par Gin vs. Takasugi’s so it makes the fight feel even better. Oh yeah, a headbutt finisher… of course. Well, I would’ve labeled it as generic if it wasn’t for Zura’s one-liner. It’s good to get more background for Katsura, who is generally just used for jokes for most of the time unfortunately. And I’m glad that during his fight, they didn’t use him as a gag or anything. And so Neptune lost the fight and the fourth division gives up and now we switch to Sakamoto’s side and how he has to confront Uranus. Sakamoto’s fleets are being attacked with some sort of hacking system. And other Gundam joke added to the list. Sakamoto and Mutsu are so cool together :D The rest of chapter 562 was adapted and 563-565. So 3 and a half chapters adapted again. Adaptation wise it felt great. It felt as fast paced as it should, plus the animation quality's top notch. I wasn't completely satisfied with the music transition at a particular moment, but that's just me nitpicking I guess. Best episode of the arc so far, and there's better to come later on. 5/5 |

| Awesome episode. Zura vs Shoukaku was so awesome, loved the fight. Zura is way too cool when he's fighting no holds barred. He even cut of Shoukaku's arm, That was amazing man. The headbutt end was pretty cool too. Loved the flashbacks that played out throughout the fight and I felt they portrayed Zura's character really well, Was really nice to see him sticking to the way of his clan, the words of his grandmother and eventually growing up as a samurai. I especially loved the flashback scene with Sakamoto telling those group of rebels how Zura is not be underestimated and is way stronger than what he normally lets on. Always happy to see the friendship among Gintoki, Takasugi and Zura when they were young. I really wish we got a little of the match between Zura and Gintoki, I'm guessing Zura won there? Looks like Shoukaku may turn against Utsuro? That should be a pretty interesting development if it happens. Sakamoto's Gundam/Zaku gag with Hankai was hilarious. XD Can't wait to see more about Sakamoto next episode. |

| Oh, I didn't expect Zura's fight to be this awesome. I'm really hyped for the next ep with Sakamoto and Mutsu vs Zaku, and Gintoki vs that eyed thingy guy is probably the ep after it. Oh, the hype. Oh, and also: "Katsura janai, Zura da!" |
| I love this episode, mainly because of the moment where Gintoki says "when you're with us, be Zura." It shows that throughout the entire series, Zura was able to be this goofy guy with no burdens because Gintoki was his 'general.' It also explains why Zura became less radical after meeting Gintoki again earlier in the series. Man, I love Gintama so much. |
| This time the episode's title is placed - not at the beginning, nor at the end - but at the middle of the episode. Aptly placed, but that must be a new standard as to where titles are put. The next thing we know, Gintama might be concealing it's title anywhere in the episode for us to to search out in a game of hide-and-seek. |

| Hell yeah Zura was badass! I'm so glad the animation was good :) Man Gintama always has the best flashback scenes, they feel so emotional. Like I would kill for a prequel series of them in school with Shouyou-sensei.  |

Even though Gintoki said he was only taking the Sunday shift, apparently he was willing to carry the burden of being the general 24/7, and thus calls him Zura every time. |

| Katsura finally got his chance to shine, and it's Sakamoto's turn next...I couldn't be happier because I've been waiting so long!! Katsura's past was actually pretty sad, and I never knew that he practically raised himself, growing up with the philosophy that it doesn't matter how you survive as long as you do it. Seems legit, because what changes can you really make if you die and leave your soldiers without a leader? Also, never thought I'd see the day when Katsura actually called himself Zura...can't believe there was actual meaning to that whole gag. It represented the weight of his leadership vs. his shared burdens with Takasugi and Gin ;_; Hmmm, wonder if the Shogun is gonna get controlled by the mobile suit Guru guy?? God these cliffhangers are torturous...to think I have to wait a whole other week -_- |

| One reason why I love this arc is that we get to see the IDIOTS shine! and ZURA! YES! am bless to see this side of him! I'm glad that for once in my life we get to see a serious fight without him running away. He's proved to be a true leader in this episode! I also like his sad backstory. next ep is another one of my fav idiot! Sakamoto! looking forward to see his fight! |

| Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love Zura anymore, he goes and does this. One of the best Gintama fights yet. And that backstory . . . I always love learning more about Gintoki, Takasugi, and Katsura as kids. Also, I always thought Zura was hot, but geeze he was EXTRA hot in that episode. |

| The Gundam references nearly killed me, I almost choked on my lunch. Sakamoto ought to send the White Base crew (or perhaps the Zeons) an angry note or two. Still, by settling for being a Zaku, the mono-eyed villain sealed his fate... Seeing Zura's true colours was intriguing. I hope that will also be the case for Sakamoto's past. |
