| Not blown away by this first episode, but giving it the benefit of the doubt, as it does have potential. So I'll watch a few more episodes, see where it goes. |

The way it is portrayed is realistic and framed in a way that mostly elicits a sad appreciative smile rather than an attempt to laugh at her expense, which is a tone I can get behind, unlike in Kuma Miko or WataMote. It certainly strikes a good balance between poking fun at her social maladaptation and having both the audience and in-universe characters support and root for her to overcome it. It makes all the difference when an author loves their characters and wants them to succeed instead of milking them for cheap shots at abusive comedy. |

| It is relatable, funny, has human characters, blah, blah, I heard this and that but not much about the VA. Like holy shit, Bocchi's VA performance is just on a completely different level. Best VA this season by a mile. Never thought there would be an anime which would have me asking for more tell and less show. The camera angles are also pretty impressive. This is one of the things I would show when someone asks me why I love anime. |

| Must protec Bocchi. Have been delaying this anime for a while, but heard tons of people talking about it and praising it so gave it a try NOW. Amazing direction and animation. Characters look interesting. MC is relatable to like 70-80% of MAL users (me included) I reckon, lol. No wonder it has such a high score. You can feel the quality and effort put into this. It's rare these days to see a single episode of a show and realize you'll love it!!! |

| I had no idea anime would be this good. Definitely not a CGDCT show in my opinion. I already love Hitori as a protagonist, she's filled with so much character energy. |
