A "tragedy" type of story is the only type of story that work on edgerunner series, the first one got elevated due to the sad nature of it. With revenge and redemption theme, it should it end tragically for the mc atleast

Edgerunners is an adaptation of the setting, not the plot of Cyberpunk 2077. This new season will assumedly be more of that.
