When cyberpsychosis goes wrong, chaos and tragedy ensues.

Rest in peace Maine and Dorio.

Maine's last words to David broke me to the point that I looked like this lol.

What an absolute shit show of a mission.

Did I miss an episode? Because this one felt really disconnected from Ep.5.
Art direction was excellent and all that, but the progression of events felt really messy and seeing David acting this indecisive felt particularly forced as well.

Okay, I have been feeling a bit let down by this show so far, but this episode was VERY good. The direction was on point, and for once, I felt completely invested in what was going on. This episode made such a great job at making me process the real tragedy that is going on. Until then, it sometimes felt almost like dark humor, that was weird. Now it is getting interesting, if it keeps following this path-not necessarily in terms of "everyone dies, the end" but in terms of overall atmosphere-then I think I'll appreciate this show a lot more than I do for now.
I still have a complaint : now that three of the main characters are dead, I can say this show is really lacking some good character development and backstory. I think the problem is that it is too action-packed, I don't really get to know the characters as much as I want to, which means that even when I'm really invested, I'm not as invested as I could've been if I were more attached to the cast. And I doubt 4 episodes are enough to correct this issue.
And speaking of which, it's been two episodes without Becca, I wonder what is going on. I hope she'll show up next episode, not just because she is an entertaining character but also, and mostly, because it feels weird to see a member of the team just disappear without anything said regarding that, especially when the last time we saw her, she was going insane over her brother's death.

This episode was so chaotic and disjointed, as well was super claustrophobic. And I loved it! It really showed Maine's state of mind and what a mess that situation was.

Feel sorta hollow after this one. I figured the edgerunners crew had to end at some point though. I wonder how David's gonna progress after this though. It's just him and lucy now. actually, i wonder where rebecca is? lucy is definitely the character im most interested in so far, i dont know whether to trust her or not. she could be half real emotional about the crew dying and half planned this. she's hard to read. i'm pretty sure she was used or even made by arasaka though, after some of the hints this ep.

David cried. Didn't see that happen when his mom died. Are we seeing character development here? Just shows how Maine left a huge impact on him.

Was expecting Maine to die in this series, but not this soon. Dorio as well... I really liked her. She and Maine both. That was such a spectacular, emotional episode.

I AM NOT OKAY! NOT IN THE LEAST BIT!!

How many people is Daivd going to lose?! With only 10 episodes in the season I guess we have to move at a much more rapid pace. That's what those bonding montages are for. I'm so sad for Maine, but I feel the worst for Dorio. I knew he was going to get her killed and the way she protected him in the end...

2 moments I loved, especially. At the very end where David yells because he realizes he's actually going to leave Maine behind and that yell into the void where you have to make a tough call and do something you know is right, but you still hate it. And in the very last scene where the look of trauma and having become undone is written all over his face. His features don't align the way they're suposed to and he looks like he can't get a grip and pull himself together. Great episode, looking forward to the next one.

That was damn depressing. What a way to go for Maine. In a state of Cyberpsychosis, unable to tell friend from foe.
Tanaka tried to sweet talk David into coming back to the school. We of course know Tanaka's real intensions with the Sandevistan but David is hearing words to make him regret his actions.
Tragically, Lucy's work was in vain. They lost several allies that night and Tanaka didn't even have the data.
David's face at the end=real mood

I seem to be in the minority with thinking this series is going downhill as it goes on. Somehow it just doesn't feel as well thought out and feels really rushed. And for me the scene with Maine and Dorio dying could've had a much bigger impact if I just didn't feel like it was so rushed and flashy for the sake of it.

Also David's been really annoying me the past couple episodes. He caused this mess by feeling bad for the Arasaka dude while Lucy was still doing the task. Hope he realizes this. It was not the time to have his big moral dilemma. For how big he talks about himself is super annoying when all he does is mess up things when they matter by being insecure.
"Oh, I wasn't trying to be funny.. I would've put a 'Haha' at the end of it."

Sad to see Maine going so psycho and Dorio trying her best to keep him stable, but it's not enough. What a fucking blast of an episode. I've had so many emotions come up in just a span of 27 minutes. Everything shocking David. He doesn't know what to do and is completely lost in his thoughts while the rest are trying to work things out, but nothing seems to work. And lastly, Maine giving David the chance to run away. RIP THE GOAT.

Holy damn in 6 episodes or less we are introduced to Maine and Doria but it all ended in this episode, what a tragic end for what seems to be such a tight crew. Now that Maine, the leader is dead, the crew will never be the same anymore.

My only gripe is how sudden the introduction of Maine's cyber psychosis is. Perhaps he's been struggling with this issue for a long time but to me, to the audience, it suddenly just popped up in this ep and due to that, it costed the lives of him, Dorio and the future of the crew.

Damn, this will serve as a major turning point for David's character. To see the man whom he admires die in such a way, it's nuts.
